We’re entering a phase where, if a tool doesn’t exist, or if the existing ones are simply too complicated, you just build the exact thing you need yourself.
No roadmap. No procurement cycle. No feature request backlog.
Just solve the problem.
Thanks to vibe-coding, building software is becoming accessible to the people who actually experience the friction. Instead of waiting months for a feature or adapting your workflow to a generic tool, you create something that fits your problem, your process, and your team.
Tools like Lovable make that possible. And this shift is bigger than it may seem.
This isn’t really about a waffle charts generator or poster tiling tools. It’s about what happens when building software on demand becomes normal.
When the people closest to the problem can create the solution, exactly when they need it.

Public transport is a fundamental service that should be available to everyone. But as services become increasingly digital, there is a real risk of excluding people who are less digitally confident, or have specific needs for using digital products. That’s why De Lijn implemented an “easy mode” within the existing app, a simplified interface that reduces complexity and makes key tasks more straightforward and intuitive.
In this talk, Sjoera will walk you through the design process from start to end, and share her learnings and challenges as a UX designer on this project.

Battleship Potemkin is considered one of the greatest films of all time. Russian director Sergei Eisenstein made this film at the request of the Soviet regime to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 1905 Revolution. He chose to centre the action on the mutiny that broke out aboard the Potemkin, the warship of the Imperial Russian Navy. Furious at being fed nothing but rotten food and suffering from the policy of terror of their superiors, the crew launched a full-scale insurrection during which a number of officers were thrown overboard. The mutinous soldiers then decided to set sail for the port city of Odessa...
What makes this film unforgettable are Eisenstein's experimental editing techniques and remarkably tight, highly aesthetic cinematography. The staircase scene has become iconic: it shows the massacre of ordinary people, amongst whom a mother walking with her child in a baby carriage, being mercilessly gunned down by the soldiers marching in cadence.

How does it work ?
• The events are open for beginner to advanced gamers. If you're new here they're the perfect gateway to discover what we do!

Debate Night: Sex Positivism
For much of modern history, conversations about sex have been shaped as much by silence as by expression. In many societies, desire was confined to narrow norms, regulated by religion, tradition, and law, leaving little room for individual agency or open discussion. The sexual liberation movements of the 20th century challenged these constraints, advocating for dismantling of stigma. What followed was a profound cultural shift: topics once considered taboo entered public discourse, and personal freedom in matters of intimacy became a widely embraced ideal.
Today, we find ourselves in a very different landscape, one where the boundaries of that freedom continue to expand and evolve. Norms are being renegotiated in real time, and practices once seen as fringe are increasingly visible, discussed, and, in some cases, normalized. This raises an important question: how do we assess the direction and impact of these changes? As society continues to redefine its relationship with sexuality, the line between liberation and excess becomes a subject of growing debate, one that invites us to reflect not just on where we came from, but on where we are headed.
This debate will follow a British Parliamentary format with eight debaters split into **four teams of two.**
Participants who wish to speak are highly encouraged to bring a paper and pen. You are welcome to participate even if you have no prior debating experience.
We aim for debates that are respectful, constructive, and welcoming:
* **Respect ideas and people** Listen actively, stay quiet while others speak, and debate arguments, not identities or beliefs.
* **Be concise and civil** Keep questions short and relevant; avoid hostility, hate speech, or discrimination.
* **Respect boundaries and time** No unwanted advances or suggestive behavior; arrive on time to avoid disrupting the debate.
* **Follow moderators** They guide the discussion and ensure fairness.

Silent Walk in the Forêt de Soignes
We will be walking through the forest for a little over 1 1/2 hours, silently, just noticing the world around us and inside us. The idea is to experience the magic of a different type of walking, The invitation is to slow down and notice what is going on inside you and around you.
Very often people experience a closer connection with nature and with self, with sometimes surprising insights.
*Please make sure you are fit enough to go the 4.5 km distance. We will be walking slowly, but we will not take any breaks.*
We will be meeting at the Hermann Debroux Metro at **14h**. (Exit straight ahead after leaving the platform--on the Loxam side).
If you RSVP as coming, please be on time. We will be starting our walk from there 5 min. after the hour sharp.
There is the renovated Maison de Prieur at the exit of the forest where we could gather for a drink or a meal after our walk, depending on what you feel like.

**Disclaimer**: in case less then 4 players join, this game will be replaced by *Castle Combo*.
The trick-taking game ***Tax the Rich*** features a deck depicting characters of various social ranks from the Poor to the President. Each round begins with a simple bidding phase to determine both the trump color and the number of tricks required to score bonus points. The winner of the bid must then acquire the required number of tricks, together with their ally.
The game is played as a trick-taking game in which the highest social ranks are the strongest cards. However, if at any time all remaining cards in your hand have a flag symbol, you may trigger a "revolution" by revealing your cards. This flips the social hierarchy upside down so that the lowest-ranked cards become the most powerful. Having called for a revolution, you stand publicly exposed, playing the rest of this round with your cards face up.

Ready for real conversations and genuine connections?
Join us for an intimate **BFF** **Speed Dating evening** designed for people who value **quality conversations over quick judgments**.
**Program Overview**
**18:30 Welcome & Warm-Up**
**Group Ice-Breaking Session**
Duration: **25–30 minutes**
* Participants are divided into **small groups of 4–6 people**
* Each round lasts **5 minutes**
* **5 rounds** in total
* Everyone briefly introduces themselves (name + a few fun prompts)
**19:00 One-to-One Friend Speed Dating**
**BFF Speed Conversations**
Duration: **45–60 minutes**
* Format: **1-to-1 conversations**
* Each conversation lasts **3 minutes**
* **15 rounds**
* Participants rotate after each round
**20:00 Connection Recall & Matching**
**Friend Match Selection (5 minutes)**
* Participants take a few minutes to reflect
* Each person writes down:
* Their **own name**
* The **names or numbers** of people they would like to connect with as friends
* Notes are collected by the host
After the event, **The host will match people only when the interest is mutual** and introduce them afterward.
**20:00 Free Networking Time**
**Open Social Time**
* Casual conversations
* Reconnecting with people you liked
* Drinks, laughter, and free-flow interactions

One does not simply build reports on OLTP data. Join us on an epic journey from the depths of raw, normalized tables to the shining halls of a well-modeled star schema fit for Power BI greatness. We will demystify the differences between OLTP and OLAP, walk through star schema vs snowflake (and why Power BI has a clear favorite), and show you the compression differences between normalized and columnar storage that will make you never look at an OLTP model the same way again.
We will cover the different types of dimensions, when to use them, and how to handle Slowly Changing Dimensions without losing your mind. You will leave knowing exactly how to identify a bad model, how to convert OLTP data into a clean star schema, and how to forge relationships that rule them all.
Whether you are a data wizard, a curious hobbit, or somewhere in between, your models will never be the same.

Arthouse Friday: THE DRAMA at the Drexel Theatre!
Join us as we get together for an Arthouse Movie Friday event to see the A24 dark comedy /romance / psychological-thriller, THE DRAMA! The film stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as a happily engaged couple whose relationship is challenged when one discovers unsettling truths about the other. Here are details, a trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: The film follows a happily engaged couple whose relationship is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails. The film comes from A24, is written/directed by Kristoffer Borgli stars Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates and Zoë Winters.
QUICK WORD OF WARNING: The film hasn’t screened for critics yet and most of the details are being kept tightly under wraps. But, early buzz (possibly promotional) says the film is a brilliant psychological thriller/romance but also provocative, twisty and some contains occasional uncomfortable viewing! I love the cast and trailer, so look forward to seeing for ourselves!
