Sacred Mysticism of Egypt --Fotoula Foteini Adrimi
Embark on a luminous journey through the spiritual traditions, rituals, and esoteric wisdom of ancient Kemet. Blending historical insight with mystical interpretation, Fotoula Adrimi reveals how these timeless teachings can illuminate the path of modern seekers.
Stepping onto Egyptian soil in 2006, Fotoula Adrimi's soul knew that this was home on Earth. Goddess Isis lifted the veil of time from her eyes, revealing an ancient world of mysticism that can be retrieved to help life now.
These pages explore ancient teachings aimed at rediscovering our origin as beings of light who have come to Earth to experience and awaken. Egypt is a source of fascination that keeps calling the soul back from one lifetime to the next.
What is the source of power emanating from the temples, the statues of the gods and goddesses, and the strange images on the walls? What happens when we consciously enter the vortex of etheric energy placed deliberately by the ancients? We might find that we are forever altered.
This book takes us on a journey through time and space, through dimensions and different realities, through self-acceptance and self-love, to lead us back into our infinite spirit, where the source of magic exists.
Barang (Cambodian/Borough)
Get ready for a flavour‑packed night exploring bold **Cambodian‑inspired cuisine** in the heart of Borough Market! We’re heading to **Barang**, an exciting new restaurant residency above The Globe Tavern that’s earning rave reviews for its vibrant dishes, smoky open‑fire cooking, and shareable plates designed to delight.

Many reviews highlight Barang as one of the most exciting culinary experiences in South East London right now — with guests eager to order *everything on the menu*!
### 🍴 **What We Might Try**
While the menu changes seasonally and often leans into sharing small plates, here are some dishes that have been featured and sound irresistible:
**Starters & Small Plates**
* **Raw tuna** with compressed melon, lemongrass, coconut & lime
* **Diver scallop** with tamarind brown butter, pickled apple & pig’s ear crackling
* **Laab of venison** with pork fat & Khmer spices
**Grill & Bigger Plates**
* **Whole grilled red mullet** in banana leaf with Kep dipping sauce & herbs
* **Bone‑in sirloin steak** served with bone marrow, prahok (fermented fish paste) dripping & chilli relish

### 🍷 **Experience & Atmosphere**
Barang combines the buzz of Borough Market with laid‑back yet polished service, making it perfect for a **group dinner with fellow foodies** — especially those who love bold, aromatic, Southeast‑Asian flavours. The setting above The Globe Tavern adds a cosy, convivial backdrop ideal for shared plates and conversation.

Free Meditation & Yoga on Thursdays in Greenwich @ 7.30pm
Hello there! - We'd like to welcome you to Free weekly meetings hosted by Shalini & Manitu which take place at the:
Greenwich West Community & Arts Centre, 141 Greenwich High Rd, SE10 8JA,
on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.00pm
With Sahaja Yoga Meditation we normally sit on chairs to achieve yoga, effortlessly & spontaneously. So there is no need for mats and no special clothing required.
All across the globe, many are seeking new sources of energy. Meanwhile, the most transformative energy of all is hiding in plain sight, within us. It's natural, sustainable, and infinitely renewable.
It's called inner kundalini energy. And everyone already has it — everyone!. It is often likened to an inner feminine or motherly energy
which automatically knows about us and what is needed to help us restore balance and harmony within our subtle being. It works spontaneously, effortlessly, organically and cannot be paid for.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a simple time-honoured technique that lets you tap into that energy and harness its power to become better balanced and better connected to yourself — emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually
If you're having trouble juggling the challenges in your life, Sahaja Yoga Meditation might well help you manage stress, master your emotions and find solutions to your problems
. You may enjoy better health, better focus, and a deeper understanding of the universe and your place in it.
Meditation is not just for mystics and monks.
Sahaja Yoga meditation is for everyone. Anyone can do it. It's that easy. But with the Sahaja Yoga experience, you'll quickly realise, it isn't your typical Meditations 'R Us type class. It's much more than just feeling peaceful and relaxed. Sahaja Yoga Meditation has many layers, varied and deep. Explore at your own pace, in your own way. Our volunteer experts are always available to help.
Ready to plug into your inner energy? A Sahaja Yoga Meditation class is a great way to start. A few minutes of your life may be all it takes to connect to your inner energy and light the path to lifelong transformation. Sahaja Yoga is more than a temporary solution or quick relief — it is a journey, rather than a destination. It's all about energy — guaranteed pure and carbon neutral. You can never have too much of it.
The best part? All classes are free. No strings, no catch.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend, bring your self — all are welcome.

Soul Fuel ‘a spiritual open-mic’
Acoustic music, poetry and storytelling.
Soul Fuel Sunday is a monthly gathering of poets, storytellers and songwriters held at Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel. These intimate, unique evenings are not to be missed, offering audiences the rare opportunity to hear spoken word artists and songwriters perform completely unplugged, supported only by the natural acoustics of our gorgeous neo-Gothic Chapel walls. Each month, experience performances from musical artists interspersed with spoken word, storytelling, poetry and meditations, with singer-songwriter Russell Swallow.
Book Club Part 2 - Honouring the Earth.
**Honouring the earth** Part 2 of the book club 'Cherishing the Earth' led
by Alison Bybee and David Carter.
Join us for insightful discussions over tea and cake, as we explore a book that celebrates and reflects on our planet, searching for a spiritual response to the ecological crisis that confronts us all. We will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month for four months.
The book, *Cherishing the Earth – Nourishing the Spirit*, edited by Maria Curtis, presents a range of Unitarian responses to the global environmental crisis. Contributors include ministers, lay people, and children, writing from diverse theological and ethical perspectives, exploring what it might mean to live in right relationship with the Earth. Their insights range from the prophetic and political to the practical and intensely personal, but all share a sense of gratitude for the sacred gift of life.
Maria Curtis asks what changes we need to make in ourselves and in our society if we are to work towards healing the Earth and restoring balance to the global ecosystem: *“We need to re-imagine what a healthy relationship between humanity and the natural world might look like, one conducive to the flourishing of all beings onEarth.”* Rev. Dr Maria Curtis is a Unitarian minister with a background in education and psychology.
Our four book club sessions:
**18th January: Prophetic Voices**
**15th February: Honouring the Earth**
**15th March: Changing Hearts and Minds**
**19th April: Active Hope and Young Voices**
Each session will be standalone so that you can attend all, several or just one.
We encourage participants to buy or borrow the book and to have read the sections if possible beforehand. **Buy the book: email *[alonghurst@unitarian.org.uk](mailto:alonghurst@unitarian.org.uk)* (£12 plus £3.50 P&P) Subsidised books available by request for those in financial need, just contact: [ministryteam@rosslynhillchapel.org.uk](mailto:ministryteam@rosslynhillchapel.org.uk)**

**Why Connectival? And Why London Needs It**
London is one of the most vibrant cities in the world, yet many of us feel disconnected, overstimulated, and yearning for genuine human connection.
*Connectival, created and hosted by Ecstatic Dance London in collaboration with guest facilitators, is a response to that need.*
This gathering (we plan to run this every month) offers practical tools for connection that you can take into everyday life through movement, presence, and authentic conversation. These practices foster deeper relationships with yourself and with others, particularly in a fast-paced city urban environment like our beloved London.
Held just after Valentine’s Day, Connectival widens the idea of love beyond romance into something more human and sustainable. Friendship - Community - Expression - Presence, and Belonging.
Connectival is rooted in consent, inclusivity, embodied awareness, and respect for boundaries.
This is a space to feel safe, welcome, and human.
In a city that rarely slows down, Connectival is an invitation to pause, move, and reconnect with yourself and with others.
**What Is Connectival?**

Tupelo Honey
We’re heading to Tupelo Honey in Upper Arlington for our next group dinner, and this one’s all about comfort food, good vibes, and even better conversation. Think Southern-inspired dishes, cocktails that actually hit, and a space perfect for settling in and catching up.
Whether you’re coming hungry, curious, or just in the mood to connect with good people, this is the kind of night where conversations flow easy and nobody’s rushing out the door. Come ready to eat well, laugh a little, and enjoy the company. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Humanist Community Celebrating Darwin Day
Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program:
Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there!
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online
