Sure Pickle Ball is all the rage yet Ping Pong is a unique experience and is safer, however, it's a little more challenging yet easy to learn while meeting new friends. Whether you're a good player or just looking to have a good time, this event is for you! We will team you up with those equal to your skill level from Beginners to Intermediate. We will start with practise for a half hour before team play begins. Remember, we play for fun. You will get in lots of table time with a 3 hour event. I was fortunate enough to have a Ping Pong table in our basement growing up. With 3 other brothers we had some serious rivalries going on. The more you play the better you get. My youngest brother mastered the art of spinning his return shot to make it very difficult on how you played your next return volley. Arrive 10 - 15 minutes before...a chance to meet 'n greet your fellow players while changing into your running / tennis shoes. Otherwise you will not be allowed to play. **Event fee $25** Please bring exact cash This is a 3 hour event. Play begins at 2:30 pm All are welcome regardless of skill level. We can give you tips and advice to better your play. **Awesome first day of summer is here!** Potlucks are full of terrific food & lovely faces - a great opportunity to socialize over deliciousness. Let's celebrate our sunny memories with a Vegan Potluck at Christie Pits Park - located beside Christie subway station. This is your chance to meet other like-minded individuals and be part of a vibrant community! Make sure to bring a *vegan* dish to share, or to eat if you're not into the sharing thing. In order to limit waste, please bring your own reusable plates, water bottle, utensils and serving ware and all will be yum! Bring your picnic blanket(s) and water to stay hydrated if you'd like. Feel free to bring a project to chill with after eating - soccer ball, frisbee, volleyball, board games, cards, a guitar or speaker, your ping pong or crochet set or just your fabulousness! Some rules - *For the new vegans, first timers, or veg curious, please ensure that the food you bring to share be* all \*plant-based, so no honey or dairy/cheese/yogurt/butter/cream etc., and obviously no eggs/fish/poultry/meat or any animal-derived ingredients like food colours or additives. When in doubt, Google is your best friend! A reminder to please label the ingredients you used. Some vegans care about the fact that you may have fried meat in a certain fryer before frying their vegan food in the same oil. Mindfulness and minimalism goes a long way in creating a positive and meaningful experience for all. * All garbage and recyclable items must be thrown out by the end of the party. * The park must be left reasonably clean at the end of the party/event. This group is for badminton enthusiasts who are passionate about exploring the connections between metabolism, energy, and exercise. We are welcome beginner plus, intermediate and advance level players looking to improve your skill or a seasoned player seeking to optimize your performance on the court, this group is for you! Join us for friendly games. This badminton session is a weekly event and it is followed with dinner together but it is optional. ATTENTION: Due to many first timers signed up the event but no show, I have no choice to charge the first timers $10 per person as deposit via etransfer to me no later then Friday night.
