freeCodeCamp x Encode | AI - Workshop: Demystifying OpenClaw, the New AI Agent
freeCodeCamp x Encode | AI - Workshop: Demystifying OpenClaw, the New AI Agent
# Beginners Hands-On Workshop: Breaking Down OpenClaw: From Minimal Installation Mode to Full-Featured Installation Mode w/ Your Own Custom Skills & More... **Registration to this event is only valid through the Luma platform:** [https://luma.com/it7a6h53?utm_source=meetup-dot-com](https://luma.com/it7a6h53?utm_source=meetup-dot-com) Hello code campers! Since **OpenClaw**, both as a project and as a tech movement, is growing, and since there is so much happening in this space, we've decided to dedicate the next **FreeCodeCamp \| AI** almost entirely to **OpenClaw,** especially following the success of the previous event. This is quite relevant since AI is moving soooo fast nowadays, making everyone scratch their heads confused while making some feel overwhelmed or have a small sensation of AI news fatigue. We will try to break down what this whole project is all about and whether or not all the hyperbolic statements about what this system can do are true. The aim for this workshop is to go through the setup process (it will hopefully take less time compared to last time because the maintainers of this project are constantly improving things), focusing on how to install the agent not only locally (virtualised, of course) but also in the cloud. We will probably look at AWS and GCP with the caveat: if you have your own server, which we encourage you to look into, the same will apply. This will be our **6th** event in our series of **local-first, open-source** AI events; therefore, we will try to focus on building a setup that doesn't depend on Big Tech but on smaller open-source tech instead. People who already have OpenClaw installed will be guided to customise it to use local LLMs or at least privacy-first cloud-based AI systems (that is because an individual's private ideas and personal project are their personal moat). At the end, we will be looking at what **SKILLS** are in the context of agents, how to build them, and if we have time, we will look at use cases for OpenClaw or, alternatively, look at emerging open-source AI agent toolkits like Pi. This workshop is open to all levels, from beginners to experts. Bring your laptop (make sure it's fully charged as local LLMs tend to be power-hungry), and don't forget to bring your coding gear (hoodie). This workshop will be accompanied by a guest speaker (full details TBA). *** ## Prerequisite First and foremost**, VERY IMPORTANT**, a VM (Virtual Machine) system like Docker/UTM for MacOs or WSL for Windows. Lastly, a local install of Ollama / LMStudio (but if you don't have any of that, don't worry, come a bit early and we will help set you up). If you want to take a quick look at the slides from the previous events fell free to do so: [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-01/](https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-01/) (Ollama); [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-02/](https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-02/) (LangFlow, not really related but still) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-03/](https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-03/) (private RAG w/ Anything LLM) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-04/](https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-04/) (AI-native browsers) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-05/](https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-02/https://github.com/andysign/ai-london-05) (OpenClaw basics) *** ## Agenda for the evening (Subject to change) **18:00 - 18:30 Arrival and networking** Mingle with fellow developers over refreshments. **18:30 - 18:45 Introductions (What is Local-First?)** Intro and a bit of audience engagement **18:45 - 19:40 Workshop** Hands-on technical workshop (if you are non-technical it's OK, tag along). **19:45 - 20:15 Guest Speaker (TBA)** **20:15 - 21:00 Networking** **21:00 - Closing remarks and follow-up** **END:** Carry on the fun at a nearby pub which is right @ the corner. *** ## Event Venue We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to **Encode Club**. [Encode Club ](http://encode.club)has spent over five years fostering a global community of developers, researchers, and founders in Web3, AI, and emerging technologies. The [Encode Hub](http://hub.encode.club) brings everything together under one roof, providing a dedicated environment for collaboration and innovation through meetups, co-working, and in-person events.

Street Art Walk: Old Street to Spitalfields
Street Art Walk: Old Street to Spitalfields
Old Street, Shoreditch and Brick Lane feature an impressive variety of street art and graffiti, created by both internationally recognised artists and emerging local talent. Artists whose work can often be seen in the area include: * **Dan Kitchener** – known for colourful, atmospheric murals often inspired by Japanese cityscapes. He also created a large London mural commissioned by the NYX Hotel in Holborn. * **David Speed** – best known for his distinctive series of neon-style paintings. * **Sweet Toof** – a renowned British street artist famous for vibrant, often grotesque depictions of oversized teeth and candy-inspired imagery. * **Banksy** – the internationally celebrated and famously anonymous street artist who needs little introduction. * **Jim Vision** – recognised for his bold, colourful murals, including the Dragon and Crow mural near Old Street. A key influence on the development of the local street art scene was **The Dragon Bar**, which operated from 1998 to 2008. The venue became an important gathering place for artists and creatives in Shoreditch, and Jim Vision’s Dragon and Crow mural is thought to reference this period. Along the route we will also pass **Arnold Circus**, believed to be the site of London’s oldest council estate, as well as other notable locations such as Brick Lane. After the walk, we will stop at **The Astronomer** for food, drinks, and socialising. **Liverpool Street** and **Moorgate** stations are both nearby for convenient transport. * **Distance:** approximately 5 km * **Please note:** Attendance is at your own responsibility. *

Master Night Street photography - A Beginners Guide In Low-Light, Neon & Noir
Master Night Street photography - A Beginners Guide In Low-Light, Neon & Noir
**Let's Shoot Noir Street Photography in Soho London After Dark** This mini-workshop event focuses on shooting street photography after dark. You will learn tips for low-light shooting, handheld techniques, and how to creatively use existing city lighting. Soho after dark has a completely different energy. Neon signage, theatre lights, and passing traffic create natural contrast, cinematic tones, and deep, moody shadows. The location itself becomes part of your frame, adding atmosphere without the need for a flash. This session focuses on capturing moody, neon-lit street photography using the city’s existing lights. You’ll learn to see, interpret, and use the available light creatively. Occasionally, a model will be present as a point of focus to help you practice shooting subjects in various real-world night-light conditions. *** **What You Will Learn** * **Reading Available Light:** Observe neon signage, street lamps, traffic, and reflections and use them creatively in your shots. * **Handheld Night Shooting:** Adjust ISO, shutter speed, and aperture for sharp, well-exposed images while shooting handheld. * **Creative Use of Light on Subjects:** Learn how to make people stand out using the available neon and street lighting. * **Exposure and Mood Control:** Balance highlights, shadows, and neon to capture the “noir” atmosphere. * **Quick Observation & Reaction:** Train your eye to spot photo opportunities in challenging night conditions. * **Getting to Know Your Kit:** Understand what your camera and lenses can do in low light so you can react confidently. *** **What to Bring** * **Camera Kit:** A fast lens (prime or zoom, around 35–50mm, f/1.4–f/2.8) is highly recommended for best results at night. You may bring your best lens for practice, but you may struggle more in lower-lit situations. Message me if you want advice on gear before booking. * **Essentials:** Cleared memory card and fully charged batteries. Extra batteries recommended. * **Travel Light:** Comfortable shoes and clothing suited to the weather. *** **Event Info** * **Duration:** 2 hours * **Group Size:** Max 5 * **Meeting Location:** Soho, London *** **Bonus for Members** * **FREE DOWNLOAD – Beginner Street Photography Tip Sheets:** Master Night Street Photography For Beginners Tip Sheet covering the key topics from this event. You will receive a download link to follow along during the session. * **FACEBOOK COMMUNITY GROUP:** A private group for Meetup members to showcase their best work, receive critique, advice, and tips.

COLUMBUS SPIRITUALITY MEETUP
We are excited to host Guided Meditations on Sundays at 6 pm in our Ashram/Gallery/Home! !! !! Everyone wants to know what kind of God we worship and what kind of meditation we do. We worship the GOD that LOVES US! We understand that god is an energy and it lives in us as us. Our meditations guide others to actually experience that energy! xoxo We don't just talk about peace, love and affection, we experience it :) Also we are a home not a business, so we enjoy building community one friend at a time. We always build in time for people to mingle & develop friendships! xoxo Much Love, Frank Tennyson Namaste, Frank Tennyson http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/a/f/9/9/600_447824953.jpeg
ServiceNow's Got Talent
ServiceNow's Got Talent
Builders, creators, architects, admins, consultants - come one, come all. This one's for you. We're bringing a little friendly competition to the Columbus ServiceNow community while highlighting the cool things people have built on the platform. Five presenters will take the stage to showcase something they've built, solved, designed, or imagined on the ServiceNow platform - and a panel of judges (plus YOU, our amazing audience) will score them live. So basically, America's Got Talent but make it ServiceNow's Got Talent. Bring a notepad if you'd like 'cause you'll definitely be learning something new. Each presenter gets 10 minutes max to wow the crowd with: • A demo • A real-world business solution • A bold idea • A UX transformation • Or a creative use of the platform Judging Criteria: 🏆 Business Value 🚀 Innovation ✨ User Experience This event is about celebrating ideas, sharing knowledge, and showing how ServiceNow can drive both business impact and meaningful user value. Come learn. Come support. Come get inspired. Refreshments and bites will be provided. And maybe next time… you’ll be on stage.
