With guidance from a local flavor-maker, you’ll get the chance to create your own personalized blend using classic Scandinavian spices and garnishes. Once your mug is filled with your perfect concoction, settle into a candlelit workspace stocked with vintage magazines, colorful papers, fabrics, and other tactile treasures. A collage artist will guide the group through a meditative cut-and-paste flow where you’ll create a visual piece rooted in seasonal themes like winter coziness, Copenhagen memories, or dream landscapes. Whether you come with friends or on your own, this cozy and creative evening will leave you inspired, relaxed, and ready for winter.

This event is to gather interest in starting an Arabic book club in Copenhagen. If we move forward, the host will choose the first book, and everyone will have four weeks to read it before meeting to discuss and select the next title. The books will be Arabic, hence the discussions will also be in Arabic. If you have any questions, feel free to text me!

Come join us for an afternoon run/jog/walk We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them. Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance". Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
