**š Eat, Drink & Dance Melbourne: The PreāValentineās āLastāMinute Love Grabā Party** š
Friday 20 February

**##### !! Update - Moved to Fri 20 Feb**
Melbourne, assemble your charm, your courage, and your most persuasive eyebrow raise ā because Valentineās Day has come and gone, and this is your final chance to secure a date before the city descends into roses, prixāfixe menus, and smug couples holding hands like they invented affection.
Join us at Lustre Bar, where the cocktails sparkle, the lighting forgives, and the mood is set firmly to romantic chaos. This is a night for the bold, the hopeful, the delightfully unhinged, and anyone who refuses to spend Saturday eating supermarket chocolate and tubs of ice cream like a lonely Chewbacca on the couch (again).
**ā ļøExpect**:
* Flirty icebreakers that make āSo what do you do?ā feel like a relic of a more boring civilisation
* Silly miniāgames designed to nudge strangers into becoming āentangled parties of interestā
* A soundtrack calibrated for maximum swoonāpotential
* A room full of people who are also pretending theyāre ājust here for funā
By 10pm, those who have successfully paired, tangled, or otherwise conspired with another human will be invited to continue the adventure as we spill into a dance venue of our choosing. Think of it as the Valentineās Migration: a flock of seagulls abd romanticallyācharged humans moving gracefully (or not) toward a dance floor where destiny, chemistry, and questionable rhythm await.
Whether you leave with a Valentine, a new crush, or simply a great story, youāll be in excellent company.
**Dress code**: Cute, confident, or chaotically optimistic.
**Vibe**: Romantic comedy meets mild social experiment.
**Goal**: Snatch a Valentine before the clock strikes midnight on Cupidās deadline.
Come for the cocktails. Stay for the chemistry. Dance for the glory.

Play 3-Sided Soccer at Albert Park - mixed - social - all levels - all fitness
3 Teams. 3 Goals. Hexagonal Pitch. A game of alliance and betrayal in equal measure.
We are looking for new players and returning players alike to come play a match. Players of any ability, fitness level or background are welcomed - the game is intended to be fun for a Sunday morning rather than super competitive.
If you've never played before, that's okay - the rules are as simple as this:
* There's no offside - roam where you will
* Defend your goal at all costs
* No hands (this is soccer-style football after all)
Come down for 9:00am, we make some balanced teams and warm up for the match starting at 9:15.
Three thirds are played of 25 minutes each so we're usually done by about 11:00am. All fitness and soccer skill levels more than welcome and encouraged!
A note regarding junior players:
We very much enjoy and encourage junior players to come along and play however please be aware of the following:
* As most attendees are adults, all players must be a minimum of 1.5m tall and 13 years of age. Soccer may have incidental contact when contesting a ball, and we would hate for someone small to be injured as a result of running into someone larger than them.
* Any players under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a playing parent or guardian.
How to find us -
We meet on the astroturf pitch near the Baselball and Hockey clubs in Albert Park. The main location we use is called "Dorothy Coleman Field". If we aren't there then there may be a couple of other locations, [as noted on this dynamic map](https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1JdDwV4AOV5e-xP5d56m16-eu29GlnZQ&usp=sharing) \- generally we will follow in number order\.

Consciousness: What Is It, Really?
**PLEASE NOTE RECENT LOCATION CHANGE & ATTENDANCE FEE!**
Please join us this Sunday as we discuss the mysteries of consciousness.
**We will meet at the Queensberry Hotel, 593 Swanston Street, Carlton (100m north of previous location) at 2pm for a 2:15pm start sharp.**
**We kindly ask attendees to pay $5 to attend to help with MeetUp costs & venue costs. This is not mandatory, but if you are a regular member it would be appreciated. There is no pre-requisite preparation necessary, nor a philosophical background, all that is required is a curious mind. These discussions are both a Socrates Cafe style discussion and lively metaphysical dojo, in the spirit of learning and friendly debate, so please feel free to challenge assumptions and be prepared to have your own assumptions challenged.
Find below some questions to consider (these will be updated), however these are free-ranging events and the below serve as a springboard for the discussion.
\- Is consciousness something the brain does\, or something the brain has?
\- Does consciousness come in degrees\, or is it an all\-or\-nothing property?
\- Could a sufficiently advanced AI be conscious?
\- Is the mystery of consciousness an objective feature of reality\, or a limitation of human cognition?
\- what empirical discovery would most threaten your current view?
\- Do our answers on what consciousness is fundamentally depend on our worldview?
