Accessible-format life drawing and portrait session with a range of poses from 2 minute tutor-led warm up exercises to 15 mins in the first half of the class with general tips and tuition. In the second half, a long portrait pose of 35-40 mins with a demo/draw-along led by tutor Rod who will show and talk through the process of drawing a portrait in front of the class. There is the option of doing a life drawing or a portrait as the model will be fully nude throughout. One-to-feedback given where required. Material and half-time tea provided.

Walk length 13miles/20km approx. Circular. A chance to explore some Cotswold countryside close to the edge of Oxford with a number of features including the views of Blenheim Palace from Blenheim Park, the pretty market town of Woodstock and the remains of a small Roman Villa that is free to visit at North Leigh. Blenheim Palace was designed in an English Baroque Style and was the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. North Leigh Roman Villa dates from the 4th century and is regarded as one of the larger Roman Villas of Roman Britain. Lunch and Finish Please bring a packed snack lunch and water for the walk, we will probably have lunch at Woodstock. This is a medium hike with undulating terrain. Transport & meeting Meet outside Hanborough Train Station for walk to start after the train arrives at 10.54am. The 9.47am from London Paddington gets to Hanborough for 10.54am. If you want to meet for groupsaves suggest meeting close to the WHSmith at Paddington (see photo below) at 9.20am to give yourself time to get tickets. The Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park is a historic site for public speaking, debate, and protest. Let's meetup there to listen and watch. If we're lucky, there will be talented speakers. Then we will look for a spot away from the attention of the crowd and practice a few speaking rounds between ourselves. Being outdoors, we will train clear articulation and voice projection. What works to get the attention of listeners: being bigger than life, showering them with good energy, pleasure to be alive, enthusiasm! Then we will sit on the grass and eat sandwiches from our bags. I, Jean-Marc will lead this session. As a storyteller (storytelling is a performing art) I have the experience of being on stage, on my own, and hold adults' or children's attention for one hour or more.
