PoO26 bar crawl
Good Beer Week is cancelled but Pint of Origin 2026 is **onnnnnnn!!!!**
https://pintoforigin.com/
Location: Starting at the Lincoln in Carlton (Tasmania) then moving to Whiskey and Alement (optional), Heartbreaker (North of Yarra) and finishing at Venom Brewing (NT).
🗓️ Saturday 16 May 2026
⏰ 3PM – 7PM
***beernerds is a multiplatform group, attendance is. typically 10-20 prople including attendees on Meetup***
Every year this 10-day event crops up and I slap my own face 🤦🏽 for forgetting it (except that one year I lined up 3 events in quick succession and ended up poisoning myself!)
I'm more organised this year, so much so that the dates have been set but no final details are available regards the venues and themes (recall each venue will represent a particular region in Australia/the world).
There is a huge number of pubs and bars involved but for maximal exposure with minimal transporting logistics I propose we hit up the Central Crawl.
As above, starting at the Lincoln in Carlton who are providing a variety of Tasmanian beers we face a daunting 1.4km urban hike. Fret not, we will have 2-3 stops along the way to recoup and refuel.
My aim is to complete the crawl within 4 hours but we can see how we feel about each venue and maybe stay a little longer if the beers are particularly enjoyable.
I will do my best to monitor Meetup for messages but I don't mind sharing my contact so that you can check where we are in case you're running late.
Footscray Puppy Pub Crawl
Open to all dog lovers, dog owners, and of course your sociable pooches!
Join us for a Saturday arvo bar crawl through the vibrant, eclectic streets of Footscray — designed to be just as fun for the humans as it is for the pups.
We’ll stop by three pawsome venues, all within 1 km, each with its own unique vibe, tasty drinks, and treats for both two- and four-legged guests.
Ticketed event only - please book you tockets at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/footscray-puppy-pub-crawl-tickets-1705773036069?aff=oddtdtcreator
🥂 Stop 1 – Littlefoot Bar
Right in the heart of Footscray, this community-favourite bar is loved for its warm vibes and killer cocktails.
We’ll be seated at Littlefoot Next Door, their pop-up space, where humans can enjoy:
✨ Special-priced Espresso Martinis
✨ Special-priced “Jesica Rabbit Fiz” mocktail
Meanwhile, the doggos won’t miss out — there’ll be snacks waiting just for them!
🚶♀️ 350m walk to our next venue
🍻 Stop 2 – Mr. West Bar & Bottle Shop
With 30 taps pouring wine, cocktails, craft beers and ciders, Mr. West is a Footscray institution that defies categories — except one: dog-friendly!
Here’s the best part: the pups get to sip on Hop Nation Doggie Beers 🍺 (don’t worry, made from bone broth). Packed with nutrients for coat, joint, and gut health — it’s basically a health tonic disguised as a treat!
If the weather turns, we’ll cozy up in the courtyard upstairs.
🚶♂️ 450m stroll to our final stop
🎉 Stop 3 – Moon Dog Wild West
This venue is a playground for adults (and pups who like attention)! With 100 taps across three floors, a mechanical bull, stage, pool hall, and rooftop vibes — it’s the perfect finale.
They’ve reserved the rooftop for us, complete with:
🍟 Bowls of hot chips
🥑 Chips & guac to share
Want to stick around? Grab dinner here and keep the good times rolling.
🐶 Why join?
Because Saturday afternoons are better spent socialising over cocktails and cuddles.
Your dogs get treats, playtime, and new furry friends, while you discover some of Footscray’s best bars with like-minded dog lovers.
📌 The Nitty Gritty
All dogs must stay on-lead while visiting venues.

Lunch at Panton Hill Pub
## 🍷🔥 **Panton Hill Pub – Lunch, Laughs & Possibly a Little Carry On** 🔥🍷
*Melbourne Women’s Over 50 Friendship Group – Northern Branch*
Ladies, it’s time for a **proper pub lunch** — the kind with good food, great company, and conversations that start sensible and end somewhere near “how did we get onto that?” 😆
We’re heading to the **Panton Hill Pub**, where the meals are hearty, the vibe is relaxed, and no one cares if you stay a *little* longer than planned (and we will).
📅 **16th May**
🕛 **12:00 PM**
📍 Panton Hill Pub
***
### What’s on the menu:
🍽️ Proper pub food (none of this tiny, decorative nonsense)
🍷 A cheeky wine… or two… or we stop counting
😂 Laughter that may attract attention from nearby tables
💃 Women who absolutely deserve a long, lazy lunch
***
This is your official invitation to:
* cancel anything remotely productive
* order what you actually want
* and enjoy a lunch where calories don’t count and neither do the hours
We’ll arrive as respectable women…
…and leave as legends. 😏
👉 RSVP wisely — pub tables fill fast and we don’t do standing around looking hopeful
Brunswick Scottish Party and Dance - BYO drinks etc
Please Note: Due to renovations of our normal hall we have a new place for December and the first 6 months of 2022. This is a smaller hall so numbers are limited.
A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a night of traditional Scottish dancing. Join with the Brunswick Scottish Society and learn how to do fun dances, and have some BYO drinks. Don't worry if you don't know how to dance -- the lovely people will teach you. This is the best $5 night you'll ever have!
This is like a big party in a hall with BYO drinks, BYO glass/cup, BYO food and lots of Scottish Dancing. Most of the dances are like square dances with everyone being told or shown what to do. A few of the dances are similar to those done at ballroom places such as the Pride of Erin Waltz, Parma Waltz, Charmain Foxtrot or Evening 3 Step. Don't worry if you don't know any, they teach you.
It finishes early, about 11pm, which is good as it's cheap drinks (BYO) you are probably best to use Public Transport. The 96 Tram gets you back to the CBD quite quickly. Some of us pop around the corner after and go to the Lomond Hotel on Nicholson St. The Lomond Hotel normally has a good band and dancing with free entry. Note: The number 96 tram just outside the hotel is one of the trams that is now running all night.
It is a family event so you can bring children who might enjoy learning to dance. There can be six or seven other children there or there may be none.
FAQ:
COST: $5 tickets at the door
TIME: 7:45pm for an 8pm start
LOCATION: 21 Harding St, Coburg VIC 3058
Note our normal hall is under renovation. Please don't go to Fleming Park Hall, 104 Victoria St., Brunswick East (the building just east of the Brunswick Bowls Club - 96 tram, stop #26. Note: If you end up at the tram terminus you have gone one stop too far.
FOOD: Normally we bring food for a shared dinner - such as pasta, a salad, or cupcakes. Due to covid we are currently not having a shared dinner but you can bring snacks for yourself or immediate group at your table.
DRINKS: bring your own + bring glasses/cups
WEAR: plaid/tartan if you have it. It's not required, it's just way more fun!
AFTER: drinks at the Lomond Hotel on Nicholson
Note: This is being placed on a number of meetup groups and similar. We feel that having around 50 people dancing is quite good for this hall but previously had months with it going towards double this. Consequently we're now setting maximum RSVP numbers with the maximum being shared between groups. We monitor the total RSVPs over all groups and when we get enough people we cut off each group's maximum so that further RSVPs go onto wait lists.
Melbourne New Moon #175- Klingon @ Exford Hotel

Runners and walkers welcome. Run: 7-9Km. Walk: 3-4Km.
Hare: Klingon
Location: Exford Hotel
A unique afternoon tea - One-hatted Oxi Tea Room
There have been some requests in the group for an afternoon tea, so here’s a really unique one!
Oxi Tea Room was awarded one Hat this year and delivers an incredible afternoon tea experience. Here’s an example video of one of their previous menus: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIA3AtEh4bf/?igsh=MW5lN3ZmaGxkeHFwag==
The new menu titled ‘Hatched - The Loop’ has just been released (menu here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cO4e2-mPF2ZE_C6Pce3FTallVZGlP1nJ/view) and I have booked this for 6 Fine Diners to enjoy from 12pm on Sunday 17 May. The price is $128 per person and includes a tea and a welcome drink. You can purchase additional teas/drinks on the day if you wish.
Join the waitlist to express interest.
Once I have names in the waitlist, I’ll send you a ‘Meetup Message’ to confirm you have a spot and how to pay. You’ll need to send me the full cost of $128 to secure your place as this is charged for cancellations.
Once paid I’ll move you from the waitlist to going.
Please check that you don’t have your settings blocking messages; if I can’t contact you I’ll have to move on to the next person. Also if you don’t respond to my message within 3 days, I’ll let you know that I’m offering the seat to the next person on the waitlist.
Thanks and I’m looking forward to trying this beautiful-looking afternoon tea with you!

Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group!
The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play.
Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes.
We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area.
Parking can sometimes fill esrly. There is additional parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
