🗣️ **Talks**
**➡️ From One App to Many: Scaling Frontend with Domain‑Driven Architecture - [Natalia Dmitrieva](https://www.linkedin.com/in/natalia-dmitrieva-652307124/)**
*How we transformed a React monolith into multiple apps inside one codebase.*
*You always start small: one product, one team, one stakeholder. But once you succeed and need to scale, your original frontend architecture might not be ready for what comes next. As our Sales Process Orchestration Platform expanded to support multiple products and sales channels, our original monolithic application became a bottleneck.*
*In this talk, I'll share how we transitioned to a domain‑driven, multi‑app architecture while deliberately keeping a single React codebase. You'll see how we applied Domain‑Driven Design concepts on the frontend, structured clear boundaries between sales channels, and used Nx to orchestrate builds, enforce architecture rules, and keep teams moving independently without losing shared foundations.*
**➡️ React Native in 2026: Not Your Daddy’s React Native - [Conor Lamb](https://www.linkedin.com/in/conorobrienlamb/)**
*React Native has changed a bunch, and if you haven't looked at it lately you're in for some fun. We'll walk through building a real app with (my beloved 😍) Expo. Talk about project setup to app store submission with detours into AI-assisted development and ofc, talk about the casual masochism that is mobile dev.*
**➡️ The Fourth Platform: How Vega Got Us Surprisingly Close to "Write Once, Run Everywhere" - [Bogdan Plieshka](http://linkedin.com/in/gotbahn/?skipRedirect=true)**
*"Write once, run everywhere" is a promising goal in software development, but one that often breaks down under real-world problems. At Zattoo, building streaming applications across Android, Apple, and Web meant years of separate native stacks that were not aligned, and therefore did not scale. This talk explains how moving to a multiplatform architecture, enabled by Vega as a fourth (React Native first platform), brought us very close to achieving that goal.*

Rethinking Java for Accelerators: A Toy MLIR/TOSA Compiler with Bruno Caballero
In May, [Bruno Caballero](https://github.com/bruno-ah-um) will show us how to target hardware accelerators from Java with MLIR based on [his fork of the OpenJDK Project Babylon](https://github.com/bruno-ah-um/openjdk-babylon-mlir-tosa).
Bruno leads the Java Virtual Machines Engineering team at [MicroDoc](http://www.microdoc.com), which develops JVMs and maintains ports across various processors and operating systems.
In this talk, we’ll explore a toy project that translates Java code into MLIR for the TOSA dialect, which is used for AI and accelerator workloads. We’ll briefly introduce current approaches (e.g., TornadoVM and Babylon/HAT), before looking at how this project reuses existing compiler infrastructure instead of building new backends. Finally, we’ll touch on whether DSLs should be embedded in general-purpose languages like Java or designed as standalone languages.
Small snacks and drinks will be available. There is always space for outside topics and discussions. If you have specific questions, please bring them. Looking forward to meeting everyone again!
Soundground: free improvised music workshop
**A place to meet sound, without maps**
Facilitated by **Vesti Gium (they/them)**
Everyone enters as they are.
No score. No threshold of skill.
We follow the room, moment by moment—
listening, nudging, letting the music find itself.
A breath, a shoelace, a laugh, a footstep—
each carries weight.
Silence is welcomed; noise is celebrated.
There are no wrong directions here.
We practise a listening that reaches outward and inward:
to ourselves, to one another, to the space we shape together.
That is where the music begins.

Berlin Tech Leads - The one where AI reshapes Customer Support Engineering
**We’re back!** After a break, the Berlin Tech Leads meetup is officially revived **\- and this time IRL at Berlin Vinted office\.**
**We’ve missed the deep dives, the architectural debates, and the networking. To kick things off, we’re tackling one of the fastest-moving landscapes in the industry right now: the intersection of Engineering and Customer Support.**
**About the Event**
Customer Support is often the first place where AI moves from "experimental" to "mission-critical." For Tech Leads, this shift isn't just about plugging in a basic chatbot; it’s about re-engineering the entire lifecycle of a ticket and how our systems actually interact with our users.
In this meetup, we’re looking under the hood of the support stack. We’ll discuss how the landscape is being reshaped by LLMs, the shift toward autonomous agents, and the real technical hurdles of building multi-modal support systems.
**Talks:**
* [Pau Agustín](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pau-agust%C3%ADn-granell-6420a5139/) & Team Help Experience (vinted.com):
"Scaling Support: How Vinted Manages Tens of Thousands of Tickets Every Day"
* [Yam Marcovitz](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAbVVAwBOgouy-uT1QB1ixhqrafAv1kNxQk) (parlant.io)
"Building consistently aligned agents with Parlant"
* [Richard Lohwasser](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAABRCCmYBD9PS9O73AjQ244LC4Gc_NMUcnsY) (enneo.ai):
"Applying AI across all channels in real-life customer service at scale: What works, what doesn't, and where we're heading to?"
*Just a quick reminder: if you'd like to take the stage and speak at a future Berlin Tech Leads meetup, feel free to drop a message to one of the organisers.*

Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs.
This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing.
