We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Seed Starting Workshop with Licking County Master Gardener Volunteers What: Ready to get a jump on your summer garden? Join us for a hands-on seed starting workshop hosted by the Licking County Master Gardener Volunteers as part of their Gardening Through the Year series. You’ll learn how to start seeds indoors for vegetables and flowers — and get them ready for transplanting when the weather cooperates. Master Gardeners will provide potting soil and expert advice. Main St. | Newark, Ohio Julie Zickefoose: Author, Painter, and Bluebird Extraordinaire Zickefoose is an American nature book writer, naturalist, bird artist, and blogger. She lives in Ohio on an 80-acre wildlife sanctuary, which she said inspires much of her work, including her 2012 novel, The Bluebird Effect: Uncommon Bonds with Common Bird, and NATURAL GARDENING FOR BIRDS The novel is illustrated with 320 of Zickefoose’s colored paintings, life sketches, and drawings, and it was one of Oprah’s 2012 book club reads.
