Dublin Outdoor Map Reading and Checkpoint Hunt
We'll meet here, get maps, and head out to find a set of controls around the area. At each control, take a photo so we know you made it, then post your best shots to the group afterward. Expect light running, quick thinking, and a fun outdoor challenge. Wear comfortable shoes, bring your phone, and be ready to explore.
Stoney Writers Group
The goal of this group is simple: to support and encourage each other to write more (myself included).
I love writing short stories, but too often life gets in the way and I find excuses not to do it. This monthly group gathers together on the last Tuesday of every month in the lovely *Third Space* cafe in Smithfield to share and get feedback on our work.
We’ll each get the chance to share an extract from a piece we’ve written, read it aloud and get feedback (in a nice quiet creative space). Any form of writing is great – whether screenwriting, poetry, flash fiction or something else.
We pride ourselves in promoting a really friendly, safe space to share freely, but if you’d prefer to listen for the first while, that’s cool too.
If you fancy coming along:
* RSVP to an event
* Come along to a session
* Get added to our WhatsApp group once you're there
* Add a copy of your piece to our shared drive (so we can follow along as you read)
* You'll get 4 mins to read your work, and 4 mins of feedback
We have lots of regulars but always love welcoming new people, perspectives and writing, so do feel free to come along and I hope you enjoy it!
Tog Science Fiction Bookclub
For our next Tog Science Fiction Book Club, we’ll be reading *Camp Concentration* by Thomas M. Disch.
First published in 1968, this dark and thought-provoking novel blends science fiction, politics, and satire. Set in a dystopian future, it explores imprisonment, intelligence, power, and the cost of human progress. It should give us plenty to chat about on the night.
We’ll be meeting **in person** at **Tog Hackerspace** on **Tuesday, 28th of April at 7:30 pm**.
Whether you’ve read the whole book, only started it, or just want to listen in, you’re very welcome to join us. Our book club is always open to new people, and it’s a great way to discover new science fiction and meet fellow readers.
**Book:** *Camp Concentration* by Thomas M. Disch
**Date:** Tuesday, 28th April
**Time:** 7:30 pm
**Location:** Tog Hackerspace
Come along for sci-fi, discussion, and good company.
Networking for founders, creators, freelancers + rebels ⚡
**Free meetups for Rebels of all kinds, since 2013.**
Casual networking events with occasional fireside chats from founders, creators and successful business owners. No formal agenda, or dress-code (please wear something though). Drinks sold at the bar.
This event is free thanks to our partners, volunteer hosts and our generous hosting venue.
**More than just meetups...**
Rebellious Co provides everything entrepreneurs & business leaders need on their journey through an ecosystem of services. Primarily accessible via our membership, you can access a global community with game-changing benefits plus partnered services to help you start & grow your business from zero to one and beyond.
**From Suits to Scaffold - The Vulnerability of Leaving Comfort Behind** with **Laura Colleran,** founder of **Joblar.**
Laura left a secure, 14-year corporate career spanning the UK, Middle East, and Ireland to modernise recruitment in one of the most traditional, male-dominated sectors in the world of construction.
We’re creating a warm, open space to explore the identity shifts, the psychological friction, and the concrete walls of resistance that founders face when leaving stability behind. No filters. Just real conversation from someone who survived the trenches.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance.
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues.
So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them?
That is what this meeting will be all about.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Pace is around **12 mph**, but this is a fun, no‑drop ride — we can slow down as needed.
