Hello dear tennis enthusiast. Every Friday morning we meet up for our “Adult tennis group sessions” in Zurich. It is open for both women and men. You will train in groups of max 4 players per 1 court Level: 11am - Medium Level Group Fee : 70 CHF per person (all included) Monthly payments are preffered, this way you have guaranteed booked slot for the whole month. We train on nice clay courts at TA Frauental during the summer and winter season. XX wieku. Jej twórca, psychiatra i terapeuta Alexander Lowen inspirował się klasyczną psychoanalizą Freuda i w oparciu o prace Wilhelma Reicha stworzył własną szkołę terapii psychodynamicznej. W tej metodzie terapii łączymy rozmowę z uważnością na sygnały z ciała oraz wyrażaniem emocji przez ruch i ekspresję. Metoda jest stale rozwijana i unowocześniana, czerpie m.in. z teorii przywiązana, wiedzy o systemie nerwowym czy traumie. Poza indywidualną terapią popularne są również grupy i warsztaty ćwiczeń lowenowskich. Mają one charakter rozwojowy i mogą być stosowane przez osoby zdrowe a także uzupełniająco przez osoby w terapii “mówionej” (po uzgodnieniu z terapeut/ką). **Twoja prowadząca:** Anka Grzywacz jest doradczynią bioenergetyczną (metody Lowena) SGfBA, po dwuletnim szkoleniu w Niemczech. Leiden Sie unter einem oder mehreren der folgenden Symptome? 🌿 Traurigkeit und Energielosigkeit 🌿 Überforderung und Stress 🌿 Schlafstörungen Probieren Sie somatische Übungen aus, um den Kopf freizukriegen und Ihre Emotionen zu regulieren! Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um ein Fitnessprogramm, sondern um eine Körper-Geist-Übung. Bioenergetische Übungen wurden in den 1950er Jahren von dem Psychiater und Therapeuten Alexander Lowen erfunden, der von der klassischen Psychoanalyse beeinflusst war, aber das Gefühl hatte, dass etwas fehlte – der Körper. Der Körper reagiert auf Stress und Traumata mit Anspannung, die sogar schmerzhaft sein kann. Wir fühlen uns steif und von unseren Gefühlen getrennt, sogar taub. Die Bewegungen sind einfach und sollen Ihnen helfen, Ihre Gefühle zu verstehen und zu regulieren. Dadurch können Sie besser mit Stress, Angst oder schlechter Stimmung umgehen. Nehmen Sie mit mir am nächsten Workshop für bioenergetische Übungen in Zürich teil! Wir treffen uns in einem gemütlichen Studio in der Nähe des Bahnhofs Triemli. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf 7 Personen begrenzt. Dieses Seminar findet in Hochdeutsch statt. Sie erhalten eine Stunde Theorie plus zwei Stunden sanfte Übungen und Gruppendiskussionen. Betrachten Sie es als einen Workshop zum Aufbau Ihrer eigenen mentalen Belastbarkeit, den Sie in Momenten der Traurigkeit, Überforderung oder Stress nutzen können. **Hinweis:** Wenn Sie in der Vergangenheit psychotische Episoden hatten oder Schwierigkeiten haben, mit Wut umzugehen, ist der Workshop möglicherweise nicht das Richtige für Sie. Welcome to the Competitive Play Session. This session takes place every Saturday from 10:45 to 12:15 at the Yonex Badminton Hall Hardbrücke. The number of players on the waitlist one week in advance determines the number of courts booked. If you are on the waitlist but can no longer attend, please remove yourself as early as possible. Players are accepted into the session based on skill suitability. This session is for experienced players looking for quality games. Play is focused on doubles with a competitive mindset and consistent rallies. You should be comfortable smashing, return smashes and keeping up a moderate tempo throughout the session. New players and those who are new to badminton are welcome to join the PM Session (Open Level Play). Payment can be made via TWINT after the session.

This group will have **two or three instructors**, making it possible to split the group depending on what interests and progress level each student has. Freestyle (tricks, jumps, rails, park) learned correctly minimizes risk, and avoids a lot of the worst falls early on if you get the right information and have someone to catch you on your first attempts. In this group we welcome people from different stages of progression, and focus on specific fundamentals starting from edge control and switch riding (For those less experienced with it) up to rails and boxes in the park (for those less experienced in park). This is a 'more feedback' style of group, where things will go slower so that you can systematically repeat the fundamentals. You'll have the option to practice either in the park or on the slopes. To make the most of it, please enjoy the group dynamic where we stay close together, and choose certain adaptations on the fundamentals to practice together. ### Prerequisites * At a minimum, you should at least be comfortable with 'breaking' turns (i.e. turning then slowing down, then the next turn and slowing down again, and so on). * To participate in park, you should have solid edge control (for example, be able to handle flat sections by holding an edge).

Wie ist es möglich, im Alltag frohsinnig sein zu können und zuversichtlich durchs Leben zu gehen? Wie kann es sein, dass Menschen trotz – oder gerade wegen – vieler Aufgaben meistens beglückt und erfüllt von den vielen freundschaftlichen und erkenntnisreichen Erlebnissen zu Bett gehen? Sind das Glückspilze oder wie haben sie diese innere Haltung entwickeln können? Wie kann das eigentlich möglich sein, dass neugierige und weltoffene Säuglinge und Kleinkinder, weitgehend ohne erkennbare Stressgefühle und Freizeitwünschen wochen- und monatelang unaufhörlich motorisch schwierigste Kunststücke entwickeln, ständig neue Menschen in verschiedensten Gefühlslagen kennenlernen, unaufhörlich Gegen-stände mit Händen und Mund untersuchen, mit Krabbeln Muskelgruppen trainieren und mit grösstem Aufwand sprechen und laufen lernen? Anstatt gegen solche Zumutungen zu protestieren, zeigen sie Freude daran, wenn andere sich dabei mitfreuen. Warum gelingt es vielen schon bald nicht mehr, den Alltag mit Interesse und Frohsinn zu meistern und zuversichtlich durchs Leben zu gehen? Wie kommt es dazu, dass nach und nach so viele Ängste entstehen, sogar Stress- und Überforderungsgefühle, auch bei selbst gewählten Berufs- und Freizeitaktivitäten, ja sogar in der Kindererziehung, in Freund- und Partnerschaften? Dahinter stehen unverstandene Gefühlsüberzeugungen, maladaptive Lebensstrategien und Irrtümer in den Lebenszielen, was zu Selbstzweifeln, Unruhe, Rückzug und Nervosität führen kann. **People Analytics 101: Making Sense of Compensation Data** Compensation data is one of the most widely used and widely misunderstood forms of people analytics. The session will cover where compensation data comes from, including market pricing data, internal payroll data, and benchmarking sources, and how companies think about structuring and analyzing that information. We will explore how compensation data is leveraged to set salary ranges, manage internal equity, support hiring and retention, and align pay with business strategy. A portion of the session will address common data challenges and limitations, such as market noise, inconsistent job matching, and incomplete datasets, while keeping the primary focus on practical use rather than technical depth. The session will also look ahead at where the space is going, including the growing impact of pay transparency laws, expanding pay equity requirements, and emerging regulations in the US and Europe that require organizations to report on gender and pay gaps. The goal is to give attendees a clear mental model for how compensation analytics works today and why getting it right is becoming increasingly critical. Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime! Philosophy of Friendship: What are the bases of "friendship"?
As you may or may not know--I didn't until late last year--Aristotle wrote extensively on "friendship" in the Nicomachean Ethics. After 69 years the concept of friendship still creates questions and uncertainty. I had close friends in high school and for a few years after high school but our interests diverged and people moved all over the country so it was hard to maintain connections. * So if I/you haven't talked with a friend for several years, are you still friends? Are we friends who meet at Drunken Philosophy or Omnipresent Atheists? * Can you be friends with someone with whom you have virulently divergent political views? Sartre and Camus could not. * Aristotle regarded friendship as essential to a good life, not merely an added "bonus." Do you agree? * In the Nicomachean Ethics (Books VIII and IX), he claims that wealth and power are meaningless without friends. Trump has wealth and power but seems to have no real friends, but wealth and power seem meaningful to him in perverted ways. Can you have meaning in your life without friends? * Do men and women view and maintain friendships in different ways? * Aristotle categorizes friendship into three types, based on what forms the bond: * **Utility**: Based on mutual benefit, but this type is fragile and ends when the usefulness ceases. * **Pleasure**: Based on shared enjoyment (e.g., humor, hobbies). Common among youth but fades as interests change. * **Virtue (The "Complete" Friendship)**: Based on mutual respect for each other's character and goodness. You wish good for the other for their sake, not yours. * **Key Principles of "True" (Virtuous) Friendship:** * **Permanence**: Virtuous friendships last a lifetime whereas those based on utility and pleasure are fleeting. * **Reciprocity**: Requires mutual goodwill; secret or unreciprocated affection does not qualify. * **The "Second Self"**: A true friend is "another self"—their virtue helps you understand and improve yourself. * **Time and Intimacy**: Deep ("complete") friendships are few, built on time and shared experiences. * **Self-Love and Friendship:** * Good friendship starts with being a friend to yourself. * They distinguish shallow egoism (chasing honors) from real self-love (pursuing virtue). * A virtuous person’s pleasant self-company allows them to be a stable, good friend to others. * Aristotle argues that one's social circle ultimately reflects one's character—a view with striking relevance today. Well--the Drunken Philosophy social circle certainly reflects good character!

Dale Gnidovec, Curator of the Orton Hall Museum of Geology at The Ohio State University, will be presenting a program he has wanted to share with us for a long time: Plate Tectonics. His description of his program: Continents on the move - Nothing in Earth history makes sense without moving continents - it tells us why mountains, volcanoes, minerals, and fossils are where they are. This talk examines the evidence for continental drift, why it was disbelieved, and explains how the more-encompassing theory of plate tectonics was developed and eventually proven. Dale is an energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and very entertaining speaker and this will be another wonderful program by Dale. Hope to see you there! Food and drinks will be provided at the event.
