In this workshop we will be exploring the projection of images on the human body to create spectacular images. We will be working with a model and learn about different projection techniques Who is it for --- Photographers with an interest in artful studio photography. Prior studio experience is not required. What to bring --- DSLR or MLC with a 50mm or equivalent lens A tripod - most of the images we'll be shooting will be at low shutterspeed, so a tripod is necessary Some drinks and snacks to keep you powered-up A USB stick with 10 images you would like to project. I have a library with 100 patterns we can use as well. No-Shows --- Since we are incurring expenses to organize this workshop, we expect that people who register actually show-up. Since there have been some problems with this in the past we have had to start a "two strikes and you're out" for no-shows. So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels.
