Everybody's welcome to join us in a chill intimate atmosphere, sitting around the tables with pizzas and drinks. It's kinda like singing in your living room (or listening to live music there), but in a mic and surrounded by 30-40 people :) Everybody who wants to sing is welcome to perform one song on the first round, and 1 song on the second round depending on the time the first round finishes (usually first round ends at around 11.30 - 12). Sometimes, there's even a third round, but that's rare. No need to register before the event or even during, you're potentially registered at the moment you enter the room and can sing at the end of the round that you entered the circle. This is mostly an open mic and with some jamming around it, meaning that solo instruments can join in if the singer is comfortable with that (most of them are, but not always, so it's not guaranteed), so we often have some solo guitars, and more rarely some sax, cello, violin, etc. Percusions aren't allowed anymore unfortunately due to neighboors complaints. People can either perform by themselves or sing along with others, or meet some guitar players or singers who could play / sing with them. If you can only sing but not play, try coming with someone who can play for you as Im never sure who will come and what they can or want to play (guitar players are here for fun, it's not guaranted they'll want to play what you want to sing, or even know the song at all). You can also just take the time to meet some musicans there and ask them if they know the songs you'd like to play cuz it's also a perfect atmosphere for musical experiments without any pressure and to meet a whole community of live music lovers. Or you can also just improvise, which is usually the easiest thing to do actually. Of course, non musicians / singers can also just come and enjoy the atmosphere and music and meet the community. As I've been running those events for quite a while now and post them on Meetup and Couchsurfing, the crowd is a nice mix between expats, travellers and locals. L'idée est de se retrouver dans une ambiance intime et de créer une communauté d'amateurs de live music, qu'ils soient musiciens, chanteurs ou public. Au niveau des nationalités, c'est aussi un mélange de locaux, d'expats ou de voyageurs de passage. Il s'agit en priorité d'un open mic où l'on encourage certains instruments (guitares / sax / violon / violoncelle, etc) à faire des solos si le/la chanteur/se le veut, ce qui est le cas pour la grande majorité des gens. Les percussions sont par contre interdites à cause des plaintes des voisins. Rejoignez-nous pour une **soirée pleine de bluff, de stratégie et de fous rires** autour du célèbre jeu **Les Loups-Garous de Thiercelieux**. Que vous soyez **nouveau joueur ou fin stratège**, tout le monde est le bienvenu ! 🌙 **Le principe :** Chaque joueur incarne secrètement un rôle : simple villageois, loup-garou affamé, voyante perspicace… ou peut-être quelque chose d’encore plus mystérieux. Le jour, les villageois débattent pour tenter de démasquer les loups-garous. We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
