Café Philo Copenhagen
Café Philo Copenhagen
We meet on Saturdays late mornings to have a casual, meaningful conversation on topics of interest to everyone chosen on the spot by majority voting. So please feel free to propose your own topic! Everyone is welcome to talk, but if you prefer to just join and listen, that is perfect too. As the contacted cafés usually only give reservations to eating guests, it is very welcome if you order something to eat during our stay. This is however not mandatory. This event is in English. The exact place can still change.
Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.

Let's meet and talk books
Let's meet and talk books
Hi everyone! Let's gather and share our reading. As usual, we will meet at the fourth floor of the Central Library as it has good facilities for book clubs and it is also free to use. No extra cafe money to spend. Idea is to meet and connect over books. Each participant present 1-2 books they would like to recommend or just talk about, and then we'll see where conversation leads us. Again, there is no limitation to genre or type of book you are reading. The point is that we are free to read whatever we want and then share those reading experiences, so remember to be respectful to each other. I hope to see as many of you as possible. :)

Call to artists via @coupee_collage_collective https://www.instagram.com/coupee_collage_collective?igsh=MTJqNGF6Mmg2Y2NwZA== https://www.instagram.com/p/DVlKbxdjP_i/?igsh=MXRoMjdtMDF6MnFnOQ== The meetup lasts 2 full hours with optional overtime Before starting, you can find our table and leave your things so Lou can grab a drink at the café. Once we are all seated, we introduce ourselves and start cutting and pasting.
 • 1s hour- the first round of collage is called freestyle to help us warm up. No restrictions, start finding images to cut out and paste.
 • 2nd hour - for the second round, someone proposes some simple "trigger instructions".
In the end, we show our collages and appreciate the diversity of styles.
 • After the session, we have the option to extend it a bit to get a drink or some food we can bring or order food so we can hang out a bit more. (Mellemrummet is very relaxing regarding bringing your own food from home or other venues; there is a poke place right in front.) Everyone is free to do fewer or more collages as wished, the triggers and frameworks are only a reference. We dedicate some time to appreciating techniques, shapes, colours, and textures to learn and get inspired by each other. Alongside, we chat and relax.
These sessions are not a class but rather a community gathering. We try to nurture a friendly atmosphere and take care of each other. --
Logistics:
• Bring your tools - paper, scrapbook, scissors, cutter, glue, tape, magazines, books, etc. Have it at your side on the day.
• Buy your favourite drink and introduce yourself to the rest of the people, we are kind of an international mix of all ages.

Big Scientific Questions 2026. Quantum Reality, Free Will, Consciousness + MORE!
Big Scientific Questions 2026. Quantum Reality, Free Will, Consciousness + MORE!
**“Scientific Questions 2026 (!) — Free Will, Quantum Reality, and What We Still Don’t Know”** Mind, Matter, Uncertainty, and the Limits of Explanation Despite all our progress, some of the most fundamental questions remain wide open. As science advances in neuroscience, physics, and AI, old mysteries return in sharper form: Are we truly free? What is reality at the quantum level? And are there limits to what science can ever explain? This isn’t a popular science lecture or a math-heavy session. It’s a philosophical exploration of science at its edges—where evidence runs thin and interpretation matters. *** **Topics we’ll touch on:** * Free will: illusion, emergence, or something real? * Neuroscience and determinism: are “choices” made before we know them? * Quantum interpretations: many worlds, collapse, hidden variables, or something stranger? * Does quantum uncertainty leave room for freedom—or change nothing? * Can science explain consciousness—or just correlate it? * Are there questions science cannot answer in principle? * And finally… how should we live if reality is stranger—and less certain—than we thought? Casual discussion. No physics or neuroscience background required—just curiosity and a tolerance for uncertainty. Whether you lean deterministic, mystical, skeptical, or undecided—you’re not alone. Let’s explore the unanswered questions—and what they mean for how we understand ourselves.
Comfort Food Potluck Picnic in the Park!
Comfort Food Potluck Picnic in the Park!
It's time for yet another pot luck picnic in Fælledparken! Prepare a dish that you consider YOUR comfort food. A dish that you love to eat (and prepare), or something that has some personal value for you, whether it's because of a childhood memory, or a dish that reminds you of [home, or](http://home....or/) just something that you would love to share and introduce to others! If you don't feel inspired to prepare anything, you're still invited to attend, and geek out chatting together with other foodies! We'll be meeting at some benches in Fælledparken (depending where we can find space for all of us). There are usually some available benches close to the entrance from the Stadium. If it happens to rain, we will have to cancel the event, and find another date in the near future. If you do feel like taking a dish with you, or just want to join, please sign up, and keep updated by following the comments within the meetup event, so we can figure out who is bringing what. It's nice to have a bit of something for everyone, if you follow a specific diet. So keep updated in the message feed within the event! WHAT TO BRING: 1\. Your own beverages\. \(Otherwise the Pavillion Cafe in the park also has drinks for sale\)\. 2\. Your own Plates\, napkins\, glasses\, silverware etc\. Aside from the benches (which we hopefully can find), everyone is also welcome to bring a blanket just in case.... Hope to see some new and old faces!

Columbus Arduino Raspberry Pi Enthusiasts (CARPE) (Check Location)
Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration! This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability. This session will be at the Worthington Park Library in the Olentangy Meeting Room.
