TUE Free Hatha Yoga - Tamar Park
TUE Free Hatha Yoga - Tamar Park
\*\*\*please register your session to attend\*\*\* Hi 👋🏼 Yogis I am yoga instructor Sophia. As a new yoga teacher (200 YTT certified), I’m excited to share the practice of stretching and Hatha Yoga with others, guiding you through mindful breath and purposeful movement. We’ll explore foundational poses, gentle alignment, and slow, steady stretches that honor your body's limits while inviting greater flexibility and balance. My intention is to create a supportive space where we practice together, learn from each other, and cultivate calm, focus, and presence both on and off the mat. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning after a pause, we’ll move at a comfortable pace, listen to our bodies, and celebrate small progress as we grow. FitFam is a welcoming community for fitness enthusiasts, including yoga lovers, to connect and make new friends, regardless of background or language.😇😁 The event is free. All you need to do is * Bring your own yoga mat * small towel to assist with stretching * wear comfortable outfit 🩷 We’ll meet at the wood deck by the waterfront of Tamar Park. Please look for the one right after passing the big lawn of Legislative Council Complex. Arrive a few minutes early, so we can greet each other and settle in before we start moving and breathing together. If you can’t find the location, feel free to text me or leave messages in the FitFam group 🩷 **Please pay attention to the weather, the FitFam WhatsApp group, and the event page.** In case of bad weather, the location may change to Central Pier 9 or 10. I will announce any changes one hour before the event. 🩷 If you cannot attend the event, please cancel your reservation. ⚠️𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍⚠️ Please take a minute to read the following information regarding your participation in FitFam workouts. Tue. Cafe Writing/Sharing Session
We are writers of all levels – beginners to published. And we meet at STARBUCK at IFC (P2 Shop2097-2098, International Finance Centre), Central for fun writing and sharing sessions! We all write a one-sentence prompt, then each select one at random. We write something based on the prompt for 45 minutes, after which, we share our work with each other and discuss as desired. Of course, sharing is optional but encouraged. (Feedback is always polite and respectful.) Alternatively, you can bring your own project(s) to work on in the company of fellow writers (published and yet-to-be published). You can share your project(s), too, if you want. It's all about creativity and productivity in a supportive environment! Any questions, just reach out to our organizers through Meetup.

Flourishing: The Art of a Life Well-Lived
Flourishing: The Art of a Life Well-Lived
"The ultimate goal of human actions is flourishing—a life spent pursuing what truly matters." — Aristotle **What does it mean to truly thrive?** Is it a feeling of inner peace amidst the chaos? A sense of purpose that guides your days? The joy of deep connection, or the quiet satisfaction of growth? This state of being—of "Flourishing"—is what we'll explore as the core of a life well-lived. This Curious Souls Cafe gathering is an invitation to explore this timeless question together. We'll not only touch on self-care but also dive into the deeper soil of human experience—the nutrients a person need to bloom. We'll share stories of what makes us feel most alive, discuss the barriers (both internal and external) that get in our way, and explore the practices—both ancient and modern—that help us cultivate a life of meaning, resilience, and joy. **Come with your curiosity. Let's explore the art of flourishing, together.** Inviting all who are... 🌱 Curious about what it means to live a life of purpose and vitality 💭 Reflecting on what "thriving" means to them, beyond just surviving ✨ Seeking inner resilience and grounding, even when facing challenges 🕊️ Interested in the wisdom traditions—from East to West—that point the way to a flourishing life 🤝 Believing that we grow best in community, sharing insights and inspiration 📅 Agenda / What You'll Experience 💬 Icebreaker Conversation Cards We will use virtual question cards designed to help people identify their own "path" to flourishing without labeling it. Here are some sample questions. * Describe a moment in the past month when you felt truly "alive" and engaged with life. What were you doing? * What is one personal "seed" of potential (a skill, a quality, a dream) you feel is currently waiting to grow? * Complete this sentence: "For me, a flourishing life has the fragrance of..." * What is one simple, daily ritual that makes you feel grounded and whole? * Where do you find your deepest sense of peace or connection? (e.g., in nature, in art, in silence, with certain people). From there, we’ll embark on a respectful, engaging, and meaningful conversation, celebrating the diversity of perspectives and ideas within the group. Note: * This session may involve virtual question cards accessed via a link or QR code. If you do not have a device (phone/tablet) to access these, please ask a facilitator for assistance; we have spare units available. * The exact format of the event may change depending on turnout according to [https://curioussouls.cafe/#how-to](https://curioussouls.cafe/#how-to) and other factors. 💬 Final Thoughts and Feedback Where time allows, in the final 10 minutes of the event, we’ll take a moment to reflect on the key insights, memorable moments, and takeaways from our discussions. This is a chance to distill the shared wisdom and leave with a deeper understanding of the topics we’ve explored together. After the event officially concludes, the group may choose to extend the session, depending on the group’s interest. Of course, you’re welcome to leave at any time that feels right for you. An anonymized summary will be shared for sessions where key insights are identified. After the meeting, our facilitators and participants may reflect on the discussion and contribute to a summary or collaborative workbook based on their notes and observations. Additionally, questions may be revisited in future sessions in an anonymized manner. To explore what our events are like, check out our official website at [https://curioussouls.cafe](https://curioussouls.cafe) 📍 Location City: Hong Kong Address: Empire Centre, 68 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East Inside the shopping mall of Empire Centre, there is a large open area dedicated to a café. We will sit at a round table or sofa inside (near a Hang Seng ATM or 7-Eleven store). Please look for the big words "Curious Souls Café" on our table. If you take the MTR, the nearest station and exit will be East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (Exit P1). From there, you can walk to Empire Centre, which is just a few minutes away. CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details: IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to all of YOU for volunteering at this (and any of our previous) CMG Gives Back events! Should be a good/fun/meaningful time together, Dan
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
Humanist Program
Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country. Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply. ### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?** Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment. ## **Why Join?** * **Improve Mental & Physical Well-Being** – Movement, nature, and supportive conversations reduce stress and promote balance. * **Feel Less Alone** – Build genuine connections with like-minded people in a safe, welcoming space. * **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection. ## **The Ideal Group Leader** The ideal group leader * Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community. * Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us. * Is independently financially stable with the ability to volunteer with no expectation of pay. This is a deeply beautiful journey of service that all participants commit to at Speak Your Mind. * An ability to manage groups with high emotional intelligence and desire for human connection. * An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms. * Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus. ## **Our Impact** ![](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/64a6315db1eb8d081603d9ea/028252c7-347e-4196-8c79-b81d2a4db4bb/Mountaineering+Guide+Trifold+Brochure+in+Pink+White+Modern+Minimalist+Style+-+2.jpg) Since launching, we have helped thousands find support, connection, and healing through our Outdoor Movement Groups. 100% of participants surveyed have reported: * A noticeable improvement in mental clarity and emotional well-being. * An increase in social connection and a sense of belonging. * Said they would return again. We believe mental health should be accessible, community-driven, and rooted in nature. Join us and take the first step toward a more connected, grounded, and supported version of yourself. ### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based** Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission! Every contribution helps us: * **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization. * **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year. By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic. ## **Come Join Us!** We’d love to have you be part of this growing community of people prioritizing their mental health, movement, and connection. 🔹 **Visit Our Website to Learn More:** https://speakyourmind.men/joinusoutside 🔹 **Apply Here to Lead Your Own Group!** – https://form.jotform.com/taketimespeakyourmind/sym-group-leader-application 🔹 **Support the mission**: If you resonate with the mission and want to support, feel free to join a group before applying or donate to help us reach our goals to help more people!
