Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of each game, you just need to bring your imagination. 🎭 **This week's facilitators:** * 🧑‍🚀 **Axel** with more sci-fi survival horror in *[Mothership](https://www.tuesdayknightgames.com/pages/mothership-rpg)* *\- Who Goes There?* The Euro-Canadian colony on the planet New Moravia has been growing steadily since settlement began 50 years ago. The natural next step in its development has been the construction of a space elevator. However, the region in which the elevator is being built is a wild and desolate one, far from the main settlements and home to unpleasant predators. You have been hired to provide additional assistance on-site - security, scientific, mechanical and the like. A straightforward enough job: working this remote station behind the safety of automatic security systems…but the storms are gathering, and you’re not entirely sure that howling is just the wind… * 🌇 **Vishnu** with *Hex and the City*: an urban fantasy clone of *[Lasers and Feelings](https://johnharper.itch.io/lasers-feelings)* where you are members of a monster hunting crew. You are all that stands between the forces of darkness and the innocent people that don't believe in them. Whatever hijinks and personal drama you have going on in the background, you have always managed to come through and save this City. Or at least, you have until SERENITY, THE CHOSEN ONE got herself grievously wounded in the last battle, leaving you with no prophetic visions to guide you, or convenient one-shot monster killing powers while she recovers. (Or maybe she's off "recuperating" with her demon boyfriend again, who knows). * 🦾 **Adam** with *Eclipse Runners* \- a hack of *[Blades in the Dark](https://bladesinthedark.com/)* where you play a crew of cybernetically-enhanced runners on an isolated colony in the far future. Your fixer has hit paydirt and this could be your final run. A senior researcher at Aurora Biogen who wants to hire you to help them defect. As you arrive at Biodome 5 you will find it’s in lockdown - an experiment has escaped containment and is overwhelming the facility. Our free-of-charge meet-up in the Black Sheep Pub on Capel Street. This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play. The meet-up runs for the whole day but late comers always welcome, you just may have to wait a little for a game to open up but games will be starting and ending throughout the day. **IMPORTANT!** **The meet up is free of charge but we do ask that people support the bar by buying food and/or drink. The bar is very accommodating to us and it's important that we support them in return. Jugger is a fast paced but easy to pick up sport that is great for beginners. Its like a combination of tag rugby and fencing and is a great way to meet new people and then hit them with a padded stick. Its light contact and the only gear you need to bring is clothing you are comfortable running around in and some water.

The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome.
