Have you ever seen a comedian before and thought you yourself, "Boy, oh boy, I'd sure love to give that guy a piece of my mind!" or, "Gee-whizz that was not bad at all!" or "Fuck this person." well then **this is the show for you!** **Sometimes People Are Shit is a show where comedians try out seven minutes of new material that nobody has ever heard before**. Maybe. That I can't quite guarantee but once their sets are over you, the people, get to give your feedback to the comedian. It could be good, it could be bad, but it will always be constructive! **Show starts at 22.00 sharp**. This is a **shuffle** class for **beginner** and **intermediate** shufflers where we'll be working on improving your basic steps like **running man**, **t-step**, and **kicks**. **Beginners** will get the chance to learn/practise the basic shuffle steps. **Intermediate** learners will learn to vary their steps with additional arm and body movements. **What you need to bring with you:** **Shoes**: If you'd prefer not to shuffle in socks, please bring a pair of dedicated clean athletic shoes with white soles. **Water**: because Shuffling is like an intense cardio workout :) **Fee**: 10€ (in cash or paypal **after** the event) to cover the cost of the rent, because we're not doing it for profit. After a lovely first Poetry in the Park gathering in Bürgerpark Pankow, we’re bringing the idea into a second round — this time with a photographic twist. Join us for a spring afternoon around Schloss Charlottenburg where photography and poetry meet. Bring a poem you love — or one you wrote — and we’ll begin by reading a few poems together. Then we’ll set out for a gentle 30 minute photo walk through the park, capturing details that catch our attention: blossoms, reflections, statues, hidden corners, fleeting scenes. Using the images we gather as inspiration, we’ll meet again on picnic blankets to write short poems from guided prompts and share them in an informal circle. No photography skills needed. No poetry experience required. Just curiosity, observation, and a bit of spring magic. Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. The usual agenda: - Arrival and introduction (~20 minutes) - ⁠Silent reading (~1 hour) - ⁠Discussion (~30-40 minutes) - ⁠Join us for a bite at a local restaurant afterwards, if you like! You may read in any language, you may read any book. We are a group of international residents of Berlin from many different countries, of all ages, and we converse in English. We welcome you!
