King of Diamonds | Journey Across DRC Congo Kinshasa + ROC Congo Brazzaville
Along the banks of the River Congo on the western side of Central Africa are two capital cities, the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Kinshasa, and the Republic of Congo’s Brazzaville, both home to dapper Sapeurs, gateways to vibrant tribes of mystical dancers, gorillas, geologic wonders in heart of darkness rainforest jungles, and kingly incarnations among ancient tribal kingdoms.
If you haven’t heard the term before, **Sapeurs are followers of a fashion culture** in Brazzaville and Kinshasa, members of the Society of Ambiance-Makers and Elegant People, made up of day labourers, taxi drivers, or even gardeners, but dressed to impress in dapper designer suits and treated like rock-stars in their communities for the joy and colour. We’ll find these Ladies and Gentlemen of the Congo in both capital cities and they’re looking forward to meeting you!
Beyond Brazzaville and into the heart of the Republic of Congo we’ll find the **Téké Kingdom and it’s own capital village Mbé** where we’ll meet the modern incarnation of their King Makoko. The village has preserved the vestiges of this once heroic kingdom which once spread across 85,000 square kilometres extended into Congo and the former Zaire. Expect to hear stories from village elders, chieftains painting their faces in bright yellows and reds, and tribal ceremonies to keep you up at night.
Our trip would not be completed without meeting **eye to eye with lowland gorillas,** for which one of best spot is on our way in Lesio Louna.
Further on into the rainforests is the **Nkila Ntari Caves, a descent of more than a kilometers deep underground** will take us past cave paintings.
**Let’s go!!**
**Day 1 // Kinshasa Arrival**
After arrival and immigration formalities, we’ll have a first look around Kinshasa and take in the high fashion of the Sapeurs before dinner and overnight at hotel.
**Day 2 // Kingdom of Kuba**
Congo coffee and fufu breakfast before we hit the bumpy road to Kuba Kingdom.
The Kuba village we will head to, is one of the remnants of what was once powerful 17th century empire. They are renowned for rich artistic traditions, particularly intricate geometric raffia textiles, and had a complex, centralized political system with a royal army and administration.
**Day 3 // Voodoo ceremony**
We start the day with traditional voodoo ceremony and continue taking in the best of Kinshasa, including National Museum and artisan galleries.
**DAY 4 // Crossing to Brazzaville**
In the morning we head to port for boat crossing to Brazzaville! Take in the Sapeurs performance on the other side and wander around town before we check-in to hotel. Enjoy a dinner and toast to our border crossing into the Republic!
**Day 5 //** **Lowland Gorillas** **and Teke Kingdom**
Departure to Lesio Louna Reserve for encounters with the **Lowland Gorillas.** Then we’re off to Mbé village to meet King Makoko in the capital of the old kingdom of the Tékés! Village elders will tell tales of the old kingdom, chiefs will paint their faces in red and yellow, and we’ll have a chance to talk to the King himself. After our encounters with kings, head to our lodge in Ngabé for dinner and rest.
**Day 6 // Queen Ngalifuru and Kebe-Kebe in Ngabe**
This morning we meet Queen Ngalifuru and deliver a few gifts as tribute. Be mindful, she has a few magical powers! We have much to explore and people to meet in Ngabé before the mystical dance of the Kébé-Kébé in the evening, a performance not to miss! We’ll spend the night in Ngabé lodge.
**Day 7 // Nkila Ntari Caves and Punu Tribe**
Very early breakfast before drive to the Nkila Ntari Caves where we’ll have a speleologist-led look around the rock arts and formations of this kilometre-long tunnel. Afterwards continue on to Nkayi to meet and see the Punu tribes’ performances. Overnight in the hotel.

Lemur Trails | Journey Across West Coast of Madagascar
Picture a setting sun tinging the **sky with hues of red, purple, and orange, the mighty baobab striking a squat pose against the sky,** its plump trunk leading up to a few delicate flinger-like branches, making for one mystical sight. One Arabian legend says the devil plucked up the baobab, thrust its branches into the Earth, and left its roots in the air. A tree so distinctive they named it twice!
Easily recognized by their swollen base at the trunk which gives the tree a bottle-like appearance. They can be **as short as 5 meters to as tall as 12 meters with the bottle-trunk up to 5 meters in diameter**. With blooms in the spring of large white flowers which only open at night, these ancient trees have many tales to tell, given **their estimated age up to 2,000 years!**
**Few places on Earth offer such an intense kaleidoscope of nature** as Madagascar, from fertile hills cascading with terraced rice paddies, forests of every kind from wet & rainy to dry and spiny, and a laterite-rich soil which gives the country it’s nickname of “Red Island”. With thousands of kilometres of coastline, the sea is never very far, turquoise and idyllic, dangerous and mysterious, big adventure on the world’s fourth largest island.
There is no other place on Earth where you’ll find more **lemurs because they’re only found in Madagascar!** Endemic to the island and evolved from monkeys and apes, they once were as large as the male gorilla! **There are now over 100 species of lemurs**, in all shapes and sizes, from the pygmy mouse lemur to the long-tailed Indri.
And while the signature animal of Madagascar is the Lemur, there are many weird and wonderful creatures, from the eerie-looking **fossa-fossa (a cat-dog crossover)**, **colourful and camouflaged chameleons**, oddly shaped insects, vivid frogs, graceful rays and turtles, several species of sharks, and humpback whales during the winter months.
**Madagascar, from East to West, from Lemur to Boabab, on the road, the river, and the sea!**

Trans Balkan | Journey Across Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia
**Sitting at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, the Balkans are a region that has been shaped by movement, exchange and conflict**. From the Ottomans to the Austro-Hungarians, over centuries empires have risen and fallen here, leaving behind a layered cultural identity that is still visible today. While the 20th century brought a more turbulent chapter, particularly during the breakup of Yugoslavia, what stands out now is this resilient region’s incredible cultural and natural richness.
Travel through **Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Croatia** reveals a constantly shifting cultural landscape, each country offering its own distinct character while sharing deep historical ties. You’ll find Ottoman-era mosques alongside 19th century Austro-Hungarian façades, socialist-era architecture next to lively café-lined streets, and a shared love of hospitality that runs throughout. Food is a highlight: hearty, flavourful and rooted in tradition, whether it’s grilled meats, slow-cooked stews, fresh breads or strong coffee lingered over in a busy square.
Our journey begins in **Belgrade**, Serbia’s cool and slightly gritty capital city. Set at the meeting point of the Danube and Sava rivers, its historic Belgrade Fortress offers sweeping views and a sense of the city’s strategic importance through the centuries. From here, we’ll head into the Serbian countryside, where villages like historic **Mokra Gora** show us what rural life was like in days gone by.
In tiny Bosnia, **Sarajevo** is often described as a place where East meets West. Ottoman bazaars sit nearby colorful Baroque squares, and the city’s tragic recent history adds another layer to its story. The city is also known as the **"Jerusalem of Europe"**, due to the fact that the four major faiths of Islam, Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox Christianity, and Judaism have coexisted here for centuries. Further south, **Mostar** offers one of the region’s most recognisable sights in the elegant Stari Most, a UNESCO-listed bridge that brave divers leap off in the summer months.
Crossing into Croatia, the landscapes shift from forest to dazzling Adriatic coastlines. Towns like Šibenik provide a gateway to some of the country’s best national parks, including **Krka National Park** and the lake-filled **Plitvice Lakes National Park**. Wooden walkways will lead us past waterfalls and through turquoise waters, offering a refreshing break from the city.
The final stretch takes us into under-the-radar Slovenia, a land of pristine lakes, towering mountains and tranquil alpine meadows. The compact and picturesque capital, **Ljubljana**, is perfect for a riverside stroll, while nearby we’ll find highlights like Kranjska Gora’s jagged peaks and **Lake Bled**, with its iconic island church and clifftop castle, a must on every traveler’s bucket list.
Taking in four countries and countless epic sights, this is the Balkan adventure of a lifetime.
**Let’s go!**
**Day 0 / SER: Flight & Arrival in Belgrade**
Meet at DXB for a direct flight to Belgrade.
Upon arrival in Belgrade, immigration and transfer to the hotel to get a good night’s sleep before the adventure begins.
**Day 1 / SER: Belgrade**
We start things off with an exploration of Belgrade, an underrated European capital that offers incredible culture, history and gastronomy, without the crowds. This morning we’ll tour the city’s highlights, including the iconic Belgrade Fortress. Built on a ridge above the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, and dating back to the 2nd century, the fortress has been destroyed and rebuilt countless times over 16 centuries. Today, it stands as a powerful symbol of the city’s long and often turbulent history.
In the afternoon, we’ll head out of the city center for some nature and views, visiting the Avala Tower, a 205-metre-high structure atop Avala Mountain offering panoramic vistas across the region, and Košutnjak Forest, often referred to as the city’s “oxygen factory”.
Overnight in Belgrade.
**Day 2 / SER-BOS: Belgrade – Mokra Gora – Visegrad - Sarajevo**
Today we leave the city behind and head into the mountains towards Mokra Gora, a picturesque traditional village sitting between the Tara and Zlatibor ranges, offering a glimpse of life in rural Serbia. Here we’ll take a ride on the famous Šargan Eight, a narrow-gauge railway that loops in a figure-eight through 22 tunnels, revealing expansive views of forested hills and valleys.
Crossing the border into Bosnia, we’ll make a stop at Visegrad to see the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, one of the region’s most striking architectural landmarks. Spanning the Drina River, this 16th-century Ottoman bridge is UNESCO-listed and offers a picturesque spot for photos.
We’ll continue to Sarajevo, where we spend the night.
**Day 3 / BOS: Sarajevo – Mostar**
We’ll start the day with a tour of Sarajevo, a city defined by its cultural and religious diversity. It’s one of the few places where a mosque, Catholic church, Orthodox church and synagogue can all be found within walking distance, reflecting centuries of coexistence. In the old bazaar of Baščaršija, Ottoman influences remain strong, from the architecture to the tradition of slow-brewed Bosnian coffee, showcasing the city’s reputation as a place where “east meets west”.
Later, we’ll take the gondola up Trebević Mountain, rising 1,627 metres above the city, which once hosted events for the 1984 Winter Olympics. We’ll enjoy the views before continuing our journey south.
En route to Mostar, we’ll stop in Jablanica to visit the Neretva River battle museum, a memorial to the pivotal WWII battle of 1943.
Overnight in Mostar.
**Day 4 / BOS-CRO: Mostar – Kravice – Šibenik**
Today we discover Mostar, the historic capital of Herzegovina, developed as an Ottoman frontier town in the 15th century. Its beautifully restored old town centres around the iconic Stari Most, a 16th-century bridge that was destroyed during the Bosnian War and later rebuilt, now standing as a symbol of reconciliation. We’ll wander the UNESCO-listed Old Town, explore the narrow streets of the bazaar, and soak up the blend of Islamic and European influences.
We’ll continue on to Blagaj Tekke, a 16th-century Dervish monastery set at the base of a cliff beside a spring, combining Ottoman and Mediterranean architectural styles. Our next stop is the lush Kravice Waterfalls, a wide cascade on the Trebižat River, close to the border.
Crossing into Croatia, we’ll continue to the Šibenik area, where we spend the night.
**Day 5 / CRO: Šibenik – Plitvice**
Today we get a dose of stunning nature as we explore Krka National Park, a majestic, protected landscape of cascading waterfalls, emerald pools and rich biodiversity shaped by the Krka River. Wooden walkways and trails make it easy to experience the scenery up close, including the impressive Skradinski Buk falls.
Afterwards, we’ll stop in the historic riverside town of Skradin, a settlement with over two millennia of history. We’ll enjoy a relaxed lunch before continuing inland to the Plitvice region.
Overnight in the Plitvice area.
**Day 6 / CRO-SLO: Plitvice – Ljubljana**
Today we visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia’s oldest and largest national park. Its 16 interconnected lakes, linked by waterfalls and natural limestone barriers, are famous for their constantly shifting colours, from deep azure to vivid green, caused by mineral-rich waters. Wooden boardwalks wind through the landscape, offering an immersive way to explore this UNESCO-listed site.
Later, we’ll visit Rastoke, a picturesque village where traditional houses and historic watermills sit among a network of small waterfalls at the meeting point of two rivers.
We’ll hit the road again and cross the border into Slovenia, continuing to Ljubljana, where we spend the night.
**Day 7 / SLO: Ljubljana – Kranjska Gora – Bled**
This morning we’ll set off into the Julian Alps towards Kranjska Gora, a charming alpine town near the borders of Austria and Italy. Known as a gateway to Triglav National Park, Slovenia’s only national park, it offers a pristine landscape of mountains, forests and glacial valleys, perfect for hiking and scenic drives.
Next we’ll explore the most iconic of Slovenia’s sights: the fairytale-like Lake Bled. This glacial lake, known for its striking blue-green waters, is centred around a small island topped by a 17th-century church and overlooked by a dramatic cliffside castle dating back over 1,000 years. This incredible destination offers stunning views from every angle, and once we’ve had our fill (and taken hundreds of photos), we’ll head back to the city.
Overnight in Ljubljana.
**Day 8 / SLO-CRO: Ljubljana – Zagreb**
This morning we’ll hit the road first thing, crossing the border back into Croatia. We’ll make our way to Zagreb, the country’s capital and main transport hub, where Central Europe, the Mediterranean and Southeast Europe meet.
Setting out on a tour, we’ll take in the city’s chic café culture and the beautiful architecture in its charming Old Town, passing by highlights such as Zagreb Cathedral, St Mark’s Church, the Lotrščak tower, offering one of the most beautiful views of the city, and the Gric Tunnel, built as a refuge during WWII and used again during the Croatian War of Independence in the early 90s.
Overnight in Zagreb.
**Day 9 / CRO: Departure**
Free morning to explore and do some last-minute souvenir shopping, before we head to Zagreb Airport to catch our return flight.

Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you.
You can also call/msg : [0503551536](https://wa.me/+971503551536)
**What’s This Meetup About?**
We explore big questions and share ideas to spark curiosity and broaden our thinking. The goal? To learn from each other’s perspectives—not to push our own views. This isn’t about quoting famous philosophers or winning debates; it’s about questioning, reflecting, and challenging our own assumptions in an open, respectful space. Success means leaving with more questions than answers!
**What Do We Discuss?**
At each meetup, we vote on a topic—anything from "What’s the purpose of life?" to "Do parallel universes exist?" No philosophy degree needed—just bring your curiosity and a love for thoughtful conversation.
**Event flow**

* One-on-one discussions
* Group discussion
* Mini activity

Wild Russia | Spring in Kamchatka, Russia
**Between the jagged ridges of the Vachkazhets Mountains and the expanse of the Pacific Ocean lies Kamchatka,** an untamed peninsula long considered **the very** **end of the world.**
This is a place that exists in adventurers’ wildest dreams: a land where volcanoes breathe, glaciers carve into the earth, crystalline rivers flow through endless forest, and nature puts on a show that never gets old.
Tucked away in the far east of Russia, this wild land is just a stone’s throw from Alaska across the Bering Sea. Once an exclusionary military zone, **Kamchatka remained closed to the outside world for decades**, and has only recently started welcoming curious travelers. That long isolation has kept it astonishingly pure, a rare frontier where the modern world still feels refreshingly far away.
Here, **more than 300 volcanoes** **rise dramatically from emerald forests and golden tundra.** Dozens of them are still alive and rumbling. Snow-capped peaks tower above steaming valleys, giant Stellers sea eagles ride the winds, orcas glide through icy coastal waters, and king crabs rule the seabed. Keeping watch over it all is the true king of Kamchatka, the mighty brown bear.
This season, we invite you **deep into the soul of southern Kamchatka**. We will conquer the landscapes in sturdy off-road trucks, raft down sparkling rivers, sail into the open Pacific, and soar by helicopter over smoking volcanoes and hidden geyser fields, reaching places few humans have ever set foot upon. In a single day you may wander from flower filled alpine meadows to bubbling geothermal wonderlands, bathe in wild hot springs, and watch salmon leap while brown bears fish just metres away.
**In Kamchatka, nature is not merely scenery,** **but a living force.** You can feel its warm breath rising from the ground, hear its heartbeat in the roaring rivers, and taste its untamed spirit in the salt air and wild berries.
**This trekkup is far more than a journey**. It is a rare and privileged immersion into one of the planet’s last great wildernesses, a land of fire and ice, bears and boiling springs, where the forces of creation still shape the earth before your eyes.
Here, as we stand on the edge of the world, every moment reminds us how small we are, and how deeply alive we can feel when we stand face to face with raw, untamed nature.
**Welcome to Kamchatka. Let’s go!**
**DAY 1 // Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky & Paratunka**
Following our 6-hour domestic flight across the endless Siberian skies, we’ll arrive in **Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky**. A quick drive will take us to our cozy hotel, where we’ll freshen up and have free time to take it easy, beat the jet lag, and get super excited for the days ahead!
There’s the option to stroll around the historic centre of the town or head straight to **Paratunka** and its natural banya (hot springs) for a relaxing soak, in true Russian style.
**DAY 2 // Starichkov Island sea trip**
This morning we head straight to the seaport, jump on a boat and **head out of Avacha Bay into the Pacific Ocean**.
Gliding past the silent sentinels of the Three Brothers rocks, we’ll pass weather-beaten Babushkin Kamen Island, and round the edge of Cape Stanitsky, where the sea opens to reveal **Starichkov Island**. This living sanctuary is a bird paradise, where thousands of puffins, guillemots, cormorants, and murrelets swoop and soar through the skies, watched by the seals and sea lions lounging on the rocks.
What could make this day even more perfect? A delicious lunch! In our first introduction to regional delicacies, we’ll **feast like kings on fresh Kamchatka king crab**, flounder and rockfish. Heading back to port, we’ll stop at the city museum before wrapping up the day.
**DAY 3 //** **ATV trip to Vilyuchinsky Pass & Dachnye Hot Springs**
Today we jump on our ATVs and head straight into the wild volcanic landscape, our hair blowing in the wind. First stop is the **Vilyuchinsky Pass**, offering the stunning sight of a chain of nine volcano tops stretching out into the distance.
On to **Dachnye Hot Springs**, known as the Mini Valley of Geysers, where hot mineral waters spill from the base of Mutnovsky volcano. An easy trek will get us up close and personal with the geothermal madness: steaming vents hissing like angry kettles, bright orange and yellow mud pots bubbling away, and colourful mineral deposits that look like someone spilled paint all over the ground. The air is thick with the sharp bite of sulphur. Hear the Earth breathing: slow, deep, and so alive!
Hungry? A picnic amid this geothermal bonanza just hits different. A selfie with sandwich surrounded by steaming vents and bubbling pots will make it unforgettable!
**DAY 4 // Snowmobile trip to Avachinsky Volcano**
Today it’s time to stand face-to-face with the mighty Avachinsky, an active stratovolcano standing more than 2700 meters above the tundra.
We’ll hop on our snowmobiles and roll up to base camp right on time for a tea break. We’ll explore this black and white playground further, feeling the how small we really are in this valley between the looming Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes. Back to base camp for another round of hot tea before calling it a day and heading back to civilization.
ALTERNATIVE direction (depending on the road conditions): **The Mayachny Cape.**
**DAY 5 //** **Meet the locals & Ozerki** **thermal waters**
Today we step away from the volcanoes and focus on **the human element of Kamchatka**, a place where the Koryak, Itelmen and Even peoples live in harmony, thriving in one of the harshest environments on Earth. We’ll learn how they’ve survived in this wild land for thousands of years: reindeer herding, fishing, and continuing shamanic traditions. Expect stories, songs, maybe a quick dance performance, and the chance to try on real national costumes for some epic shots. The highlight will surely be the kennel full of **energetic Kamchatka huskies** and other northern breeds. You can pet them and even try driving a dog sled yourself if you’re feeling brave!
In the afternoon, we’ll head to **Ozerki** for today’s grand finale:
bathing in the natural thermal radon water swimming pool. Silky-soft, pleasantly warm and therapeutic, any soreness or stress will instantly melt away. As we float, muscles turning to jelly, the cold Kamchatka air numbing our faces… this will be an experience we never forget.
**DAY 6 // Optional activities**
Free time at leisure for optional activities.
**DAY 7 // King crabs & volcanic sands**
For our final day, we’re going full Ocean Mode, meaning crab fishing and volcanic Pacific shores. After breakfast we’ll head to Avacha Bay, jump on a motorboat and commence our **hunt for Kamchatka king crab straight from the icy sea**. Back on shore, the crew will boil up the massive spiky legs right there in seawater.
We’ll continue on to the legendary **Khalaktyrsky black sand beach**, walking barefoot on the dark volcanic sand with the Pacific waves crashing beside us. Wild, cinematic, unreal are the words to use here.
On the way back to hotel, we’ll have time for a shopping haul at the fish market – think smoked fish, caviar, and souvenirs – before heading back to the hotel.

Twin Green | Journey Across Sao Tome and Principe via Ghana
**Welcome to the unknown paradise!** From waterfalls in the middle of the jungle to banana-shaped beaches passing through a national park , these islands of the Gulf of Guinea boast of being one of the least visited places on the planet and of being that exotic destination and **Paradise that you thought you could only dream of**. It is the part of land closest to the center of the planet - coinciding with the passage of the Equator and very close to the zero meridian. Are you coming on a trip to a country so unusual that few manage to locate it on the map?
São Tomé marvels with their **Portuguese colonial mix**, beaches and the laid-back atmosphere in the Gulf of Guinea. To define themselves, Santotomenses use a very graphic expression, derived from Portuguese: they are leve-leve. That is, calm, relaxed. And it is that relaxation seems to preside over this country that is both the center and the end of the world.
**It is not a tourist destination at all,** despite how much it has to offer like wild postcard beaches. A very important portion of virgin forest, declared a Biosphere Reserve, with the Ôbo Natural Park as the main banner, numerous cocoa plantations or coffee (known as roças). A country with dazzling landscapes with incredible volcanic chimneys emerging in the middle of nowhere, a huge number of endemic animal and plant species, as well as others such as sea turtles, birds and whales, which are part of the objective of many nature lovers visiting the country.
The small country exhibits the traces of a troubled history that began when two Portuguese navigators landed in 1470 in this then deserted site. A story that is revealed to those who wander the streets of the capital (which is called, like the island, Santo Tomé).
The parallel architectures of this tiny city summarize the history of the country: some old wooden huts evoke the initial time, when the islands were populated by slaves brought from the mainland. Some colonial buildings with large wooden balconies recall the five centuries of colonization. Uniform, greyish apartment blocks hark back to the era of real socialism, from independence in 1975 to the political and economic liberalization of the early 1990s. Meanwhile, a few ultramodern buildings made of large glass point to the future.
The engine of the country's wealth and today constitutes one of its great cultural and tourist attractions: **las roças**. If it weren't for the insidious humidity, the visitor could have the sensation of landing on some sugar plantation in the Brazilian northeast: the same buildings with a colonial flavor, the same atmosphere of an old decayed empire. Also its train to transport the merchandise, as some old rails recall.
**The most incredible landscapes on this side of the equator**, with various reminiscences of films such as Jurassic Park, King Kong as well as others in which the jungle is the setting. To top it off with a tropical fruit market, canoes with freshly caught fish, the smiles of the happy people of the islands and a veritable swarm of children jumping into the river to play as if there were no tomorrow. São Tomé and Príncipe will fill many blank pages on your adventure notebook.
