Ai & Dinner - Luxembourg’s AI Minds Turn AI Conversations Into Real Connections
## AI & Dinner - In-person gathering in Luxembourg
Hey there! Join us for another **in-person evening** in Luxembourg where AI enthusiasts come together to chat, share ideas, and enjoy great food.
Whether you're a pro or just curious about artificial intelligence, this is the perfect chance to connect and exchange with like-minded people.
Our next dinner will take place on **Tuesday, 5th May at 19h00**, at **Chiche! Limpersberg, 20 avenue Pasteur, 2310 Limpertsberg**. *(Private Big Tables reserved)*
See you there!
**AI & Dinner** is the seated, more intimate format of the AI & Coffee community — designed for deeper conversations and real connection around the table. This will be a dinner where we all sit together and **switch places at during the middle of the event**, so everyone gets the chance to meet the full table, connect, and discover new stories.
To preserve a great group dynamic, this gathering is **limited to 30 people**.
You’re welcome to bring friends if you’d like. The goal is simple: enjoy dinner together, exchange ideas, value, updates about AI, and meet the people behind this growing community. After our AI & Coffee meetups and previous dinners, many meaningful connections have already formed — and this format is where they really deepen.
🍽️ **We’ll gather for conversations about:**
• AI news, trends, tools, and real use cases
• Personal projects, ideas, and feedback
• Supporting each other’s personal or entrepreneurial journeys
• Strengthening Luxembourg’s AI community
👥 **Who’s welcome?**
Developers, entrepreneurs, investors, students, researchers, creatives — and anyone curious about AI who enjoys thoughtful conversation and meeting new people.
💡 **What to expect**
• A friendly, open dinner atmosphere
• Circulating seats throughout the courses
• Great conversations, new perspectives, and genuine connections
• No pressure, no presentations — just good people and meaningful exchange
**🎉 The only cost is your dinner.**
Bring your curiosity, your appetite, and your good energy — and join us for an evening of conversation and connection.
Umweltauswirkungen von Software "at scale" erfassen

Not Hike - PMJ Concert
Hello All,
Post Modern Jukebox is coming again to Luxembourg!
I bought my ticket well in advance as always. I thought maybe wants to join me.
PMJ is less a band but more a project consisting of many gifted artists. They take songs not older than 80s and redo them in a 20s, 30s or 40s style. Sometimes it is difficult to recognise the original. Nevertheless all songs are great.
Tickets: https://rockhal.lu/shows/scott-bradlees-postmodern-jukebox-2/
Songs:

https://youtu.be/YsUB6Jia4v4?is=bywpwaMOo3GUzdmE
and many more!
Let's see how many will join me. I will post where I will stand. We can also organise ourselves where to meet. Maybe in the train as I will certainly go by train.
Basically anyone with a ticket can join.
Hope to see you

This talk will focus on a single question: ‘Where do you belong?’
The idea of ‘home’ reflects one of the deepest and most universal of human experiences. ‘Homes’ may be physical, emotional, intellectual or cultural – they reflect aspects of life with which we identify, where we feel comfortable (or challenged) and where we belong. They are a defiant response to our awareness of the vastness of space.
From Diogenes and Buddha to Nietzsche and Heidegger, we’ll be looking at the experience of belonging, and exploring ways in which it shapes our thinking about the nature of self, ethics and politics.
Over the last 50 years, **Mel Thompson** has written more than 40 books on philosophy and religion and is probably best known for the philosophy titles in the long-running ‘Teach Yourself’ series. His website is at [essexthinker.com](http://essexthinker.com/).

Women in AI Luxembourg, first gathering
If you use AI at work, are curious about it, or have been quietly avoiding it, this room is for you.
I wanted to create a space where women can talk about AI together. Somewhere it feels easy to ask questions, share what’s working, and learn from each other without any pressure to already know things.
AI has become a big part of how I work and think, and I love talking about it. Expect me to share generously, whether you’re just starting out or already building with it.
No expertise required, no demos, no pitches.
Just women talking honestly about how we use AI, where we feel stuck, what we want to learn, and how we can open doors for each other in this space.
Whether you opened ChatGPT once and closed it, or you’re already building with it at work, you belong here.
The format:
• Light intros, one prompt each
• Open conversation around a few questions
• Time to actually meet each other
Wednesday 6 May, 7pm
Konrad Café & Bar, 7 Rue du Nord, Ville-Haute
Conversation in English.
Order what you’d like at the bar. RSVP to save your spot.

This session shows what you can actually do with it beyond basic traffic routing. We will touch the logging and SWG coexistence benefits before we dive into token replay protection via the Compliant Network check and Universal Tenant Restrictions as a network-level DLP control for external tenant access.
In this session, my focus will be—in addition to covering the basics—on practical tips for getting started, and of course, there will be demos as well.

Wir freuen uns auf deine Teilnahme.

Flesh by David Szalay
**Attention**: Based on past no-shows, everyone will start on a waiting list by default. Once you confirm (in a comment or by PMing me) that you’ve actually read the book, I’ll move you to the “going” list. Thanks for understanding!
I still remember quite vividly how, on November 11th, I opened the culture section of The Economist and read the following:
«“Flesh” is a deceptively complex work which finds original ways to explore masculinity, intimacy, class divides and power struggles. When asked to sum up his book, Mr Szalay declared it was about “being a body in the world”. That body belongs to Istvan, and his world is a place in which he is a passive participant, unable to speak his mind or articulate his desires.»
I bought the book immediately and was struck by how intensely I could resonate with it.
Let’s see if it resonates with any of you, too!

Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs.
This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing.

CBusData - Practical AI for Power BI Developers
Practical AI for Power BI Developers
A year ago, “agentic AI” was mostly hype for Power BI teams. Today, it deserves your undivided attention. For Power BI pros, there is now a real opportunity to reduce repetitive development work, accelerate delivery, and help developers do more, but only when strong DataOps practices are in place to make AI workflows effective.
This session is a no-nonsense introduction to effective AI patterns for Power BI and Fabric development. Along the way, we will make sense of the growing pile of terminology, including skills, plugins, hooks, and MCP. You will see examples of how modern AI tooling can help with development tasks across Power BI and Fabric, along with the prerequisites, guardrails, and DataOps principles needed to use it responsibly.
Whether you're burned out on AI hype or already using Copilot CLI daily, this session will show you the foundations that are finally making AI-assisted development genuinely useful.
Westerville Queer Coffee Meetup

LLM Showdown: ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini vs Local Models
Join us for a practical, beginner-friendly guide to choosing the right large language model. We’ll compare major models like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama, talk about when to use hosted APIs versus local models, and break down the tradeoffs around cost, speed, quality, privacy, context windows, coding ability, and reliability.
You’ll leave with a clearer mental model for picking an LLM based on your actual use case instead of hype, benchmarks, or brand names. No deep AI background required.
LOGISTICS AND PARKING:
The talk starts at 7:00 PM. The first half hour is reserved for everyone to get set up and mingle. Free pizza and drinks!
The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.
