I've been teaching Korean since the Covid period, and like many of you, I love learning languages. I currently speak and study: šŸ‡«šŸ‡· French šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ English šŸ‡·šŸ‡ŗ Russian šŸ‡ØšŸ‡³ Chinese šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ Japanese While learning and teaching languages, I've often asked myself several questions: šŸ¤” What if someone wants to learn a new language but doesn't have much time? šŸ¤” How can children or people who struggle with reading learn a language effectively? šŸ¤” How can we create an environment where people can actually speak the language they are learning? šŸ¤” How can learners gain confidence while learning a language? šŸ¤” Is it possible to teach entirely in the target language while making sure students understand everything? --- ✨ These questions inspired me to create my own learning program. A program different from what you usually find in traditional textbooks. The goal is simple: šŸ‡°šŸ‡· Learn Korean by using Korean from day one. šŸ’¬ Understand naturally through context, visuals, gestures, and interaction. šŸ¤ Build a community where everyone can learn and grow together. --- # 🌱 Korean Starter Club This meetup is an introductory program designed for complete beginners and for people who want to regain confidence when speaking Korean. The goal is to discover a new way of learning Korean, practice together, and meet others who share the same interest in Korean language and culture. šŸ“¢ Opportunities to continue learning after this program will be presented during the meetups. --- # ā˜• Tea Time After Class After class, we'll spend some time together over tea or coffee. šŸµ Practice Korean šŸ’¬ Chat freely šŸ¤ Get to know each other šŸŒ Meet people with similar interests --- # šŸŽÆ This meetup is for you if... āœ… You know absolutely no Korean āœ… You've studied Korean before but need more speaking practice āœ… You'd rather learn with others than study alone āœ… You are a Korean child or young adult born and raised in France āœ… You don't have enough time for traditional language courses and lots of homework āœ… You need motivation to keep learning āœ… You know some grammar but hesitate when it's time to speak āœ… You'd like to gradually understand Korean dramas, variety shows, and videos āœ… You're planning a trip to Korea āœ… You'd like to communicate more naturally with a Korean friend, partner, or family member āœ… You prefer learning through real language use rather than memorizing grammar rules āœ… You've given up learning a language before because you were studying alone āœ… You'd like to make new friends āœ… You're looking for a new hobby or activity āœ… You enjoy discovering different cultures and meeting people from around the world --- # šŸŽ Member Bonus Every month, Korean Starter Club members receive: šŸ³ A €5 discount coupon for One World Kitchen Korean cooking workshops. --- # šŸŒ Online & In-Person Format To allow as many people as possible to participate: šŸ’» Online sessions available šŸ  In-person sessions in Villejuif After the 3:00 PM class, participants attending in person are also invited to join a small tea time. ā˜•āœØ --- # šŸ‘„ Come Alone or Bring Someone You don't need to know anyone to join! Most participants come on their own. You are also welcome to come with a friend, partner, or family member. Everyone is welcome. 😊 --- # šŸ“± Registration Registration is confirmed with a €5 participation fee. Once registered, you'll be invited to the private Korean Starter Club WhatsApp group. There, you can: šŸ’¬ Chat with other participants šŸ‡°šŸ‡· Practice your Korean šŸ“¢ Receive updates about classes and events šŸ¤ Stay connected with the community --- 🌱 This is not just a Korean class. Disconnect & Connect in Nature
Disconnect & Connect in Nature
I’m putting together a small hike trip weekend in Hoorneboegse heide in Hilversum, the idea is to come with a few people who want to step out of their routine, spend time in nature, and meet others in a relaxed way. This is not a tour or a structured retreat. The idea is simple step out of your comfort and everyday life to reconnect with nature and with each other. We will – explore the beautiful nature – share a few moments together – and keep things easy and natural There will be time together (walks and sunset). Group size will be small (around 2- 4 people), to keep it comfortable and personal. This Meetup is to connect people who are interested in real and human connection If this resonates, feel free to join and I’ll share more details šŸ™‚

Queer Family Hang Out!
Queer Family Hang Out!
Calling all Queer Families! Kinship Commons is hosting our first Queer family hang out! *Pride Month seems like a great time to find your people.* A casual space to meet other queer / trans families - who get it. Let the kids play, build community alongside each other or just rest and snack. Come for a little while or stay for the whole time. Come as you are or bring a snack to share. 20 June @ 2pm In an effort to keep us safe - Send a DM for location Official Language: English All ages and stages of family welcome! Happy Pride! ***Caring Community Agreements:*** *Kinship Commons gatherings are BIPOC centered, queer-affirming, family-friendly, community spaces built around care, mutual respect, and shared responsibility for the space.* *Many people who come to these spaces are navigating stress, burnout, grief, trauma, parenting, isolation, or major life transitions. We try to create spaces where people can arrive as they are, without needing to perform or explain themselves.* **Consent:** Please ask before hugging, touching, picking up children, taking photos, or sharing someone else’s story. No is a complete sentence. **Children:** Children are welcome in this space and are at the center of our ecosystem. We understand that children make noise, move around, and have big feelings - these are all normal ways to be a growing human. Adults are responsible for their own children, and as a community, we approach all children with patience and care rather than discipline or correction unless safety is involved. At one of our events, if you see a caregiver on their own with children that needs support, please offer a helping hand. **Photos and Social Media:** Please ask before taking photos that include other people or their children. Not everyone is safe being online. **Stepping Away:** You are always welcome to step outside, sit quietly, leave early, arrive late, or take space. You do not need to explain. **Food:** We come from many cultures and backgrounds where food is often the centerpiece of connection in community space. If food is shared, please label common allergens. People are welcome to bring their own separate food if they have dietary needs. **Access:** We try to choose spaces that are close to public transport + parking, accessible for strollers, mobility aids, and different body needs when possible. If you have a specific access need, please reach out ahead of time so we can meet your needs. **Conflict and Harm:** Community spaces are not perfect and misunderstandings happen. We approach conflict slowly, with conversation, curiosity and care, rather than public calling out or shaming. Accountability and repair are part of community. **Shared Responsibility:** This space exists because people help make it exist. This might look like helping set up, cleaning up, bringing snacks, sharing skills, checking in on someone, or simply showing up regularly. You are welcome here whether you are outgoing or quiet, whether you know many people or no one, whether you come once a year or every week. There are many ways to belong to a community.
Immersieve ervaringen: van verhaal tot beleving
Immersieve ervaringen: van verhaal tot beleving
*Please note: this meetup will be held in English.* In this first meet up, you will be shown a set of immersive artistic and design research experiments. Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to ā€œpin the blameā€ on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to ā€œeraseā€ the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies ā€œcorrosive criticismā€ or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are ā€œstoredā€ and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can ā€œeraseā€ those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become ā€œtoxicā€ personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country. Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply. ### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?** Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment. ## **Why Join?** * **Improve Mental & Physical Well-Being** – Movement, nature, and supportive conversations reduce stress and promote balance. * **Feel Less Alone** – Build genuine connections with like-minded people in a safe, welcoming space. * **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection. ## **The Ideal Group Leader** The ideal group leader * Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community. * Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us. * Is independently financially stable with the ability to volunteer with no expectation of pay. This is a deeply beautiful journey of service that all participants commit to at Speak Your Mind. * An ability to manage groups with high emotional intelligence and desire for human connection. * An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms. * Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus. ## **Our Impact** ![](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/64a6315db1eb8d081603d9ea/028252c7-347e-4196-8c79-b81d2a4db4bb/Mountaineering+Guide+Trifold+Brochure+in+Pink+White+Modern+Minimalist+Style+-+2.jpg) Since launching, we have helped thousands find support, connection, and healing through our Outdoor Movement Groups. 100% of participants surveyed have reported: * A noticeable improvement in mental clarity and emotional well-being. * An increase in social connection and a sense of belonging. * Said they would return again. We believe mental health should be accessible, community-driven, and rooted in nature. Join us and take the first step toward a more connected, grounded, and supported version of yourself. ### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based** Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission! Every contribution helps us: * **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization. * **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year. By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic. ## **Come Join Us!** We’d love to have you be part of this growing community of people prioritizing their mental health, movement, and connection. šŸ”¹ **Visit Our Website to Learn More:** https://speakyourmind.men/joinusoutside šŸ”¹ **Apply Here to Lead Your Own Group!** – https://form.jotform.com/taketimespeakyourmind/sym-group-leader-application šŸ”¹ **Support the mission**: If you resonate with the mission and want to support, feel free to join a group before applying or donate to help us reach our goals to help more people! Evolve Shades of Sisterhood (Virtual)
Evolve Shades of Sisterhood (Virtual)
Evolve exists to provide a welcoming place for professional women to create an authentic community, deeper connections, and confident growth through networking and workshop events. No cliques, no judgement. **Shades of Sisterhood** is a space for women to grow from the inside out through meaningful conversations, personal development, mindset growth, and courageous self-awareness. These gatherings are designed to create deeper connection, expand perspective, and encourage women to become healthier, stronger, and more aligned versions of themselves — both personally and professionally. Through honest dialogue, shared experiences, and intentional conversations around identity, leadership, confidence, relationships, emotional resilience, and growth, women are invited into a supportive environment where they can learn, reflect, heal, and evolve together. This is not about perfection, hustle culture, or surface-level positivity. It is about creating a safe space for women to have real conversations, challenge limiting beliefs, grow in self-awareness, and step more confidently into who they were created to become. At its core, Shades of Sisterhood exists to remind women that growth starts within — and no woman has to navigate that journey alone. Guests are always welcome.
