Core Body Boot Camp
Wake up. Work out. DONE!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KKltxVko4w
This is a core strength workout. We do boot camp style exercises, so think pushups, situps, planks, squats, burpees, etc. There's a lot of smiles and laughing involved, too... (and the high fives will come back as we leave the COVID era behind!)
Not sure how to do burpees? Pike jumps? Dragon Pushups? That's fine! We'll teach you. This is an awesome way to rock your body and get fit fast.
We welcome all fitness levels! Even if you have not worked out in years we want you to join us. Working out with fun, encouraging people in a group setting is better than trying to do this all on your own. EVERYBODY IS WELCOME!
Coffee Lovers go to Trivia Night!
Join the coffee lovers as we head to Twin Elephant Brewing Co in Chatham, NJ for trivia! There will be elephant, beer, music, themed questions mixed into current events, geography, movies, TV etc. There will also be Twin elephant related topics such as history and beer questions.
Unfortunately the brewery asks for the teams to be capped at 6 people - we may need to form 2-3 teams if we get a large group of attendees. 5 rounds of questions with a final round.
You may order / bring food to the brewery; sometimes there is a food truck present on site. Parking is available on site. See you soon!
KNITTING AND CROCHETING TOGETHER
Join our community knitting and crocheting event every Wednesday 6:30-8:30. Bring a project or start a new one.
Knitting needles & yarn available for a one-time fee of $12
Walk-ins always welcome!

Come grab a cup of coffee and meet new people, share stories, find collaborators, talk about everything tech, talk about everything NOT tech, take a break from job applications, get away from the computer screen, make connections, make conversation, **make friends!**
**Agenda:**
**2pm:** Doors open, networking starts
**2:30pm:** Intro circle
**3pm:** networking continues
**5pm:** event ends
**The Intro Circle**
**Near the beginning of the event (about 2:30 pm), we will do a standup in a circle:**
We first talk about organizer announcements, updates, and logistics. Then we go around the circle where each person says:
* your name and job title/ role in tech/ tech stack,
* What you can help others with,
* What you would like help with,
* Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool.

This class will explore the social dance aspect of Hip-Hop focusing on rhythms, foundation, culture, and choreography. The class starts off with a warm-up by stretching out the body, followed by exercises and drills, focusing on groove, musicality, freestyle, and sometimes some history of Hip-Hop culture. The most important aspect of this class is DANCE, learning or relearning how to dance and take a dance class, in opposition to only executing Hip-Hop steps, and choreographies. Angel will support you to focus on yourself, your groove, your musicality, and your ability to move your body. This class is suitable for beginners and dance enthusiasts, as well as professionals and more advanced dancers who are looking to just vibe and enjoy a fun class!

National Margarita Day Ride
**Intro:** On Sunday Feb 22, we will be celebrating National Margarita Day 2026. This tradition dates back to February 22 2009 for passionate fans of the drink that wanted it during the winter. That tradition is celebrated around the nation and BromptonNYC will do the same. Expect a nice day of social adventure cycling ending with food and drinks.
**Meetup:** We will meet in front of the Maine Monument in Central Park, by Columbus Circle. This is the large fountain at the corner where Central Park West and South meet. Please be on time as wheels up is 11:15am. We will not wait for anyone and you will be responsible for catching up.
**The Ride:** This ride will be classified at the intermediate level. Although there is not much elevation, riders should be comfortable riding in an urban environment and along traffic at certain sections. Although not the longest ride, we will have two points of interests along the way. The first will be Rykers Island. Yes, we will stop just outside Rykers Island. The second will be at LGA Airport for a restroom break. For those that seek a little adventure and off the beaten path, well you found it.The distance is around 15 miles. The ride will terminate at Coatzingo. Train service is available to the city across the street.
You can view the route below
[https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53705270](https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53705270)

The price will be $20USD per person which includes a Margarita and choice of 2 tacos. The venue prefers cash as it's easier for their operation. Their ATMs located nearby.

Randall's Island Waterfront Loop Walk - New Members Welcome!
New to the Appalachian Mountain Club? Looking to connect with other folks who love getting outdoors? Come meet new AMC friends on a walk around Randalls Island!
Explore the beauty of the city by walking a circuit around Randalls and Wards Islands. Enjoy the river views, bridge views, and extraordinary Manhattan and Queens skylines. My favorite experience is walking across the Salt Marshes and under the Hell Gate Bridge .
We'll walk at a leisurely pace on paved terrain for about 5 miles with little elevation gain, stopping at points of interest. Wear comfortable walking shoes and warm clothes in case a cold wind blows across the water.
If you are new to the AMC, this is a great starter event! New and existing members, as well as prospective members are welcome!!
Meet at 11:00am at the Randalls Island side of the 103rd Street pedestrian bridge. If you're coming from Manhattan, you're welcome to join the leaders at 10:30am on the Manhattan side of the 103rd Street bridge (and and Bobby Wagner Walk). Randalls Island can also be reached by pedestrian walkways along the RFK Bridge crossings, as well as the M60 SBS and M35 buses from Harlem.
