PWU Kickoff Walk: Fitness • Friendship • Belonging
PWU Kickoff Walk: Fitness • Friendship • Belonging
**Join us for the first official walk of Power Walkers Universe (PWU)** — a global community without borders where **fitness, friendship, and belonging** come alive. We’ll gather, stretch, and set out on a refreshing walk together. Whether you’re here to build stamina, meet new friends, or simply enjoy moving in community, **you belong here**. **What to bring:** Comfortable walking shoes, water, and your great energy. **Walk at Your Own Pace** Prospect Park’s loop is about 3.35 miles. Everyone is welcome to walk at the pace that feels right for them: * **Brisk walkers** can move at a faster pace and finish the loop sooner. * **Leisure walkers** can take their time, enjoy the scenery, and finish at a comfortable pace. There are multiple entrances and exits throughout the park, so if you prefer to walk a shorter distance, you’ll have options to join or leave the loop without pressure. No matter your pace, there will always be someone walking near your rhythm — **you won’t be left behind.** The goal is movement, connection, and community — not competition. Whether you complete the whole loop or just part of it, **you’re part of the Power Walkers Universe.** A walk for every pace — brisk or leisurely, you belong here. Every step counts — your pace is the right pace here. 📍 **Meeting Point** We’ll meet at **Grand Army Plaza, on the Flatbush Avenue side, directly across from the Brooklyn Public Library (main entrance)**. This is the same area where the Farmers Market is usually held. Look for us gathered near the plaza entrance before we head into the park together. PS: As we grow, other days and times will be added.

Advanced Character Lab - for Improv Enthusiasts Who Want to Perform Live!
You love improv and you love to challenge yourself. You’ve done the work, taken the classes, been to the drop-ins, and maybe even performed live improv in the past. Now you want more. But you don't want the commitment. This is a stand-alone session with seasoned performers who are coming off of a recent sellout show! **Here’s what makes this one different:** * This Lab is focused on *your* improv development. * You're stepping in with performers who have performed in front of live audiences. * People who take this seriously. * Who show up sharp. * Who will challenge you in the best way * This Lab is also a potential path to joining us in our next live Comedy Improv Show *** **👥 What you can expect:** * Full-length scenes with real character depth * Work with improvisers who’ve been doing this for years * A format designed to push your instincts, not just your timing * Actual stage time — not exercises that keep you on the sidelines **It’s fast-paced, focused, and built for performers who want to... perform!** 🙌 If you want in: RSVP with your experience level. We’re not here to judge anyone — we just want to keep the room tight and the scenes solid. As Head of AI and ML Systems at BioSole International, he focuses on using Cassandra to encode data dependencies that enable reproducible, auditable, and constrained AI reasoning. Since the early days of the Cassandra Open Source project, it has been recognized as a critical component in the evolution of telecom infrastructure, particularly mobile core networks. This talk traces how early design constraints shaped architectural decisions in large-scale deployments. It is a story told across three cities in the Persian Gulf, under tight launch timelines, geopolitical complexity, and read-after-write visibility requirements that had an upper limit of 11ms.
