Date: 4 January 2026 Time: 3:30pm — 7:30pm Venue: Seminar Room #05-05, Toa Payoh CENTRAL Community Club (opposite the road from Toa Payoh Public Library) Fee: **$2.00** per person (**CASH only**, or use your unexpired FREE GS!R Pass if available) Free for kids below 16 years old, and seniors 60 years and above. This fee goes to our Toa Payoh Central Community Club's Youth Network fund which we use to purchase / maintain our games and support our other social service projects. Objective: Play Games! Make Friends! Players achieve these two to win! Strategy: Go around smiling at people. Introduce yourself and ask for names, shake hands and laugh loudly. Also, adhere to our Games Closet etiquette: — Return browsed game to its respective shelf--if you are unsure of shelf location, check Shelf Code on Game On! sticker (see sample sticker below) found on every game box. — File or stack game box properly within the shelf. — Don't bring more than one game to your table. — Return borrowed game that has been played to the Games Return Table. Here’s how the courts are split: 🏅 **1 Intermediate Courts : 1 Beginner Court: Court 4** * Solid consistency, mid-pace rallies * Shot placement is improving, but still work-in-progress * Great for those ready to level up 🎾 **1 Beginner Court: Court 6** (*For newcomers or those preferring a relaxed pace*) * Learning court lines, scoring, and basic rules. 🌀 *Paddle Queue System:* Place your paddle in line to join the next available game. Easy peasy. 🏆 **Official Tournament Balls:** All games will be played using **Franklin X-40 tournament balls** for consistency and a high-quality playing experience. **Paddle Queue System:** To keep things fair, players will place their paddles in line in box to indicate their turn in the respective court. **Rules of the Game**: * **Switch It Up**: After every match, you’ll get a new partner and new opponents. * **Scoring**: First to 15 points, rally style (no need to keep track of who’s serving—so much simpler lah). * **Timing**: Each match is capped at 15 minutes, so don’t peng san trying to win. * **Be Nice**: Keep it friendly—this isn’t the SEA Games, okay? *** ### **Why You’ll Love It:** * Play with a variety of kakis and test your skills. * End the day with new friends and maybe a snack after. *** **What to Bring:** * Your paddle (or rent one—we’re not judging). * Water bottle—don’t faint halfway * Your best “aiyah nvm” attitude when the ball goes sideways. 🔔 **Friendly Reminder:** Pickleball is a social and physical activity, please be mindful of your own safety and physical limits. Join us at Easton Town Center for a casual evening of board gaming. Play from our library or bring one of your favorites to share. We usually bring along Catan, Ticket to Ride, Cascadia, etc... We'll be set up at the Donatos Pizza Party Room. It was free for us to reserve, but you may want to buy a drink or go in on a pizza. Why Easton? Although there aren't any board game stores / cafes here, it's a nice area. More importantly, this event coincides with LifeTime Fitness Parent's Night Out, so our kid will get babysat. If you happen to be a member of Lifetime you too can get free babysitting and play some games.
