Park Volley āļø š š“ @ Hasenheide
**Join us for outdoor grass volleyball in Hasenheide park!**
This event is not suitable for complete beginners.
We play with two nets. The "chill court" is for mixed-level play with 3v3 up to 5v5. The "competitive court" is for higher-level 2v2 play with beach rules.
Be sure to wear suitable sports clothing and perhaps bring a drink.
There are no facilities such as changing rooms and showers in the park. A nearby public toilet is also available, but it might be closed, dirty, or not have toilet paper.
**Location**: We play in the narrow clearing, located between the two paths in the center of Hasenheide park, on the southern side. Updates will be posted in the WhatsApp group, which you can join via [https://tinyurl.com/ParkVolley](https://tinyurl.com/ParkVolley)
**RSVP**: Put yourself on the waitlist, even if other people are already on there. The waitlist is not chronological, so even if there are 30 people on there, you still have a chance! If you get a spot, you will be moved to the attending list and notified by Meetup. This is a free event with limited space. **If you can't make it, promptly update your RSVP to NO** so others can take your place. If you do not show up or cancel last minute, you will be marked as a no-show, reducing your chances of getting off the waitlist in the future.
**Payment:** This event is free, but you are invited to make a 2 EUR donation towards equipment.
**Attending**: Do not join if you have an infectious disease. You need to be on the attendee list to attend; **being on the waitlist is not sufficient**. Do not bring friends that are not on the attendee list. **Showing up without having a valid RSVP will get you banned**.
**Safety**: Mind the terrain. The grass might be uneven and contain items such as bottle caps. It is not suitable for diving or playing like on a beach. Be careful not to twist your ankle. Keep an eye on your belongings since we are in a public park. We do *not* have a full first aid kit available. Please inform the organizer of any medical conditions that might require attention during the event.
Some things you *might* want to bring:
\* Drink
\* Snacks
\* Insect spray
\* Sunscreen
\* Toilet paper, if you wish to use the public toilet

\- 11:30\-12:30 \- Silent focus time
\- 12:30 \- Discussion of books/ projects over coffee
Afterwards, join for lunch if you'd like (optional).
**Drinks & snacks are included** āļø
* **To reserve your place, a ticket (ā¬9,90/event) or a community pass (only ā¬19,90/MONTH) [from the website](https://pausify.org/) *www.pausify.org* is required**
* **Attendance here doesnāt show all sign-ups from other platforms. We usually have about 50 to 100 people at each event.**
***FAQ: Why does it cost money if I bring my own project?***
Because we rent a beautiful, central space for every event. Ever thought your monthly apartment rent was too high? Well, multiply that ā thatās what commercial spaces in big cities like Berlin cost *per hour*.
Of course, if all you want is just some quiet time, your home or a library is perfect. But if youād like to focus & connect with others in an inspiring space ā with drinks, snacks included ā thatās what your ticket helps to cover.

**WHY GO?**
The Briesetal is one of Brandenburgs most scenic valleys, formed by river Briese. The quiet nature preservation area is home to mischievous beavers whose dams created a sunken birch forest. The valley is still dominated by unspoilt nature, seemingly untouched by humans. It's only a 40 minute train ride north of Berlin, making it the perfect day trip getaway from the city's hustling.
Following the meandering river we traverse the mystical forest, walk on wooden planks through moors and marshes and explore natural habitats and endemic wildlife. On this hike, immerse yourself into natureās wonder! Have you ever observed the tiny details of the outdoors? Such as the intricate veins on the back of a leaf? Or the delicate edges of flowersā petals? Or the movement of a cheeky squirrel?
On this walk, you will have the chance to truly connect with the natural world around you.
No experience or preparation is needed, just your curiosity. You will be guided through every step of the way.

10K Three Parks Run - Come for the Run, Stay for the Goats!
\*\*The run with the highest goat count in Berlin!!\*\*
In Berlin for the Easter weekend? Join us for a run!
Enjoy the virtually traffic free route, and take time out to commune with the goats and lop-eared rabbits at two mini zoos we pass on the way. Your weekend is guaranteed to start right!
Stretch your legs on Saturday morning with the three parks run in the north of Berlin. We meet on BrunnenstraĆe across the street from Gesundbrunnen Bhf at the edge of Volkspark Humboldthain, see the map pin!
From there we run towards Mauerpark, then towards Pankow along the Mauerweg. Then through Bürgerpark Pankow and back along the Panke towards Volkspark Humboldthain. The route takes about an hour, depending on our pace
Highlights:
\- Volkspark Humboldthain steps to the top of Flakturm
\- Mauerpark grafiti wall \- option for a short uphill\, or you can stay on the flat
\- Mauerweg
\- Goats and rabbits at the Mauerpark mini zoo
\- Trail running
\- Bürgerpark Pankow
\- Saying hi to the goats in the park :\)
\- Panke \(river\)
\- Only 1 traffic light \(to cross Osloerstr\.\)
We have some options to do and usually do some altitude, i.e. stairs, in the Humboldthain park and "hill" in Mauerpark! :)
We have a few variations of the route that we sometimes do to keep things interesting, they add up to the same distance.
Our pace is typically \~5.45 min/km, but we'll wait for everyone!
Feel free to bring friends!
There is also the option to finish up at Flying Roasters on HochstraĆe for a coffee afterwards!

**WHY GO?**
Berlin is often thought of as a flat city, but Grunewald hides a surprising landscape of wooded hills and sweeping viewpoints.
This hike follows sandy woodland trails and quiet paths along the Havel River, gradually climbing through the forest to reach some of Berlinās best vantage points. Weāll climb the steps of the historic Grunewaldturm before stopping for a relaxed break at Kaisergarten am Grunewaldturm, a traditional beer garden overlooking the river.

Itās a chance to leave the busy streets behind, enjoy some fresh forest air, and spend the day exploring one of Berlinās most beautiful landscapes with a group of curious explorers.
**WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS?**
**Grunewald:** Berlinās largest forest, filled with sandy trails, glacial hills, and quiet lakes. A favourite escape for those looking for nature just outside the city.
**Havel River:** One of the major rivers of the Berlin-Brandenburg region. Here the river widens into large lakes and peaceful bays surrounded by forest.
**Grunewaldturm:** Built in 1899, this historic observation tower rises above the forest overlooking the Havel. Climb the steps to enjoy wide views over the lakes, woodland, and the distant Berlin skyline.
**Kaisergarten am Grunewaldturm:** A classic German beer garden beside the tower. With views across the river, itās the perfect place for a relaxed break, a drink, or a snack.
**Drachenberg:** One of Berlinās best viewpoints. From the top youāll see a sweeping panorama across the Grunewald, Teufelsberg, and the Berlin skyline. Weāll aim to reach the summit in the early evening, with the chance of catching sunset ā a memorable way to finish the hike.
