[Arnhem] English Subs: The Secret Agent
#This meetup is around a third-party organizer (Focus Filmtheater): you can either purchase your ticket online or right before the session#
**Title**: The Secret Agent
**Language**: Portuguese
**Subtitles**: English
**Length**: 158 min
**Director**: Kleber Mendonça Filho
**More info**: https://www.focusarnhem.nl/agenda/english-subs-the-secret-agent/
**Ticket link**: https://www.focusarnhem.nl/tickets/141175/
**Synopsis**:
*The Secret Agent* is a tense political thriller from director Kleber Mendonça Filho (Bacurau, Aquarius), who brings a tumultuous period in Brazilian history to life in his latest work. Through various storylines, he depicts a country entangled in violence, corruption, and vendettas, a turbulent 1970s carefully constructed from his own memories, family histories, and archival material.
Brazil, 1977. Marcelo, a technology expert and widower, is on the run. As the military dictatorship continues to enforce increasingly cruel measures on the population, he arrives in Recife, where he hopes to reunite with his young son. There, during carnival week, he finds shelter with a group of like-minded people and assumes a false identity. But Marcelo’s situation is trickier than he realizes: he soon discovers that the city is far from the peaceful refuge he is looking for.
With a mix of film styles—suspense, humor, and even a touch of horror—*The Secret Agent* isn’t just a gripping movie, but also a snapshot of our times, in which the highly acclaimed Mendonça Filho offers a keen analysis of Brazil’s past and present. The international film community also recognises that *The Secret Agent* gets under your skin: it was the most awarded film at Cannes (Best Director, Best Actor), ended up on many ‘best of’ lists and is still in the running for several Oscar categories, partly because of the phenomenal acting of lead actor Wagner Moura.
**How it works**:
I will be at Focus around 18:30, where we can meet before the movie starts. You can message me to find us. Screening starts at 19:00. After the movie, we can have a drink together.
Hope to see you soon!

Turning Cross-Functional Collaboration into Product Results
Hi Product People,
We are happy to invite you to our next event hosted together with Uber.
In this ProductTank meetup, we’ll explore how great products succeed when talented teams collaborate effectively, especially when challenges arise. Strong product outcomes are built at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Design, and Data—and why the best teams aren’t the ones that agree all the time, but the ones that know how to disagree well.
IMPORTANT: after RSVP, please [register via this link](https://pages.beamery.com/uber/page/uber-producttank-meetup) to attend the event.
ABOUT THE TALKS
**Beyond Agreement: Why Product Teams Win by Disagreeing Well**
High-performing product teams do not move fast because they always agree. They move fast because they know how to disagree well.
In this talk, [Jesse Choo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jessechoo/) will share how healthy conflict can actually make teams faster. Drawing on his experience in high-growth companies, Jesse will walk through real examples where Product and Engineering disagreed on scope, trade-offs, or product direction, and how leaning into those moments led to better decisions, stronger trust, and quicker delivery.
About the speaker: Jesse Choo is a Senior Product Manager at Bitvavo who has worked across SaaS, gaming, marketplaces, and fintech. He enjoys working at the intersection of Product and Engineering and sharing practical lessons on how teams can move faster and ship better with actual business impact through stronger collaboration and clearer decision-making.
**Panel Discussion: What Makes a PM Stand Out**
In this cross-functional panel, senior leaders from Uber, representing engineering, design, data science, and product, will share their perspectives on what great product managers do differently. From setting clear direction to making thoughtful trade-offs and leading without formal authority, the discussion offers real, experience-based insights into the skills, behaviors, and mindsets that elevate good PMs into exceptional ones.
Panelists:
[Noam Ben Haim](https://www.linkedin.com/in/noambenhaim/), Director Product, Payments, Uber
[Omer Bigger](https://www.linkedin.com/in/omer-bigger-92b6a195/), Director, Engineering, Uber

* Hands-on met agentic development concepten:
* Memory bestanden (AGENTS.md) die je AI context en geheugen geven
* skills die gedrag voorspelbaar en herhaalbaar maken
* Sub-agents die complexe taken autonoom oppakken
**Waarom meedoen?**
**The Ai-Team**
**Jeroen Gordijn**
**Jeroen Dee**
**Doelgroep**
**Programma**
17:30 Ontvangst en eten
18:30 De workshop: Agentic Development in actie (mix: presentatie en praktisch)
20:30 Q&A
21:00 Afsluiting met een borrel

Build a working product with AI in one day together with other creators
**RSVP** \- https://luma\.com/wemxq86m
You've got ideas. Maybe it's an MVP for your startup. Maybe it's a tool that would make your life easier. Maybe you're just curious what you can actually build with AI.
The problem? Developers are expensive or booked for months. Online courses take forever. YouTube tutorials get you stuck on step 3.
**This workshop gets you unstuck.**
Bring an idea. Build it with other people in the room. Leave with something that actually works.
**Who this is for:**
🚀 Founders trying to ship without hiring a tech team
✨ Product managers looking for ways to enhance their workflow and speed up experimentation
🎨 Designers who want to build, not just design
🔍 Anyone exploring what's possible with AI
💬 If you can describe what you want to build, you can do this workshop.
**About the Hosts**
[Dmitrii (Dima) Abramov](https://www.linkedin.com/in/abramovdima/) - [Lovable ](https://lovable.dev/)🫶 **Ambassador, Amsterdam** ❌❌❌
**Dima is** Product Lead @Foundever and creator of the Vibe Coding community in Amsterdam. He helps people turn ideas into testable prototypes through strong discovery, rapid prototyping, and AI-assisted building. As a Lovable Ambassador, he hosts events that help builders learn, build, and ship with AI.
**The real story**
Yes, there are thousands of tutorials online. Yes, you can find answers anywhere. But here's what the internet can't give you: other creators in the room, working alongside you, wrestling with the same problems, laughing at the same bugs, and solving things *together*.
**What happens here**
You'll spend real time collaborating and working on shared problems or your own challenges, in a creative environment with people who get it. You'll publish something (yes, even if it's broken). You'll see that coding isn't magic, it's just problem-solving. And you'll meet people who are doing the same messy, real work you are.
* **Here is a format**:
* **60 mins:** Strategic foundation
* **60 mins:** Vibe coding sprint - build with [Lovable](https://www.google.com/url?q=https://lovable.dev/&sa=D&source=calendar&ust=1771764043025293&usg=AOvVaw0OSzSgQq4YWO6EkGcjSLJ8) + product principles
* **60 mins:** Honest debrief - what worked, what failed, why
* **30 mins:** 1v1 Q&A (we can have Q&A session any time during the day and after the workshop)
Bring curiosity. Bring your questions. Bring your broken code. That's what we're here for.
**You'll leave with:**
**A deployed prototype that people can actually use**
Share the link. Get feedback. Show your stakeholders. Test with real users. It's live, it works, and it's yours.
**Practical knowledge you'll use immediately**
How to build features, debug issues, and iterate without developers. This workshop teaches you how to fish, not just gives you one prototype.
**Access to Amsterdam's 500-person builder community**
Regular meetups, troubleshooting help, project feedback, and people who get what you're building. The workshop ends, but the community continues.
**The realisation that you can actually do this**
Most people leave surprised by how much they built in a few hours. That feeling changes how you approach ideas going forward.

* **Application required** \- we look for committed participants to explore the future of product building with AI
* **Tools:** We’ll guide you, but you need access to use AI Tools.
💡 **Supercharged with [Lovable](https://lovable.dev/):** all participants will receive 100 Lovable credits (1 month of Pro Plan) to use during the workshop.
🐺🛕 Pyramid of Austerlitz Loop via Groote Heidestein (20 km)
We’re heading into the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug for a beautiful loop hike starting and ending at station Driebergen Zeist.
From the station we quickly enter the wide open heather fields of Groote Heidestein, with heather fields, sandy paths, and a wonderfull spacious feeling. We follow these open landscapes all the way to the forests surrounding the Pyramid of Austerlitz.
After about 10 kilometers we take a well deserved break at the pyramid. You can grab a snack or drink there, or enjoy your own packed lunch. This is the area where the famous wolf Bram once roamed and made the news. The situation has since settled, so the coast is clear again, but it adds a touch of wild history to the landscape.
From here we loop back towards Driebergen Zeist through landgoed Heidestein. This section is full of surprises, including narrow passages and small tunnels that make the walk feel playful and slightly adventurous.
We finish back at station Driebergen Zeist, completing a varied and scenic hike through one of the most beautiful parts of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
**📍When and where to meet?**
We’ll meet at 10h30 under the tracks of train station Driebergen Zeist.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/JdRccArNqxzvFb6U8
⏰ We **start walking a few minutes after meeting up** — we don’t wait for latecomers, as the forest calls and daylight is short this time of year.
**🚗 Coming by car?**
You can park here but please also do your own research: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WSMa4XaaP7U5awwf8
**⏸️ Planned Breaks**
After 10 km: Lunch break at Pyramid of Austerlitz (Speeltuin & Restaurant)
https://maps.app.goo.gl/XKazfvaa24VvWrq66
**💸 Payment**
Please pay as soon as you sign up: To keep things fair for everyone, if we don’t receive your payment within 48 hours, we will need to remove you from the participant list. If there’s a waiting list, this will happen sooner (in less than 48 hours). If that happens, no worries — you’re always welcome to sign up again if there’s space.
🌟 Early Bird Deal! Join now for just €4 — available for 3 days (72h). After that, the price will be €5.
The event is full, so the payment link has been removed.

Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
*Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit: From Intent to Implementation*
Spec-driven development flips the traditional workflow on its head: instead of code being the source of truth, the specification becomes the backbone of design, collaboration, and delivery. In this session, we’ll explore how GitHub Spec-Kit enables teams to treat specifications as first-class artifacts—living documents that drive architecture, implementation, and verification.
You’ll learn how Spec-Kit helps teams clearly express intent using structured, version-controlled specs that live alongside code. We’ll walk through a practical workflow that starts with defining system behavior and constraints, then progressively refines those specs into testable, automatable outcomes. Along the way, we’ll show how specs can reduce ambiguity, improve cross-functional collaboration, and make design decisions explicit before a single line of production code is written.
This talk will cover:
--What spec-driven development is (and what it isn’t)
--How GitHub Spec-Kit fits into modern developer workflows
--Using specs to align product, engineering, and AI-assisted development
--Real-world examples of turning specs into implementations with confidence
Whether you’re building greenfield systems, integrating AI into your stack, or trying to reduce costly rework, spec-driven development offers a scalable way to move faster without sacrificing clarity. Attendees will leave with concrete patterns and a clear mental model for adopting GitHub Spec-Kit in their own projects.

Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that.
