Networking. **🙇‍♀️ Facilitan** * [Gabriele Brambilla](https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabrielebrambilla1989/) \- Data Science Manager at Dow Jones with over a decade of experience building machine learning solutions in complex\, data\-heavy environments\. * [Igor Jauk](www.linkedin.com/in/igor-jauk-phd-643a42113) \- Senior Data Scientist at Dow Jones with about 18 experience in the field of Machine Learning \- from speech technology to NLP\. * About the talk, at Dow Jones, we make information understandable through curation, intelligence tools, and premium journalism. With the rise of Generative AI, we’ve built solutions for information extraction and synthesis that uphold our rigorous standards for output. Join us as we dive deep into the practical challenges of integrating GenAI with strict editorial guidelines and hallucination detection techniques, and explore how we solved them.

Circle Song: Improvised Body Music
Circle Song: Improvised Body Music
**Invitation** **We are the instruments.** A participatory, improvised, embodied practice that reconnects us to one another through rhythm, voice, and play. This is a guided yet fully improvised experience, using the facilitation tools and methods of [Musica do Circulo](https://www.musicadocirculo.com/en). No prior experience is required, only an openness to connect with other humans in your own fun, light and authentic way. Circle songs are an invitation into a fully immersive, fully improvised musical experience using vocals, body percussion and movement. It draws inspiration from musical embodied rhythm practices from around the world, including call-and-response singing, rhythmic clapping games and circle song traditions. Simply by standing in a circle and connecting with our bodies as our instruments, we are reminded that we can find joy and meaning right here in this present moment, and in the next.

Colectivo Farina #3 / AKASHA HUB - NAVE 1
Colectivo Farina #3 / AKASHA HUB - NAVE 1
DevOps BCN Meetup - March 2026
DevOps BCN Meetup - March 2026
*** **Hello, fellow DevOps enthusiasts 🤓** On March 26, we'll meet again for a couple of insightful talks, hosted by **[Mews](https://developers.mews.com)**! 📍 **Location**: Cloudworks, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 613, 9th Floor. Check in at the ground floor entrance *** 📅 **Agenda** * **19:00 - 19:15** Welcome from the hosts * **19:15 - 20:00** DevOps in Space: Lessons from Low Earth Orbit * **20:00 - 20:45** FinOps from the Code: Controlling Cloud Costs with Terraform and Infracost * **20:45 - 22:30** Networking & Snacks *** 🎤 **Talks & Speakers** * **Title: DevOps in Space: Lessons from Low Earth Orbit** * **Speaker**: **David Jacovkis** * **Duration**: 30-45 mins * **About:** I started as a sysadmin when workloads ran on bare metal, and Devs were the enemies of Ops. The industry changed, and we changed with it, but at the end of the day, we're still the ones who receive an alert when things stop working. * **Abstract**: Remember when you knew all your servers by name and deployed changes with a single SSH command? Now imagine doing that when your link comes in 10-minute windows every few hours, and bandwidth is a precious commodity measured in kbps. Welcome to DevOps in Space. At Sateliot, our Infrastructure & Software Engineering team works at the intersection of aerospace, telecommunications and software. We build modern distributed systems and then send them to an environment where normal expectations -low latency, immediate feedback, up-to-date systems- simply don’t apply. In this talk I’ll give a high-level tour of the challenges that make space and telco different: intermittent and low-bandwidth connectivity, long feedback loops, constrained devices, and the cultural gaps between aerospace, telco and software teams. I'll also share some adaptations that allow us to apply some of the DevOps processes and tools that have become industry standards. *** * **Title: FinOps from the Code: Controlling Cloud Costs with Terraform and Infracost** * **Speaker**: Julia Lamenza * **Duration**: 30-45 mins * **About:** Julia is an SRE with 15 years of Linux experience. Obsessed with automation, uptime, and catching flights more than outages * **Abstract**: In many engineering teams, cloud costs are still a surprise that shows up at the end of the month. Infrastructure gets deployed with Terraform, services scale automatically — and only when the bill arrives does someone ask: why are we paying so much? That's where FinOps comes in. *** 🏢 **About our host** **Mews** has been on a mission to build technology that puts people back at the heart of hospitality. Meet their R&D team on [LinkedIn](https://linkedin.com/company/mewsrnd) or directly on [developers.mews.com](https://developers.mews.com). *** 🔑 **Important Access Note:** Doors open at **18:45**. Please make sure to check in at the **ground floor entrance** upon arrival.

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
