(if we're quick, that is) 𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮❜𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧: • Settings and technique • How to process your photos in standard software (eg Lightroom) • Advanced software options to increase image quality • Hands-on experience with super telephoto photography 𝐘𝐨𝐮❜𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝: 1. **A minimum focal length of 300mm, but preferably 500mm (full frame equivalent). If you are full frame with a 200-500mm, 150-600mm, or have a cropped-sensor camera with 300mm+, those are ideal.** 2. A tripod (preferably sturdy) 3. A wired/remote trigger (preferred) to minimise camera shake or be able to set a 5-10 second shutter delay on your camera. 4. To be able to turn off autofocus on your camera/lens. Regarding focal length. The above shot was at 700mm, but not cropped in at all. If your camera has \~20MP or greater, you should be able to crop in with \~300mm to get a similar shot. I'll have some equipment to share to help those who need it. Please ask if required before booking. We have a life model in a **single pose for three hours**. Usually **the same pose is repeated the following week so that you can give six hours to your work,** remember to book the same position for both weeks. Our studio is purpose built and well equipped with easels, drawing boards, clips and so on. We sell materials at reasonable prices so if you forget anything we should be able to help you out. We have professional lighting for the models and and full spectrum lights for the studio to give you a good experience. We break for 5 minutes for the model every 25 minutes and then for twenty minutes at 11.30am to have a cup of coffee and a biscuit (small charge). Our studio has a light and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, come and paint with us! The Barbican Centre is a symbol of brutalist architecture. Sharp edges, concrete, light and shadow, columns and blocky shapes: it’s a place rife with opportunities for our keen eyes and blazing cameras! This maze of shapes and lines is where we will be continuing our journey towards street photography excellence. It isn't the place for complex, layered crowds. Instead, we will focus on a slower, more intentional pace—seeking out the shapes, lines, and patterns where we can purposefully place a human element to create a striking image. Open to all skill levels. Whether you shoot on a smartphone or a high-end camera, this workshop is about elevating your craft and learning to capture better, more intentional images. For those who have joined me before, I look forward to continuing our journey. We’ll be building directly on the skills you’ve already practiced, adding this new 'intentional' element to your toolkit to create even more compelling street scenes.
