Living Diversity - Nonviolent Communication weekly course in English in Zürich
Living Diversity - Nonviolent Communication weekly course in English in Zürich
\>\>\>\>\>\>\> All Info and registration here: https://interbeing\.ch/living\-diversity/ **– *Understand our differences and connect in conflict* –** In this course, we explore together how we can be with each other in our differences. We learn how to communicate more effectively with our loved ones, colleagues and even with people who share opposite opinions. * How can I feel understood, even when you see things differently? * How can I connect with people who think, feel, or live differently from me? * How to navigate conflict without losing myself or the other? * How to meet diversity with curiosity instead of fear? Before connecting with others, we get to know ourselves: Find out what is behind our triggers and judgments, identify our feelings and needs. This inner clarity strengthens our self empowerment and the ability to meet others on eye level instead of betraying ourself, giving up our wishes, or dominating the conversation. We learn to better understand each other in our differences and invite cooperation. We explore movements beyond polarizing debates, while staying true to ourselves, so we can belong a bit more rather than merely fit in. ## We research how to: * Listen more deeply to ourself and gain inner clarity about our needs and what really matters to us * Realise when we need self care before connecting with others * Find inner clarity when we’re triggered * Stand honestly for our needs, express our wishes and invite cooperation * Grow capacity in understanding other viewpoints * See the beautiful messages behind our judgments and the judgments of others * Be in conflict with care and connection **Facilitation Style:** During each session, we offer theoretical input, live demonstrations, group discussions, and two to three guided exercises. We share insights and tips inspired by Nonviolent Communication (NVC) by [Yoram Mosenzon](https://www.connecting2life.net/trainer/yoram-mosenzon/) and Marshall Rosenberg. But foremost we invite you to find your own way. To develop your own communication style with your inner parts and your fellow humans. Part of the sessions will be shaped by the wishes and interests of the group. We might offer themed evenings that dive deeper into specific areas of diversity where staying connected can be difficult (such as race, gender, sexual orientation, neurodivergence, mental health, illness and disability, diet, relationship styles, cultural background, political views, and our ways of relating to money and consumption,…) or explore more depth some conflict situation. You’re warmly invited to bring your personal situations so we can work with concrete, lived experiences. \>\>\>\>\>\>\> All Info and registration here: https://interbeing\.ch/living\-diversity/

The Chemistry Lab — A Psychology-Based Coffee Date Meetup
The Chemistry Lab — A Psychology-Based Coffee Date Meetup
This isn’t a typical singles mixer. The Chemistry Lab is a small, curated gathering of 10–12 professionals where compatibility is considered before you walk in the door. Here’s how it works: once we have enough attendees to form couples, your attendance will be confirmed, you’ll complete a short 10-minute psychological assessment covering your attachment style, core values, and what you genuinely need in a partner. I will send it to everyone personally. We use those results to handpick the guest list. On the night: • A relaxed private coffee setting • Your personal profile card with your psychological summary • Structured conversation prompts tailored to the group • No “so what do you do” openers • 10–12 carefully selected attendees Who this is for: Self-aware professionals who are serious about finding something real and done wasting time on bad matches. Spots are limited and every application is reviewed personally. Good conversation. Real compatibility. No small talk.
Aktzeichnen (Life drawing) in Kreis 4
Aktzeichnen (Life drawing) in Kreis 4
Every week since 2022, we have featured nude model poses, both in short and long poses. At the beginning, we have short poses (2, 3, 5, 15 minutes), then two 30-minute sessions. Between blocks, we have 5-10-minute breaks to refresh and socialize with tea and cookies. Normally, we have an interesting international group of artists, consisting of around 8-10 people, who come regularly and do not typically write about their attendance on Meetup. **Important!** Please book your ticket at Meetup by PayPal or [https://eventfrog.ch/en/p/art-exhibitions/other-art-events/life-drawing-aktzeichnen-in-zuerich-kreiss-4-7443670439170199947.html](here) On our Instagram page, you can see drawings from our artists from previous events: [here](https://eventfrog.ch/en/cockpitv3/events/7365649101847824543/overview) Please bring your favorite drawing material. We provide wooden desks and some drawing materials to lend if you forgot yours. This is a non-guided event; all styles and levels are welcome.

✒️Ink & Drink: a Star is born ⭐️
✒️Ink & Drink: a Star is born ⭐️
Somewhere, in a hospital or a bedroom or a room you've never seen, you arrived. Outside, the world had no idea. The newspaper was already printed. The radio played on. History moved at its usual pace — completely indifferent to you. 🎂 But what if it wasn't? What if the world that day was, somehow, the world that made you? ✨ ✨ ✨ 🔍 🥂Join us for a historic Ink & Drink session, hosted by a very special guest, Deji. We will share a drink and start with a simple act of curiosity: Google your birth date, day, month, and year. Find out exactly what was happening in the world on the day you arrived — who else was born, what was being celebrated, what was falling apart or being built. Choose one event that really jumps out at you. Then, write. • Retell the story of your birth with this event in mind. Imagine the newspaper headlines that morning — did your mother read the paper? What was on her mind? • What conversations were happening in the room around you? What did the world smell like, sound like, feel like — on that very specific day? No prior writing experience is needed. Optional prompts will guide you, or you can follow your own instinct wherever it leads. Sharing at the end is always optional. ✒️ Ink & Drink is a creative writing evening in English — a relaxed, social gathering around words, ideas, and a shared drink. ✨ ✨ ✨ ☕️ The event is free — please plan to order at least one drink on site as a gesture of respect toward the Moudi restaurant hosting us. 🍲🧆For those who wish, you're warmly invited to stay afterward for a Lebanese dinner — a lovely way to continue conversations and grow a creative community together. Looking forward to rewriting history together! ✍️✨ ⌚️When: Wednesday, April 29 | 6:45 PM - 8:30 PM 📍 Location: Bei Moudi am Kunsthaus (restaurant/bar)

If none, that's cool too. Round 3: * Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool. After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized! Shut Up & Write!™ Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you! • What to bring Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible. See you at The Café on Saturday!

"Under the Oak Tree" by Suji Kim
Join us for lunch/tea at Asterisk Supper Club to discuss our May book "Under the Oak Tree" by Suji Kim Lady Maximilian is the daughter of the powerful Duke Croyso, but she is rarely allowed outside her family’s sprawling castle for fear that her stutter will tarnish their noble name. When she is forced to marry Sir Riftan, a lowborn knight caught in one of her father’s schemes, Maxi doesn’t dare hope for happiness, let alone love. Her stumbling communication and his gruff manner sour their relationship before it can begin, and Riftan leaves without a word the morning after their vows are exchanged. Now, three years after their disastrous wedding night, Riftan has returned as a war hero. To Maxi’s surprise, despite rumors that he was offered marriage to Princess Agnes, a beautiful and renowned sorceress, Riftan still wants Maxi for his wife. And when he comes to claim her, his longing becomes a desire that bewilders Maxi, even as she is overcome by the scorching heat that Riftan’s presence ignites within her. As she learns to navigate the intricacies of her new life, Maxi will find herself and her courage, and discover that she is anything but powerless.
