Surrounded by lovely scenery of the Český kras, we are going to enjoy two runnable weirs, swimming in the river and a well-deserved refreshment at the Řevnice Brewery! *You can join even if you haven’t canoed before as long as you can swim. You should also be somewhat physically coordinated and have patience to learn a new motor skill!* I’m **not** a certified instructor however, I have taught countless people the basics of canoeing. LOGISTICS We will meet on Saturday 6th of June at **8:50** in front of the main ticket office at the Prague Main Railway Station. We’ll be aiming to be back in Prague by **18:30**. However, we will be as fast as the slowest members of our group and an unexpected delay is possible. This is a **full-day event.** WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU • Shoes to wear in water (sandals, or you can buy special shoes for walking in water) • Wear clothes which dry fast (NOT jeans) • Sunscreen • Towel and maybe some spare clothes (in case your canoe capsizes) • Swimwear • Bottle of water and a small snack. • Put all your staff to a small compact bag – we will put all our belongings into water-proof barrels and they are not very large. You need to be prepared for a possibility of the boat flipping (capsizing). Something New is excited to collaborate again with Averil Huck from Prague Feminist Tours! Our "WALK & TALK" event comes back for a 2nd edition where you will learn while meeting like-minded people! Join Averil Huck from Feminist Tours for a guided tour to remember nine women who are resting in power in Prague's largest graveyard: Olšany Cemeteries. What to expext from the tour? A 1.5h walk in Prague's largest graveyard, Olšany Cemeteries, to honour the memories of 9 remarkable and lesser-known women laid to rest there. Among them are pioneers of Czech women’s emancipation, like Karolína Světlá & Eliška Krásnohorská, fascinating figures like the “Czech Coco Chanel” or Anna Náprstková, a successful entrepreneur. I'll also tell you the poignant story of a mother, Libuše Palachová, who fought to preserve her son’s memory, Jan Palach, after his tragic self-immolation in protest of the 1968 Soviet invasion. We’ll also make sure that participants get a chance to speak one on one as we’ll incorporate some speed friending into the tour. Usually we run around 50mins and it is up to everyone how many kilometres. We welcome all levels of runner. We can all run together or, if there is more of us, we can split into groups and at the end of the run we all meet close to the starting point to go for a coffee to a nice local coffee place (where they also sell cakes and great chocolate). If the weather is great, we can also just sit in one of the outside coffee placces in Stromovka and enjoy the sun. About 90% of people roll No-Gi. If you want to bring your Gi, make sure to reach out to someone to coordinate before you arrive. ✅ **No experience needed** → Ask someone to show you around. Let's play badminton at Sports Centre Olšanka. We'll meet at 10.40 and play for 60 minutes. If you have a Multisport card please bring it along, as it will make the court free for you and also reduce the cost for others. If you don't have a Multisport card the game will cost you a maximum of 150 crowns, probably much less. I will cover the cost of the court so please bring cash to pay me. There is a small organisation fee of 20 crowns for all players to participate in this event. Racquets can be rented for 50 crowns.

**Galaksia Praha 23** is holding **free trials** to **join** their **basketball teams** for the 2026/2027 season. Galaksia's Basketball teams are se to be competing in Pražský basketbalový svaz leagues, Prague section of the Czech Basketball Federation. These trials are completely free, just join the Meetup event and show up on the field at that date/time. The trials are starting at 7:30pm, but be sure to be there earlier, at 7:15pm, so you can get ready, and we also can get your information prior to the trials to get started.
