Open Awareness Meditation Group Meetup
We gather for guided meditation with periods of silence, followed by discussion. The silence is interspersed with meditation instruction, perhaps a brief reading, a simple inquiry, exploration or movement.
We meet every Monday night, 7:30 pm Eastern Time, ONLINE.
If you find you are running late, come anyway! The format is very relaxed and open— anyone interested in contemplative practice is welcome!
About Open Awareness Meditation Group
At the heart of these meditation sessions is the silent exploration of what we refer to as Open Awareness. We all know what it means to feel closed, limited, vulnerable, or separate. What is it like to allow ourselves to return to our natural condition of openness, presence, non-separateness and ease? This is what we explore in our meetings.
We have been meeting for over a decade. We explore and share primarily from traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as the Indian Nondual tradition of Advaita. Some current teachers of this are Francis Lucille, Rupert Spira, and Eckhart Tolle .
However all of these traditions ultimately point to the same truth, the truth of our basic awareness or presence which is beyond any tradition, practice or teaching. This is the presence we share, and the presence we are, beyond words.
The meetings are open to newcomers as well as experienced meditators, and all are very welcome.
TO ATTEND:
You can register by going to Awakeningheartpracticecommunity.org. Find the Monday Night Open Awareness Sitting in the Schedule, and click on Register. Only a name and email address are required. Once registered, you'll receive an email with the Zoom link. Save the link - you only need to register once.

########
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are taking a hiatus from our in-person Hack Nights as we deal with the implications of COVID-19. We encourage teams to continue project work and to meet virtually from 6:00-8:00pm on Mondays. Our ability to provide pizza and snacks will be compromised, however :).
Individual teams will have access to video breakouts via Zoom. You can use Slack for breakout rooms if you like.
We are also exploring possible projects we could take on to help address this public health emergency. Please email codeforkc@kcdigitaldrive.org if you have any questions or are interested in working on immediate public health-related projects.
Thanks,
Aaron, Paul, and the rest of the Core Team

Good Critical Thinking Skills Exercise
We're meeting online these days - please join us! We usually have about 6 - 9 people at each meeting, and we bring information from things we've read or seen during the preceding week to discuss. Have you read a good book or article? Watched a though-provoking video? Please bring insight to share.
The link to join us online will be published about a half hour before the meeting starts. See the meetup page for that link.
BTW, most of our regulars don't sign up through meetup. It looks like nobody attends, but that's not correct.
Hope you can join us!

What If Your AI Could Be a Team? - Chad Green
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.
