One of the defining changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is the proliferation of remote work, alternatively known as telework or work from home. Technology had been advancing to the point that many jobs could be done at least in part from home. When COVID started, many white collar employees became full time remote workers. Six years after the start of the pandemic, many of these people still work at least in part from home. Recent years have seen rising skepticism about remote work, particularly among management.
