#107 WordPress-Updates eine Übersicht zu viert
#107 WordPress-Updates eine Übersicht zu viert
**WordPress Update – live in Bern** WordPress 6.9 ist gut abgehangen, und der nächste Release steht vor der Tür. Wir teilen unsere Erfahrungen: Was ist neu, was funktioniert gut, was weniger. WordPress lebt vom Austausch.

Zurich Friends of Haskell - General Assembly
Every year the Zurich Friends of Haskell meet for a general assembly as per the [statutes of the association](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-8eHAK40hiH5jv79AscWtf3pyUNxx4Ls1LwkpLYK--8/edit?usp=sharing). The purpose of the Zurich Friends of Haskell is to organize ZuriHac and the HaskellerZ meetup. The general assembly gives you the opportunity to learn what the association has been doing in the year 2025 and to contribute to ZuriHac, the HaskellerZ meetup, and the Haskell community in Zurich. The general assembly is open to all members of the ZFoH. If you are not a member yet, please head over to [the ZFoH website](https://zfoh.ch) and sign up for membership. The agenda is as follows: 1. The board will present a summary of the association's activities in 2025. 2. The treasurer will present the financial report for 2025. 3. We vote to discharge the board for their work in 2025. 4. We will discuss the goals and aspirations of the association for 2026. 5. We will elect the board for the years 2026 & 2027. Please let us know if you have further topics you would like to discuss. Note: members of the ZFoH will receive a separate invitation via email. Please RSVP to this meetup event anyway so we get an accurate picture of who will be attending. Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you at the GA! PS: We'll be holding a regular HaskellerZ meetup right after the general assembly, to be announced as a separate Meetup event. The atmosphere is simple, welcoming, and focused on the food. *** ### 🍜 What to Expect * Traditional Vietnamese dishes prepared with authenticity * Fresh herbs, balanced broths, and clean, layered flavours * Recipes inspired directly by **Hoi An street food and home cooking** * A menu that feels personal, not industrial [You can check the menu here!](https://www.hangs.ch/karte) There’s also a new Bánh Mì takeaway concept, showing their focus on real Vietnamese staples done properly. Just next door, but we are in the restaurant. *** ### 🗓 Event Details 📍 **Where:** Hang’s Vietnamese Restaurant, Schaffhauserstrasse 133, 8057 Zürich 📅 **When:** *Sunday 29 March, 13:00* 💸 **Cost:** Pay what you order (à la carte) 🪑 **Reservation:** Marco Azzari *** ### 💬 Why You’ll Love It * Authentic Vietnamese cuisine from someone who grew up with it * A real connection to Hoi An’s culinary culture * Fresh, balanced, and flavour-driven dishes * A relaxed, honest place to explore Vietnamese food properly
Web Zurich March 2026
Web Zurich March 2026
Web Zurich presents inspiring talks all about the web. Join us for the March 2026 meetup! We will have three talks as well as chit-chat and drinks. Whatapp: [https://chat.whatsapp.com/FxOfVTK9nf431xHtVl3eGK](https://chat.whatsapp.com/FxOfVTK9nf431xHtVl3eGK) Website: [https://webzurich.ch](https://webzurich.ch) 18:30 \~ 19:00 Arrival time with drinks, chat and introduction 19:00 \~ 19:40 *Christian Heitzmann* **Why Documentation Won’t Write Itself—and AI Won’t Save You** For the last 15+ years, I’ve joined and consulted software teams that all struggled with the same problem: nobody likes writing documentation, and everybody pays the price for it. New developers spend weeks reverse-engineering codebases, architecture lives in people’s heads, and wikis quietly decay into noise. With AI now entering the picture, many hope it will fill the gaps. It won’t. I’ll show the simple ideas that change everything: how to think about documentation in the right levels, how to keep it close to the code, and how to avoid the decay we all know too well. These are the decisions that have to be made before any tool or process can work. The documentation won’t write itself. But there are ways to make it far easier and far more reliable. 19:40 \~ 19:50 **Short Break** 19:50 \~ 20:10 *Marco Gähler* **How to write good code** There is an infinite amount of solutions how you can solve a programming problem. Some are better, others are worse. The best solutions are easy to understand, maintain and errors are not able to hide. I wrote a book "Software Engineering Made Easy" about this topic and I'm more than happy to explain some principles that make your code better. Most of them are quite simple to understand, once you understand the mechanics, why your code always breaks. 20:10 \~ 20:30 *Marius Ishida* **AI: The Lightsaber Problem** My talk will challenge the popular narrative that AI fundamentally democratizes power by showing that, which I believe is not true at all. While generative AI lowers entry barriers for basic tasks, it disproportionately amplifies the productivity and leverage of already computer literate users. Empirical research shows that AI acts as a skill multiplier rather than a true equalizer, with outcomes strongly dependent on users’ ability to frame problems, verify outputs, and integrate tools into complex workflows. As a result, AI risks reinforcing a new AI driven digital divide, where technical literacy—not access alone—determines who truly benefits. 20:30 onward More drinks & chat We look forward to see you there! Zurich Kundalini Yoga/Meditation (Donation Basis)
Zurich Kundalini Yoga/Meditation (Donation Basis)
Dear All, This session is mainly for the people who want to learn kundalini yoga/meditation in a traditional way. Traditionally the master will transfer his/her kundalini energy to the student to activate his important chakras (energy centre) including Third Eye and Crown Chakra. The student can start to feel his/her Kundalini Energy is rising from their base of the spine and feeling the energy vibration(Consciousness) in the third eye (the space between the eyebrows) from the Kundalini Activation. This session is helpful for the beginners who want to learn simple yoga-meditation exercises also. This is a general session to experience your inner kundalini energy. But if you need proper kundalini activation(Shaktipat), then pre-registration is mandatory. **What is included in this session?** * Simple stretching practices for Hip and Spine (not complicated, even beginners can do) * Kundalini Breathing Techniques * Sound Energy (Mantra) Meditation * Energy Healing Techniques * Formal Kundalini Activation (optional and only for pre-registered people) * Chakra Meditation * Yoga Nidra (Relaxation) **Some of the benefits of Kundalini Energy Activation are:** * Keeps the body healthy * Mind attains its natural peaceful state, so the meditation becomes easy. * Breathing pattern will be harmonized * Stress release and peace * Clear & sharp intellect * More intuition * Inner happiness * Clairvoyance and Clairvision * and to the ultimate SELF realization (which will lead to the blissful state - our true state) with enough years of practise **DONATION BASIS** **About the Teacher who conducts this session:** The kundalini wisdom teacher Jayaprakash is from India. He is practising kundalini yoga for the since 2005 under the guidance of Self Realized Indian Master "GuruMahan". He is teaching kundalini yoga since 2008 as part of a non-profit organization "Maha Shakthi Yogam Switzerland". He teaches Yoga/Meditation/Pranic Healing/Stress Relief courses in various places of Germany and Switzerland. He is the authorized kundalini yoga wisdom teacher from UPF(India) to give kundalini initiations (Shaktipat) with the Grace and Protection of his Master. All these events are conducted for non-profit purpose. Donations are collected on behalf of Swiss non-profit organization (Verein) "Maha Shakthi Yogam - Switzerland" **Eligibility:** Anyone can attend the session even if they don't have previous yoga/Meditation experiences. **Dress:** Wear a comfortable dress if possible yoga dress. We provide the yoga mat. **Please RSVP only you are really interested and coming ! Limited Seats !** **About Kundalini Shaktipat:** In every human being there is a source of natural energy that the yogis call the kundalini. In order to evolve in the yogic path, no matter what our path, the kundalini must be active. For most of us, the kundalini lies dormant at the bottom of the spine in the base chakra known as the Muladhar. When it awakens, it ascends through the chakras until it reaches the highest chakra, the Sahasrar. When that occurs, we merge with our True Self and attain SELF realization (our true nature). Shaktipat is the transfer of spiritual energy from the teacher to the student in order to awaken the kundalini. This process is compared to lighting one candle with another that is already lit and glowing. When the teacher is connected with the fully realized master and the energy is completely within his or her control, shaktipat initiation ensures that the student’s energy will remain active and stable. "Electricity is present everywhere, but there can be light only when the switch is turned on. Similarly the true master manifests the consciousness in the disciple through shaktipat.” **HAPPINESS is our TRUE Nature, which comes from within not from outside !**

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them. Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance". Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation of Central Ohio and Church of Scientology of Central Ohio.

**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 **Abstract** Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively. This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way. **YouTube Link** TBA
