Puzzle Fun - FREE
**Puzzle Fun** š§©ā
A relaxed and fun gathering for anyone who enjoys puzzles, mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and curious conversations.
The goal of this event is not just to solve problems, but to encourage the kind of thinking that creates independent mathematicians and deep problem-solvers.
The event is divided into two parts:
⢠Segment One: Puzzle & Problem-Solving Round
Weāll warm up with fun high-school-level maths problems, logic puzzles, Sudoku-style thinking, and other mathematical challenges. Feel free to bring your own puzzles, books, or favourite problems to share with the group! A scientific calculator may occasionally be useful.
⢠Segment Two (Optional): Logic & Proof-Writing
If enough brave souls are interested, weāll explore the strange and beautiful world of mathematical logic and proof-writing ā the foundation of higher mathematics. If not, weāll simply continue solving more puzzles and interesting problems together.
An online group will also be created for discussions, resources, and keeping track of what we cover, since mathematics is a subject that builds continuously over time.
Please bring:

**Late Backout & No-Show Policy**
**We strictly enforce our late backout and no-show rules to ensure smooth operations.** Organising replacements on short notice is difficult and disruptive, especially as our organisers have day jobs. Please be mindful of our policy:
* **RSVP Policy:** Please RSVP for sessions exclusively through the Meetup app. WhatsApp is mainly for regular updates on attendance, timings and last-minute changes. Any requests made via WhatsApp might not be considered for session sign-ups.
* **Late Backouts:** Backing out within 9 hours of the session is considered a late backout. You will be required to pay the session fee in full, even if a replacement is found.
* **No-Shows:** If you fail to show up without notice, you must still pay for the session.
* **Respect for the Organisers:** Our organisers finalise the list the night before or early morning. Last-minute changes mean they need to leave their work to arrange replacements. This affects not just the organisers but the overall experience of the players.
* **Waitlist Responsibility:** If you're on the waitlist and no longer wish to attend, itās your responsibility to remove your name. We assume that anyone on the waitlist still wants to join the session if a spot opens up.
* **First-Come, First-Serve Basis:** We ensure fairness by adhering to a first-come, first-serve system. Please do not ask for special treatment or last-minute slots outside of this.
**Note: Players may cancel without penalty up to 9 hours before the session. After this time, the session fee applies regardless of waitlist status. Please book and cancel responsibly to avoid disruptions for everyone involved.**

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Learning from Everyday Data
**Practical Curiosity: Learning from Everyday Data**
How do we actually get better at utilizing our day-to-day data? Fancy dashboards and complex models might look nice and draw attention, but thatās not where most of us spend our time. In fact those shiny outputs frequently sit unused, while the real insights are drawn from the analystās daily practice.
Sometimes itās as simple and as powerful as noticing that a segment is shrinking, a channel is underused, or certain links keep getting all the clicks. Thereās many different places that the spark of insight can come from, but you have to keep your head in the data and know where to look.
In this session, weāll explore real-world examples of how segmentation, testing, and click behavior can uncover practical digital marketing opportunities. Youāll leave with inspiration for your own use cases, along with a few simple ways to ask better questions, spot meaningful patterns, and make smarter decisions without overcomplicating it.
**About Our Speaker:**
[Elaine Armbruster](https://www.linkedin.com/in/elainearmbruster/) is a Director of Digital Experience at the [American Diabetes Association](https://diabetes.org/), where she focuses on using data and insights to create smarter, more effective digital experiences. A lifelong Columbus resident, she has built her career in email marketing and the broader digital user journey, and is finding she most enjoys working in the messy middle where systems, data, and big ideas donāt quite line up yet.

"Tusk Love" by Thea Guanzon
Come join us to discuss our July pick "Tusk Love" by Thea Guanzon!
Book description:
A merchantās daughter who yearns for adventure gets more than she bargained for when she falls for a broodingly handsome stranger in this saucy romantasy from the New York Times bestselling author of The Hurricane Wars.
āA true delight of a book! Spicy and heartfeltāthis one is a winner all around.āāKatee Robert, author of Neon Gods
As the daughter of an ambitious merchant, Guinevereās path has been predetermined: marry into a noble house of the Dwendalian Empire, raise her familyās station, and live quietly as a lordlingās obedient wife. But Guinevere longs for a life unbounded by expectations, for freedom and passion and adventure.
Those distant dreams become a sudden reality when her caravan is beset by bandits, leaving her guards slain and Guinevere stranded alone on the dangerous Amber Road. Her only chance of survival is to travel alongside Oskar, the aloof half-orc who saved her during the attack.
Unlike Guinevere, Oskarās path is not so set in stone. With his mother dead and his apprenticeship abandoned, all thatās left is a long, lonely walk to a land heās never seen to find family heās never met. The last thing he needs is a spoiled waif like Guinevere slowing him downāeven if the spark between them sizzles with promise.
Despite his cold exterior, Oskar is brave and thoughtful and unlike anyone Guinevere has ever met. And while Guinevere may be sheltered, she brings out a softness in him that he has never dared to feel before. As the flames of their passion grow, they realize that soon theyāll need to choose between their expected destinations or their blossoming romance.
Written by New York Times bestselling author Thea Guanzon at the behest of Critical Roleās Jester Lavorre, Tusk Love brings the most romantic story on Exandrian bookshelves to life.
