Dialogues #34 - Topic: Violence Within Us
In a world full of opinions, noise, and quick reactions, we often miss spaces for real dialogue — for slowing down, listening, and connecting with one another. This evening is an invitation to do exactly that.
Join us for an open and friendly evening (in English & free of charge) dedicated to Violence Within Us.
We will brainstorm together in an Open Space–style format, where participants choose topics themselves about what we want to discuss from this broad topic - questions to help you get inspired:
What is violence and is it ever justified?
Is revolution possible without violence?
Violence as disciplinary method, how do you see it?
Physical violence X Mental violence - how many kinds of violence are there?
Afterwards, participants will form small groups to explore the questions and insights around the topics
18:00 – Doors open
18:15 – Introduction & topic selection
18:40 - We start discussions
19:40 - Closing session (sharing activities)
20:00 - Networking & Connect
What to expect:
A welcoming space for newcomers and regulars alike
Be slightly pushed to socialize
Open, participant-led small-group discussions on diverse perspectives
No expertise required — everyone’s opinion matters!
Safe, respectful, and judgment-free conversations
More about sharing and reflecting than debating or convincing
No pressure to speak — listening is just as valuable
Not a lecture, not a debate club, and definitely not intimidating!
Feel free to bring some snacks to share!
Friendly dogs are welcome!
If you are a regular that appreciate us and can help, or a newcomer who enjoyed the evening, and wants to help, we have recently set a Patreon page where you can support us!

20/03 Spring Reset for Women: CACAO AND BREATHWORK
Spring Reset for Women is an evening dedicated to transition and renewal.
As the season shifts, this gathering offers space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Instead of thinking about change, we allow the body to move through it.
The evening begins with a cacao ritual to create warmth and grounding. From there, participants are guided into a breathwork journey supported by music and imagery. The practice invites release of what feels complete and a gentle reconnection with clarity, strength, and direction. The evening closes with integration and an optional sharing circle.
Important:
This practice is not suitable for participants who are pregnant or who have epilepsy, glaucoma, serious heart conditions, or acute psychiatric disorders. If you have health concerns, please contact us in advance.
Facilitated by Katya Zheltova, certified breathwork facilitator and therapist trained in Holosomatic Breathwork, Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her work combines therapeutic depth with embodied practice, offering grounded and carefully guided spaces.

The Lost Weekend, on Friday 20.3 at 20h at Kino Ponrepo
Hi everyone!
Please join us on **Friday, March 20th**, for a screening of **[The Lost Weekend](https://nfa.cz/cs/63451-ztraceny-weekend-the-lost-weekend?screening=63452)** at **[Kino Ponrepo](https://nfa.cz/en/ponrepo-cinema)**. The movie begins at **20:30**.
You’ll find me (wearing a bright pink/flowery scarf) at the Kino Ponrepo café from 8 pm.
The movie, directed by filmmaker Billy Wilder and released in 1945, follows Don, an aspiring writer, who ‘faces numerous challenges, including the impact of his alcoholism on his relationships with his girlfriend Helen … and his brother Wick. The film stands out for its raw depiction of addiction, making it a poignant representation of the struggles faced by those affected by alcoholism, particularly resonant in the post-World War II context.’ (See [here](https://www.ebsco.com/research-starters/film/lost-weekend-film).)
Come enjoy this screening and stay for a drink and a chat about the film afterwards!
If you’d like to join us, please **purchase your own ticket [here](https://goout.net/en/tickets/the-lost-weekend/jpwjb/)**. Please note that seats are unassigned, so arriving a little early is recommended if you’d like to choose your spot.
Kind request: if you register to attend but are unable to join, please change your RSVP accordingly.
Hope to see you there!

📋 WHAT IS THE EUSECON BARCAMP?

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🕐 HOW DOES IT WORK?
⏰ 10:00-11:00 - BUILD THE SCHEDULE
We gather and dedicate the first hour to create the schedule. Every attendee can pitch their topic on stage while others vote. The most popular sessions make it onto the schedule. By 11 AM, the day's agenda of \~20 sessions across 4 rooms is set.
💡 11:00-18:00 - LEAD OR LEARN
Jump into any session that interests you. Share your knowledge or ask questions. Every session is a real conversation where people challenge ideas, share perspectives, and build on each other's experiences.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✓ Anyone ready to see things in a new way
✓ Sellers looking for fresh perspectives and real solutions
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🎤 THE BEAUTY OF THIS FORMAT:
If 10 people want to discuss international VAT strategies - it happens.
If 15 want to talk about AI-driven listing optimization - that becomes a session.
If an expert has a presentation on a hot Amazon topic - suddenly there are 50 people gathered to listen.
You get content that addresses REAL challenges happening right now.

We are currently meeting in-person at Locus Workspace. If you have any questions, contact Sonya Lano here or on Facebook or Messenger (https://www.facebook.com/sonya.lano).
We start at 9:00, introduce ourselves, and share a few words about what we're working on and what we hope to accomplish during the session. At the end of the session, you can give us a brief recap of how it went. We'll break at noon.
The afternoon session starts at 2:00 pm. You're welcome to join both sessions or just one. Please come as close to 9:00 as you can if you come for the morning session. If you come to the afternoon session, we are usually back by about a quarter to 2:00.
Prague Writers Group [in-person & virtual]
\*\*\*\*\* We're meeting both in-person and virtually via Skype depending on the week. Contact Sonya Lano for more information if you want to join \*\*\*\*\*
This is for anyone wanting feedback! We mostly focus on novels and longer works, but short stories are welcome, as well. You can submit anything you want feedback on in any genre. Current word limit for submissions is 4,000 words. Send your submissions by 13:30 the Thursday before the meeting (or we have a grace period during which you can submit a lower limit of 2,500 words if you submit by midnight Thursday evening). Also, if you don't have time to read through everyone's submissions, still join the meeting! We know that busy schedules don't always make finding reading time easy.
To submit, use the Dropbox folder. If you don't have access to it, send sonyalakadosch@yahoo.com your e-mail address so I can add you.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! My number in case of any confusion the day of the meeting is 737 118 530 - or on Facebook: Sonya Lano (https://www.facebook.com/sonya.lano)
DROPBOX INFO:
* add new submissions for the next meeting in the " submissions" folder for the meeting date. Put your name at the beginning of the file name (for example: "Sonya Somewhere in the Dark")
* When providing written feedback (not required, but deeply welcome), save the file as a separate document on your device, then mark your changes/ feedback in the saved file. After you're finished, put the file in the "Feedback" folder under the folder for the meeting date and then under the person the feedback is for (e.g. "For Sonya").
* The submissions folder will be replaced within a week after the meeting has taken place. Feedback will be deleted within 2 months after the meeting, so if you need it longer than that, make sure to copy it to your own disk.
Sunday Reading Circle: Philosophy as a Way of Life
It's easy to get the idea that philosophy is largely an abstract and conceptual endeavor–studying theories that try to explain the universe, morality, or language, and then arguing until we either prove those we disagree with wrong or at least reach a smug sense of clarity. But is that all that philosophy has to offer?
For this month's reading, we'll explore this question with **Pierre Hadot**, a French philosopher and historian of philosophy. Hadot was a **professor at the Collège de France**, where he held the **Chair in the History of Hellenistic and Roman Thought**.
He specialized in **ancient Greek and Roman philosophy--especially Stoicism, Neoplatonism, and early Christian thought**–as was known for his scholarship on **Marcus Aurelius, Plotinus, and ancient spiritual exercises**. His work has influenced many contemporary philosophers, classicists, and the modern revival of philosophy as a lived practice.
\*\*\*
Below is a PDF copy of Hadot's essay Philosophy as a Way of Life. If you have trouble accessing it, send the host a message–extra copies are available.

We’ll have tea and light snacks, but please feel free to bring any drink or snack you’d like to share!
This event will be hosted in an apartment with a well-trained dog who will be happy to meet you. If anyone has concerns about dogs, let me know so I can be mindful about keeping her from bothering you.
The buzzer is Everett and Mainous—we’re on the 5th floor, apartment 16.
Meeting structure: We will start with a brief summary of the key ideas Hadot presents then move to open discussion. Please read the text in advance, make highlights, and note any thoughts or questions you find interesting and compelling.

Five presenters will take the stage to showcase something they've built, solved, designed, or imagined on the ServiceNow platform - and a panel of judges (plus YOU, our amazing audience) will score them live.
So basically, America's Got Talent but make it ServiceNow's Got Talent.
Bring a notepad if you'd like 'cause you'll definitely be learning something new.
Each presenter gets 10 minutes max to wow the crowd with:
• A demo
• A real-world business solution
• A bold idea
• A UX transformation
• Or a creative use of the platform
Judging Criteria:
🏆 Business Value
🚀 Innovation
✨ User Experience
This event is about celebrating ideas, sharing knowledge, and showing how ServiceNow can drive both business impact and meaningful user value.
Come learn. Come support. Come get inspired.
Refreshments and bites will be provided.
And maybe next time… you’ll be on stage.
