Master Public Speaking at Goodyear Toastmasters
Join us this week as a guest to overcome your fear of public speaking and speak with confidence! We hold weekly meetings on Thursday nights to facilitate impromptu speaking, debates, discussions, and prepared speeches to practice our skills and give each other constructive feedback.
We are a friendly group of all ages and backgrounds in the GTA, where we help our members and guests in their personal and professional development. We typically meet at the Etobicoke Civic Centre with lots of free visitor parking. You can join us as a guest anytime you want, for as long as you would like, to see what Toastmasters is all about! \*NOTE\* We are now back in-person at the Etobicoke Civic Centre! Visitor Parking is free. Simply let the Security Person know you're here for a Toastmasters meeting.
• Our meetings start at 6:45 PM and lasts for about 2-hours. We suggest you arrive earlier to settle in and network before we begin.
• It's free to attend as a guest and you can join us as many times as you would like. For the full access to the Toastmasters Pathways Programme, however, you will need to join as a member and pay a membership fee.
• Don't worry about the low attendance numbers on Meetup. Members do not RSVP here. We use the club website instead. Meetup is primarily a place for us to reach out to newcomers such as yourself!
Etobicoke – Meditation Gathering
Join us for an uplifting evening of group meditation. Immerse yourself in the relaxing atmosphere of sacred mantras. It’s both simple to practice and sublime. These sessions are perfect for beginners as well as long time practitioners. Using breathing techniques, ancient mantras and group kirtan meditation, one can experience spiritual fulfillment, inner peace and self-realization. Kirtan meditation is perfect for calming the mind, relieving stress and anxiety and enabling one to experience happiness in the heart. Learn also the practice of japa yoga, a meditation technique practiced daily in solitude, and cultivate gradually a deep happiness within.
Refreshments will be served after class, all are welcome to stay. In accordance with ancient yoga traditions this meditation class is free of charge.

Don Valley Wilderness Trail Hike
Don Valley Trail Hikes have so much to offer - especially as the weather gets more warm.
The 8 km hike is not difficult but there are some hills. You will get some good exercise.
Everyone who has attended before has always enjoyed the hike.
After we go to the Farmers Market at the Brickworks which is really good.
Lets get a good turn out.
Please be sure to confirm and update your attendance.
We meet at Sherborne Station outside the front doors at 10 am. Please do not be late.
Vegan Potluck Brunch (and a walk or games)
This potluck will start at 11:30 a.m. (note the new time just for today as we are having brunch!). So, please bring brunch items like pancakes, waffles, tofu scramble, etc. Be creative!
If the weather is nice we can go for a walk to Dorothy McCarthy Trail which is nearby. If it's not then, we will stay indoors and play games. If you have a game please bring it! I will bring a few.
PLEASE bring enough food for 4-6 people. Bring your own utensils, plates, bowls, and cup as the centre does not always have an adequate supply of these. You are responsible for your own clean-up and if you borrow the items at the centre please clean them.
To find the room: Go through the main doors from the parking lot on the north side of the building. Before you get to the next set of doors (that are straight ahead), turn left through this door (there should be a sign that says Scarborough Vegans); and now go to almost the end of the hallway and it will be on the right hand side.
All are welcome veg-curious, vegetarian, and vegan as long as what you bring to the potluck is vegan!

We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country.

Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment.

* Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus.
