Kid-friendly show! SÉNECA, RATÓN DE BIBLIOTECA (The Library Mouse)
Kid-friendly show! SÉNECA, RATÓN DE BIBLIOTECA (The Library Mouse)
Treat your children to GALita’s ***Séneca, ratón de biblioteca (Séneca, The Library Mouse)***, a bilingual play by Chilean playwright Jorge Díaz with original music by Iván Navas. Directed by Elena Velasco, this fun-filled play touches on the importance of reading and respecting differences, and runs March 14 through March 28, 2026. When a brainy library mouse meets a swaggering crew of street mice, sparks fly and stories take off—spilling from the shelves into a world of comic chases and big laughs. Along the way, unlikely friendships form and lessons unfold about listening, learning, and belonging. Brought to life through imaginative puppets and original music, ***Séneca, The Library Mouse*** invites young audiences to celebrate difference, delight in the joy of books, and discover confidence and pride in who they are—proving that brains, creativity, and curiosity can be just as powerful as bravado. **PERFORMANCES:** Weekdays from March 16-20 and March 23-27 at 10:30 am, and Saturday, March 14, 21, and 28 at 3 pm. This family show is about 60 minutes long and suitable for ages 5 and up! **TICKETS:** General admission tickets are $10 children and $12 adults. **[GET TICKETS HERE](https://ci.ovationtix.com/35923/production/1245619)** **CAST:** Daniela Lock as Séneca, Delbis Cardona as Rafael, Ramón, and Raúl, Máximo Cáceres as Benigno (Dog), Rachael Small as Bellaco (Cat), and H. Christian Aguilar as Ensemble/Understudy. **CREATIVE TEAM:** Scenic Design is by Gisela Estrada with Lighting Design by Luis García, and Costume Design by Rukiya Henry-Fields. Iván Navas is Composer, Angélica Huertas is Sound Designer, and Properties Design is by Isabel deCarvalho. Solis Pettitt is Stage Manager and Sherry González is Assistant Stage Manager. Corgis @ the Bloom - Cherry Blossoms 2026
Corgis @ the Bloom - Cherry Blossoms 2026
This weekend is peak blossom. TIME IS TIME TO REACH THE JEFFERSON BASED ON WHEN AND WHERE YOU FIND PARKING. We will gather at the Jefferson Memorial at 11:30 am. From the memorial we will keep our traditional path if allowed all the way to the MLK starting around noon. Keep in mind parking and traffic can be a nightmare so we will try to go on the weekend the weather forecast looks best. I am tentatively putting it the same weekend as the 10 Miler since parking turns over as soon as the race ends. Please see cherry blossom festival info https://nationalcherryblossomfestival.org to find maps and event schedules. There are options to buy parking ahead of time so please do so if you aren't willing to walk a good distance from the day of available spots! \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Notes to Capital Corgi Folks \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Normal public dog gathering rules apply (puppies must be older than 16 weeks and fully vaccinated, no dogs in heat, no aggressive dogs). Please remember this is a public event in a public place and we cannot control how popular this time and place will be. Please encourage children to ask for permission first to pet and don't be upset if someone declines to let your kids pet. Use common sense. Bring non-retractable leashes and lots of poop bags/water as there are not a lot of facilities and the ones available will be crowded with lines to enter once you get out onto the Tidal Basin. RSVP the number of CORGIS attending here on either Meetup Ap or Facebook group event page to avoid double counting.

PawsUP for David and Brick for originally suggesting this awesome meetup and our dogs love it! -Dumbarton Oaks/Montrose Park in Georgetown -Meet at the entrance off of R st, on the East side (closer to the cemetery) -Plenty of street parking in the area -Bring water and a ball for your Aussie This park is a very large open field, that is very dog friendly. Tons of space to run and chase. Most if not all dogs are off leash. Occasional runners and kids (there is a playground), so keep that in mind. There is also a trail inside with a stream that the dogs love to play in.

Run and Get Dirty! Adult Dogs in the main park, puppies in the small dog park
Our regular Sunday meetup at the Shirlington Dog Park -- members start arriving around 10:15 a.m. You'll always find an Aussie to play with. There are 3 entrances, so wander the park -- the dogs will find each other! For puppies, Shirlington has a small dog park within the larger dog park. It's the prefect place for your puppy to gain confidence and socialize with others. There is also plenty of room to run. Just a reminder, the Dog Park is under attack by the Arlington County Board of Commissioners. While early plans to decrease the size of the park by 50% has been tabled, it's important to remind Arlington County how important this park is to dogs and owners.
