* Sure, you might have to wait a little until a new game is started though.
"It's my first time and I'm unsure what to do / everyone seems to be playing already..."
* Seek us out (ask somebody to help you find an organizer or ask by name for Andi, Elli, Angelika, Hannes, Malte, Aaron, Will, or Abhi) and we'll give you a little introductory tour. :)

Find the Essential Story of Your Family Tree! (First Steps in Metagenealogy)
Please join us at New Pages to take your first steps in discovering the essential story of your family tree.
Using the book *Metagenealogy: Self-Discovery through Psychomagic and the Family Tree* (Jodorowsky and Costa) as a guiding text, the hosts will help you put together the initial draft of your family tree so that you might learn the essential story you tell and live out in your life. You will then learn the next steps you should take to more fully fill out this story and to make the family tree your ally rather than your enemy.
Metageneaology seeks to combine art and science in order to help people create for themselves a meaningful life.
Why is this important? We all are in the process of living out some type of story we tell ourselves. Often, this story isn't something we created completely on our own, but is passed down to us via the family tree. It is important that we not only become aware of this story, but that we feel i*n control of it* rather than *being* *controlled by it*.
Please join us for the first ever session in this work that we have found immensely help for our own selves.
A note: please complete no preparatory work on your tree before the event. You need only bring yourself and perhaps your favorite pen.
Attendance is limited to 9 people to allow for adequate time to focus on the discovery and building of each person's tree. Please, if you RSVP and then change your mind, change your status so that another person might be able to join.
*The event is free, but a modest donation helps us continue to offer events in the future.*
There Must Be a Lilac: EventStorming with Alberto Brandolini
He's back! The inventor of EventStorming is once again joining the Berlin Collaborative Modeling Meetup for an evening of massive learning, massive laughter, and no doubt a massive number of sticky notes.
Here is the agenda:
**Collaborative Reverse Roadmapping**
We'll put future events on a timeline to build the future we want to happen and make it tactically sound. We'll leverage ideas from
* EventStorming (surprise!)
* Futurespective
* Traditional planning
And we'll explore a tool that will enable strategic planning and overcome deadlocks.
This is a rare opportunity to spend time with a true thought leader in the DDD community and the person who contributed to the world the whole premise of our meetup. He's full of insights and stories, wit and wisdom, and we are lucky to have him drop by to share them with us. Don't miss this one!
**Please do not RSVP if you do not intend to come. For this event only, we have to limit attendance.**
As always, everyone is welcome. You don't need to be a software engineer to participate. In fact, it would be great to have more people who aren't software engineers. We're here to solve problems cross-functionally, not get into implementation details. As long as you care passionately about getting things right, then you belong here!
This is a hands-on workshop. Be prepared to participate fully and add to the energy of the room. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Checkmate & Chill

Newcomers can take advantage of a friendly crash course to get started, while experienced players share strategies, discuss best practices, and even explore quirky variants like Duck Chess or Bughouse. Boards, sets, and clocks are provided, with time controls up to 10 minutes per player for a rapid, engaging experience.
It’s the perfect way to unplug, detox from screens, and connect with a diverse, kind-hearted community of chess lovers. The gathering welcomes all levels and backgrounds, creating a vibrant, family-friendly space where everyone can enjoy the game and forge real connections.

Act Easy
**This event can be different from anything you have experienced before - if you're willing to jump in.**
This is something vivid, something challenging, something new: spontaneous, creative, fun, goofy, because we blend theatre with real-life interactions.
Together, we improvise scenes and playful actions in public places, such as cafes, bars, public transport, and more. While acting out, the public becomes the audience — without even knowing it.
We start easy and become more creative and a little crazier over time.
You might change your life tonight.
Group size: 6–8 people.
English and German are both welcome. No acting experience required.
They don't accept credit cards in the Dachkammer. So cash is needed.

Lazy Saturday Liar Games
Saturday afternoons are perfect to play some lazy liar games, if you have nothing better to do.
We are a group of friendly people who will teach you how to play these easy social deduction games . Amazing way to meet new people and have some good company during weekend.
**IMPORTANT**
It's relaxed playing, nothing for ambitious gamers or people who take it too serious.
Waiting list policy:
When spots open up, we try to bring in a good mix — some regulars we can count on and some new faces to keep things fresh. That means not everyone will get picked every time, but don’t take it the wrong way — it’s just about balance. There’ll always be more chances to join!

**How to Play (Quick Guide):**
* **Setup:** Build the island with hex tiles, place number tokens, roads, settlements, and give each player starting resources.
* **Turn order:** On your turn, roll two dice to produce resources, then trade and build.
* **Resource production:** Players gain resources (wood, brick, sheep, wheat, ore) from tiles next to their settlements/cities when the tile’s number is rolled.
* **Robber:** If a 7 is rolled, players with too many cards discard half; move the robber to block a tile and steal a card.
*NOTE: Friendly robber rule: We play with the friendly robber rule, which means that the robber cannot be placed on a player with less than 3 points.*
* **Trading:** Trade resources with other players or with the bank (usually 4:1, better with ports).
* **Building:** Spend resources to build roads, settlements, cities, or buy development cards.
* **Victory points:** Earn points from settlements, cities, development cards, Longest Road, and Largest Army.
* **Winning:** The first player to reach 10 victory points on their turn wins.
* 2-Hours-Max: If no one reaches 10 points by the end of the second hour, the player with the most points wins. This keeps our game capped at **two hours**. ⏰️
***
**Our Game Set-Up & Attendance Policy:**
1. We will have two CATAN sets available for up to six players each, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Since each game takes a considerable amount of time, arriving after a game has already started may make it difficult to place you at a table.
3. In such cases, you may need to place your first two settlements on the remaining available parts of the map—if space allows.
4. Please make sure to update your RSVP in advance. Failure to do so may cause unnecessary delays for everyone at the start.
5. Not showing up without notice will result in being blacklisted for at least one future meetup.

Blood on the Clocktower (Social Deduction)
Forge alliances, lay false trails, spin lies and expose them – welcome to the Social Deduction Night at Irrlicht!
7pm til late =)

Blood on the Clocktower at BRLO Brwhaus!! (beginner/intermediate)
Hi folks, this is the special meetup group for the weekly Sunday Blood on the Clocktower games in at BRLO Brwhaus in Berlin. We run beginner-friendly and intermediate-level games throughout the afternoon and evening. **Friendly newcomers of all skill levels are welcome, no experience required!**
Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”.
We are usually able to offer two simultaneous games on Sundays. If you are marked as "attending" in Meetup and are in your seat at 15:00, your place is guaranteed for as long as you want to stay. All other seats are first come, first served. We always run at least one beginner-friendly game of the basic version of Clocktower ("Trouble Brewing") throughout the afternoon and evening. We also usually have enough players for a second intermediate-level game. If you are already very familiar with Clocktower, consider also joining our Tuesday meetup for advanced players, when we play with complex custom scripts and characters.
Blood on the Clocktower is a deep, mechanical game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception… think Werewolf on steroids. Each player receives a unique secret role and plays either for the good team – the uninformed majority, gathering info and working with others to solve the puzzle – or the evil team, the informed minority, scheming to eliminate good players and protect their demon from execution. In our beginner games no prior experience is expected and we will gladly explain the game rules to any newcomers.
We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a “Revolutionary” pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case.
