After a lovely first Poetry in the Park gathering in Bürgerpark Pankow, we’re bringing the idea into a second round — this time with a photographic twist. Join us for a spring afternoon around Schloss Charlottenburg where photography and poetry meet. Bring a poem you love — or one you wrote — and we’ll begin by reading a few poems together. Then we’ll set out for a gentle 30 minute photo walk through the park, capturing details that catch our attention: blossoms, reflections, statues, hidden corners, fleeting scenes. Using the images we gather as inspiration, we’ll meet again on picnic blankets to write short poems from guided prompts and share them in an informal circle. No photography skills needed. No poetry experience required. Just curiosity, observation, and a bit of spring magic. Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. The usual agenda: - Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes) - ⁠Silent reading (~1 hour) - ⁠Discussion (~30-40 minutes) - ⁠Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like! (Well at least they are in my neighborhood) I like to watch dogs walking, squirrels climbing trees, crows fighting on the street. 😂 I also went on a trip a few weeks ago and took a photo of a funny swan. So this time, we draw not only our beloved pets, but also our neighbors who live around us 💃🕺 Please bring your photos (ideally taken by you ) and materials☺️. We will draw and share our stories behind of the drawing while sipping coffees, eating cakes and chit chatting. This Sunday's hike starts in Stücken, a village near the Nuthe-Nieplitz nature reserve. It features a bird-watching watchtower and maybe a stork in the village of Körzin who has been living there for several years. Next comes a long stretch along the shore of the Nieplitz river into the town of Beelitz, where you can try its famous asparagus in a restaurant before taking the train back to Berlin. Meet us in the **first car of the train RE7**, departing from **Alexanderplatz station at 12:08 on platform 2 (direction Dessau),** **arriving at Michendorf (Mark) at 12:50, then taking the Bus 608 at 13:01 to Stücken (Dorf)** Unless you are subscribed to the Deutschlandticket, you'll need to buy a ticket to Stücken (Dorf). This event is a fun and beginner-friendly introduction to the world of sourdough alongside a delicious sourdough tasting.
