🎉 MoLI's Bloomsday Garden Party 🌹
🎉 MoLI's Bloomsday Garden Party 🌹
**[Paid Event - 20 EUR | Ticket Mandatory](https://moli.ie/events/bloomsday)** This Bloomsday, step into the world of James Joyce at MoLI (Museum of Literature Ireland) where readers, writers and visitors from around the world will gather to celebrate one of the world’s greatest literary masterpieces in the very place where Joyce once studied. Join us for the annual **MoLI Bloomsday Garden Party**, running from 6pm to 9.30pm on 16 June. Guests can enjoy live performances from songwriter Cara Coyle and her band, as well as Dunny, a three-piece group featuring Donnacha O’Malley, Des Garvey and Jack McGarry. The evening will close with the joyful sounds of Regional Massapê, a Brazilian traditional choro ensemble. Presented in partnership with Teeling Whiskey Distillery, the MoLI Bloomsday Garden Party has become one of the highlights of Dublin’s summer calendar. Tickets are €20 for non-members, while MoLI members receive complimentary admission. Guests will be welcomed with a specially created Bloomsday cocktail courtesy of Teeling Whiskey Distillery. Located in the historic UCD Newman House, where Joyce graduated in 1902, MoLI is home to Copy No. 1 of Ulysses, personally inscribed by the author himself. From special Joycean-themed guided tours to live music and summer cocktails in the museum’s historic gardens, MoLI offers one of Dublin’s most memorable Bloomsday experiences. Set across a single day in Dublin in 1904, *Ulysses* continues to captivate readers and writers around the world more than a century after its publication. Joyce famously said that in writing the novel, he wanted to *“give a picture of Dublin so complete that if the city one day suddenly disappeared from the earth it could be reconstructed out of my book.”* [The Bloomsday Festival](https://www.bloomsdayfestival.ie/) takes place on 11-16 June 2026. It is organised by [The James Joyce Centre](https://www.jamesjoyce.ie/) in partnership with Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

BullIsland Beach Volleyball :)
BullIsland Beach Volleyball :)
Hi all, lets meet at 12h to play Beach Volleyball in BullIsland, near the car park on the "Statue of Our Lady, Star Of The Sea" side of BullIsland. From Clontarf Rd cross over "The Wooden Bridge" and keep going on until the end, turn left when you see the beach car park and keep going to the left. We will set the nets beside the car park 😉 Please avoid to park at the beach because the car can get stuck on the sand. If you come by car park as soon as you find space and then walk. The idea is to have lunch at the beach and play beach volleyball. Please bring water, sun glasses (for the sand more than the sun) and sun cream (even when it's cloudy you can still get burned with the wind). I would love to create another lovely healthy group to have fun with and enjoy the weather whenever it's possible. All levels are welcome because the goal is to have fun and do some exercise. Any questions please contact me over the phone: 0876819433, or put a comment on this Meetup. Please bear in mind that on the same day of the event it'll be driving so give me a phone call if you are lost.

Dublin's Newest Language Exchange
Dublin's Newest Language Exchange
Most language exchanges are built around **movement**. —fast rotations, brief chats, surface-level conversation. New table. New person. Start again. It feels productive. It isn’t. Real conversations don’t happen in 10 minutes. They start there. Then they get interesting. At Flip Lingoes, **you stay.** Same table. Same group. Enough time for real conversation and real connection, beyond the surface level. Every 5 minutes, you switch roles: **fluent speaker ↔ learner**, not people. Before you arrive, **[create a profile here](https://www.fliplingoes.com/language-exchange-dublin/)**[,](https://www.fliplingoes.com/language-exchange-dublin/) tell us what language you're learning. This helps our **automated matching algorithm** put you in the right small group. No awkward searching. No guesswork. Simply scan the QR code on arrival and it automatically matches you with fluent speakers of your target language. We host events at Zanzibar Locke: calm, well-designed, easy to hear, easy to focus. *** **Event Flow** 6:45–7:15 → Seamless check-in (QR code, get matched, sit down) 7:15–8:30 → Language Exchange (structured, focused) 8:30 → Optional social + snacks included **Crispy chicken wings. Cheesy loaded nachos.** Straight from Zanzibar Locke’s kitchen. Perfect for chatting, relaxing, and refueling after a great language session. **Entry:** €8 (tasty snacks included) **Bundles:** 4 events €24 \| 10 events €50\, purchase [here](https://www.fliplingoes.com/language-exchange-dublin/?pricing_filter=in_person#bundles-section) in advance for express check in. Save time and money. **Be generous and invite a friend for free:** It's simple. Create a profile [here](https://www.fliplingoes.com/language-exchange-dublin/), log in, and click “**Invite Friend** to sign up.” It generates a link and you send that to them. Easy and your friend will thank you later ;) If they register for the event before you, you both get free entry.🙌 \*P.S We ask if you consider to buy a drink at the bar upon arrival and support their venue and excellent hospitality in the heart of Dublin. *** **Why Flip Lingoes works:** * Go deeper: longer conversations at the same table * Speak with the right people via automated matching * Smooth, calm, focused environment * Fun social finish If you’re tired of restarting conversations and want to **actually speak beyond the greeting and small talk**, this is your place. [Flip Lingoes](https://www.fliplingoes.com) is a new and innovative language exchange event, with a clear vision: **To upgrade language exchange events online and in cities around the world.** Currently in Dublin, Zurich and Online. **Can you guess our next city?** **Flip into our world:** **[On Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/fliplingoes/)** **[Sign up to FlipLingoes.Com](https://www.fliplingoes.com/language-exchange-dublin/)** ***

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
