Let's discuss "Sympathy Tower Tokyo" Rie Qudan
Sympathy Tower Tokyo by Rie Qudan is a bestselling, award-winning Japanese novel about a dystopian future where criminals are seen as victims and housed in a luxurious, skyscraper-like prison called "Sympathy Tower". The story follows architect Sara Machina as she designs the controversial building, grappling with her past trauma and using an AI chatbot for inspiration, while the narrative explores themes of language, conformity, and the nature of sympathy through multiple perspectives, including an American journalist and the AI itself.
We will start our discussion at 7:30. Food and drink are available for purchase.

Move your body, release that fear
Hello friend!
**If you are tired of being constantly pulled back by your fear of this or that, of one or the other (always something), like I was tired, then this outdoor workshop event is for you.**
Join us in the somatic practice and release that fear. One fear that is pestering you. One is enough. Others will follow.
In this relaxed gathering, we’ll:
* combine gentle and vigorous movement, with guided honest conversation, during which...
* you will feel and verbalize one specific fear, worry or frustration out loud, when ready to do so.
* This action creates a powerful moment of insight and possibly even an A-Ha! moment. Shared with other humans.
* Between movements and during breaks, **we’ll explore what’s underneath it all and how to start releasing the fear's hold.**
The intention is simple: **to** **receive a tune-up which would help you feel lighter, clearer, and freer than when you arrived.**
No previous experience needed.
I’m a certified Mindset Life Coach, here to guide the process safely and supportively.
All adults 18+ are welcome. Please bring your beach towel or a yoga mat - we will interact with nature.
With respect,
Siniša Balen

Vibe Coding the Platform: Agentic DevOps with Claude Code & Codex
LLM chat was the warm-up.
Ask a question. Copy. Paste. Tweak.
Useful — but capped.
The real shift is agentic DevOps workflows using tools like Claude Code and the OpenAI Codex App — systems that can reason across repositories, plan multi-step changes, modify infrastructure, and operate closer to how real engineers build.
This session is both 101 and 201.
If you’re new to agentic tooling, you’ll understand what’s fundamentally different from chat-based usage.
If you’re already experimenting, you’ll leave with practical agentic patterns for workflow design, context control, infrastructure changes, and avoiding unstructured vibe coding.
Not using agentic tooling in DevOps today is starting to feel like refusing to use the internet in 2003.
This isn’t about hype.
It’s about leverage.
It’s a great time to be a builder — if you build with agents.
*Come at 5:30 pm have some pizza and chat for a bit. The presentation starts at 6:00 pm.*
Heartbreak Hotel + Power Plant + Post-Food/ Drinks (Harbourfront Centre)
**On Sunday, June 14th, join me for Heartbreak Hotel, part of Luminato Festival, straight from an Off-Broadway run, and from acclaimed New Zealand company EBKM**. Heartbreak Hotel blends storytelling, science, and synth-driven music to explore heartbreak from the inside out. Part love story, part physiology lesson, the show follows one woman as she tries — earnestly, awkwardly, and often hilariously — to understand what it really means when love ends. Funny, raw, and unexpectedly tender, Heartbreak Hotel is for anyone who’s loved deeply and lost painfully. A show for broken hearts, open hearts, and anyone who knows that connection — messy, fragile, and beautiful — is what makes us human. My seat is J9. **Purchase Heartbreak Hotel on Sunday, June 14th at 2pm.**
**COST**
Adults: $49 includes service charges
Meetup Organizer Fee: $5
Ticket Policy: All sales are final.
**SIGNING-UP**
* **RSVP, confirming if you will join for food/drinks after**
* **[Purchase](https://purchase.luminatofestival.com/ChooseSeats/1602)**[ ](https://tickets.mirvish.com/tina/20416)**your own ticket for Sunday June 14, 2026 at 2pm, and post a comment with your seat number**
A reminder will be sent the day before with my cell and reminder details where to meet and when.
RSVPs close Friday and cancellations will result in a No Show and impact future attendance.
**MEETUP TIME**
**Meet me at: 1:45pm inside Fleck Theatre at Harbourfront Centre at 235 Queens Quay West**
Start: 2pm
Length: 75 minutes (no intermission)
After: meet at the same spot to head across the floor to the Power Plant
Enjoy and please post your comments in the Event after.
Riverdale Park 5K Run / Walk / Jog
5K every week till the snows come down! Or try to!
We'll meet by the track. I'll be there early to warm up. We will start the 5K exactly at 9:30am. As mentioned in the About Us,
* Using the park track we can all go at our own pace and never really be left behind unless we all finish way ahead of you. :D I think an hour is enough time to dedicate to the run. I'm pretty slow, so you will likely have me around for most of the hour.
* Members are free to leave the run whenever they want.
* Bring your kids, your pets, your partners, etc.
* All encouraged to stick around afterwards and enjoy the park or neighbourhood on your own.
* Let's get stronger, healthier and foster a great community at the same time.
We also welcome runners who are not in our neighbourhood and want to join us spiritually and run from their own neighbourhoods. :-) Imagine how much healthier and communal the world would be if we all stopped for an hour once in a while to run together; re-centring and re-charging together?

The real shift is happening with agentic DevOps workflows using tools like Claude Code and the OpenAI Codex App — systems that can reason across repositories, plan multi-step changes, modify infrastructure, and operate much closer to how real engineers actually build.
This session is designed for both beginners and practitioners.
You’ll walk away with practical patterns for:

Powell Gold Star Referral Club Meetup
We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot. Bring plenty of cards!
Battle of the personal agents
Join the Columbus AI community for a special event.
**Battle of the Personal Agents** is your chance to see what people are actually building with AI agents and personal automation systems. Whether you’re running OpenClaw, Hermes, or a completely custom solution, bring your agent and show the community how it works.
We’re interested in real-world implementations: the problems your agent solves, how you use it day-to-day, how it’s hosted and managed, how you built it, and why you’ve chosen to keep using it. Live demonstrations are encouraged, so be prepared to show your code, architecture, workflows, and your agent performing real tasks.
This is less about polished presentations and more about sharing practical experience, comparing approaches, and learning from one another. If you’d like to present, please contact Chris Slee (via meetup) before the event so we can allocate enough time for everyone’s demonstrations.
Come ready to show what you’ve built, discover what others are doing, and maybe find a few ideas worth taking home.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.
