My approach is allowing one-on-one time with the model in a small group with a laissez-faire style, not intruding on the creative process or micromanaging. I want to be helpful without choking your creativity. People with different experience levels mix in the group, so I will ask how I can help, where you are at in your photography and if there is anything you wish to improve or if there is anything you like to try. Perhaps you just want to get your camera out, get confidence, practice and shoot, and that's fine too! If you want to test or learn something, I will help you; if you need advice, I will help you too, and if you just want to shoot and have a good time, that's great too! There are some stylish props, in particular chairs and a sofa on concrete floors. You are welcome to bring your own lights and props if you wish. We will assist each other, making it a great day to try and test. Suitable for beginners and experienced photographers. Shoot for practice, fun or your portfolio. Any advice or help that you need please just ask on the day. We will shoot in a small group of approx 4 in turns and helping each other. Film cameras and video recording are welcome. You are responsible for your own person and belongings. Tickets are non transferable and non refundable except in case of event cancellation, please double check your schedule before signing up. When shooting with a model strictly no physical contact with the model, you can instruct verbally or demonstrate asking to mirror your movement or position...Please keep comments tasteful. The booked model could be changed if the original model could not attend for any reason. The stated number of attendeed is a target rarely missed, most often could be lower if bookings are low or in rare occassions higher due to the different booking platforms not synchonising, arrangements will be made if it is deemend by the organiser to significantly impact the smooth running of the workshop. **Usage**: as the photographer you have the copyright, models sign a model release form that allows the photographers in the workshop to use the photos for personal, portfolio, social media, art, competitions, magazines... **Not allowed usage** : stock photography, associated with third party brands, demeaning and deep fake including adult content. You can take a screen shot of the release free of charge on the day of the shoot, if you need a copy afterwards there is a £10 admin fee. Occasionally you might be recorded in behind the scenes videos, like the instagram stories that we post or the like with an effort to preserve your privacy but if you mind it just make it known by sending me a direct message and you wont appear in any recording.

Join us on an amazing day to photograph **the world's most iconic prehistoric monument, Stonehenge**, at golden hour & sunset! We'll spend several hours on site, making the most of what nature has to offer as the light changes. We'll be shooting from the north and east aspects of Stonehenge, which is the most attractive side and also perfect in winter as the sun sets in a south-westerly direction, thus giving us our best chances of colour in the sky! **Please note:** **Entry into Stonehenge itself isn't included** (as not all participants wish to go in for closer shots). For those wishing to, the entry price is currently around £25, and you can book online through English Heritage (our ETA at Stonehenge is 1:30 PM). Message me if you require more details. Situated on the Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, the early henge was built around 5,000 years ago & the unique stone circle was erected in the late Neolithic period, \~ 2,500 BC, with final modifications estimated to have been made around 1,500 BC. Stonehenge consists of an outer circle of 30 standing stones called "sarsens", which surround five huge stone arches in a horseshoe shape. There were also two circles made of smaller "bluestones" – one inside the outer circle & one inside the horseshoe – as well as four "station stones" positioned outside the central monument. Don't have a telephoto lens & want to take some close-up pics like the sample shots? We've got you covered, as we'll have multiple camera setups and lenses available to borrow if requested (please let me know when booking). Just make sure you bring a spare blank SD card. **Recommended equipment:** * Walk around/kit lens (eg 18-55mm, 24-70mm, 18-105mm) * Zoom lens – Recommended for close-ups on stones (eg 70-200mm, 70-300mm) * Note – The focal length (full frame equivalent) sample images were taken between 35mm (long exposure shot), 70mm (all of Stonehenge), and 200mm (close-up of the stones). * For those paying the extra for entry, a wide-angle lens is highly recommended. ie 16-35mm, 18-55mm, etc. * Tripod – Recommended. * Shutter trigger (wired (preferred), wireless/phone) – recommended for long exposures above 30 seconds for most cameras. * ND Filters – optional (for any long exposures) **Included:** * Travel to and from central London (from Starbucks, Unit 1A Euston Tower, NW1 3DP), in our comfortable 8-seat vehicle * Photographic tuition * Camera and lens setups to borrow if required (bring a spare, blank SD card) * Battery charging facilities if required (bring your USB or wall plug charger) **Not included:** Food and drink (tearoom & facilities available at Stonehenge on arrival) Entrance within Stonehenge (we'll be photographing from the boundary at sunset as public access within the grounds closes) **Important Note:** Please dress for the weather (*and then bring extra!*). Join us at the beautiful Horniman Museum and Gardens in Forest Hill. It is an inspiring location, the grounds, the museum and of course the butterfly house where you can get up close to hundreds of butterflies in the tropical indoor garden. We'll be practicing macro photography shooting butterflies and afterwards we'll wonder the grounds where there are flowers and wildlife subjects. We can take advantage of the grounds, a museum and everything this amazing location has to offer. Accessible-format life drawing and portrait session with a range of poses from 2 minute tutor-led warm up exercises to 15 mins in the first half of the class with general tips and tuition. In the second half, a long portrait pose of 35-40 mins with a demo/draw-along led by tutor Rod who will show and talk through the process of drawing a portrait in front of the class.
