The Connection Table: Food, Culture & Community @PunjabHaus
**A night of culture, connection, and community in the heart of Berlin**
Hey everyone,
We welcome you all to **Punjab Haus**, a cozy and spacious Indian restaurant on Meraner Str., and we've always believed that **food** has this incredible power to **bring** **people together**.
That’s why we are hosting this — not just as a dinner or a party, but as a chance for people from **different backgrounds, countries, and walks of life** to come together, share stories, laugh, and feel part of something warm and real.
Whether you’ve just moved to Berlin, you’ve been here for years, or you're just passing through — we’d love to invite you to our **first community night of the summer**.
***
### 🌍 What’s the vibe?
Think of it like a big living room with chai, music, and good people.
Some will come to meet new friends.
Some just want to relax and have a drink.
Some might talk about travel, music, love, life — whatever flows.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to be anything.
Just come as you are.
***
### 🫶 What we’ll have:
* A warm, welcoming space (indoor & outdoor)
* Delicious **Indian Food** + drinks (non-alcoholic too)
* Background music, chill lighting, and soft vibes
* Open tables for conversations — or quiet corners if you just want to take it in
* Hosts (including us) to welcome you & help you feel at home
***
### 📍 Details
🗓 **Every Saturday**
🕖 **19:00 till 1:30**
📌 **Punjab Haus – Meraner Str. 20B, 10825 Berlin**
💳 **Card and accepted**
🎟️ **Free entry – but please support by ordering food/drinks** 🙏
***
### 🔔 A few things to know:
* This is a **safe, respectful space** — all identities, backgrounds, and energies welcome
* **No pressure to mingle** — talk, chill, dance, or just observe
* We may take a few photos for our page — if that’s not okay, just tell us (no problem at all)
***
We hope this is the start of something beautiful — a space where culture, connection, and kindness come together.
Looking forward to meeting you 🧡

Weihnachts-Bibelseminar: Die wahre Bedeutung von Weihnachten
*Please scroll down for English*
* Was ist daran tatsächlich biblisch?
* Was ist gewachsene Tradition?
* die neugierig sind,
* die Fragen haben
* oder die Weihnachten aus einer biblischen und geistlichen Perspektive betrachten möchten.
**Programm**
17.30: Einlass
18.00: Vortrag
19.00: Austausch mit Buffet
\*\*\*\*\*\*
Christmas is widely understood as a Christian celebration and is often observed with great familiarity. At the same time, many questions arise again and again:
* What about Christmas is truly biblical?
* What has developed over time as tradition?
Our **Christian women’s group** warmly invites you to a special **Christmas Bible Seminar** that intentionally creates space for such questions.
This seminar does not aim to evaluate or criticize traditions. Instead, we want to take a closer look together:
* What does the Bible say about the birth of Jesus?
* What is the spiritual message at the heart of Christmas, independent of customs or calendar dates?
A guest preacher will share an input on the topic **“The True Meaning of Christmas.”** This event is open to everyone
* who is curious,
* who has questions,
* or who would like to explore Christmas from a biblical and spiritual perspective.
In an open and respectful atmosphere, there will be time for listening, reflection, and asking questions.
**Program**
5:30 p.m.: Doors open
6:00 p.m.: Lecture
7:00 p.m.: Networking and buffet
@ Anna Blume - A cozy book swap and chat meetup!
The "classic" bookswap is simple:
* We meet in a café and put the book(s) we brought down on the tables.
* We browse and discuss the books with one another while sipping coffee or hot chocolate, or eating cake.
* We write our names down on any books we’d like to take home (post-its and pens provided).
* At the end of the evening, negotiate any books that are contended and take a new-to-you book home!
Books/happiness shared are books/happiness multiplied! A Bookswap is 10 times better than a Book Club because you can talk about ALL the books instead of just one!
This is a great way to give your books a new home and make room for new books: that book you feel guilty for not having read even though it's been sitting on your bedside table for the last 5 years, the book you liked but didn't love, the book you loved so much you want everyone to read it, the book you somehow own three copies of, that book you absolutely hated even though everyone else loves it, and so on.
Moreover, you will meet fellow readers, get a new book or two, and several book recommendations. We’ve often had readers experience books they wouldn't normally buy and enjoy it.
GROUP EXPECTATIONS for PLEASANT SWAPPING
* Please bring a book! It's not that you bring one you take one, but do try your best to bring something.
* Books stay on the tables, open for sharing, until you are ready to leave so that everyone can have a look. We are notably not first come first serve. Please wait until you are leaving to bag the book.
* If two or more people want the only copy of a book, negotiate. Maybe one of you reads it first and then gives it to the others. Or perhaps they have found another book instead. Or leave it to fate and toss a coin. The best part: now you have found somebody whose taste you can really admire. In any case, please don't walk away with a book with several names on it without letting the others know.
These negotiations are fun and easy, so don't shy away from a book because there's already a name on it, and feel free to put your name on as many books as you find interesting. It's not that you bring one you take one; you may take as many as you can negotiate.
* Political discussions with consent: make sure the people you are talking to would like to have a political discussion with you.
* Please respect this space as first and foremost a community for connecting readers over their love of books and reading, stories, and narratives of all sorts. Please be respectful of tastes and opinions.
* If something is bothering you, please reach out to the organisers, and we'll do our best to resolve it.
* Lastly, don't expect your book back. It will find a new home. If you love it, let it go.
Major LANGUAGES (and genres) of this meetup: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian; Fiction, Non-Fiction, Serious Reading, Light Fun, “classics", Krimis, Booker winners, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Self-Help and more. You never know who can read what languages, and there's no accounting for taste.
We are a delightful and international group of readers.
We look forward to swapping with you
Was hat uns angesprochen?
Was irritiert oder widerspricht uns?
Wo bleiben Fragen offen?
Sprache: Deutsch

Consent / Learning about boundaries and communication

**Embodied Consent**
**Learning about boundaries and communication**
Being aware of your boundaries and expressing your consent or non-consent are essential skills in life, but we don’t often get a chance to actually practice consent skills in the same way we practice other skills, like singing, playing sports or learning a language.
Consent is about much more than a simple yes or no. When we deconstruct consent, we discover how to communicate our true desires and stop choosing the things we don’t. Through discussion, movement and partner games, we will build tools to express and negotiate physical desires and set boundaries through the use of practical exercises. This workshop is inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all body sizes, genders, and background.
This is a non-sexual workshop, and great, low pressure situation in which to practice communication and touching. It’s as much about how to truly say yes and mean it as it is about saying no!
If you’ve not yet taken a consent workshop at the village, now is the time! This experience will not only help you navigate within the we.are.village community, but it will also equip you to carry these values into your life. Together, we aim to nurture a consent-centered community with shared values, emphasizing individual responsibility in upholding these principles. Our ultimate goal is to foster healthy relationships and create an inclusive community for a better, more connected future.
**General Information**
* **Registration**: max. 18 participants with mandatory registration **[through our website](https://wearevillage.org/en/shop/embodied-consent/w51-2025)**. Limiting the number of participants is necessary to ensure the quality of the process.
* **Language**: This workshop is conducted in German.
To ensure a better understanding of the subject, it is led alternately by a German-speaking teacher and an English-speaking teacher. Please select the workshop that best suits your language needs.

**[Free event with registration](https://wearevillage.org/shop/men50plus/w51-2025)**
Queer people over 50 face a range of challenges in a society shaped by youth, physical attractiveness, and heteronormativity.
Even within the queer community, there can be ageism, where older individuals are seen as less relevant or interesting. A lack of family structures or close friends can also lead to isolation in midlife.
In this group, you’ll meet like-minded people who are also navigating the challenges of getting older.
Here, we support and empower one another, share our experiences, and learn from each other. Together, we want to embrace the challenges of aging — and enjoy life to the fullest!

#### Leben in Farbe: Queer und selbstbewusst mit 50+
#####

Saturday Afternoon Coffee and Talk
Welcome to our little Saturday weekly meetup — a warm, welcoming spot where coffee, board games and good conversation bring people together. Each week we gather at a local café to laugh, chat, make new friends, and play everything from classics to party-games.
We believe a great coffee + good company + a dash of friendly competition can build real friendships and a sense of community. Whether you’re new in town, looking to meet like-minded people, or just want a fun excuse to get out, you’re always welcome — no pressure, no pretence, just good vibes.
If you’re after a relaxed space to unwind, connect and roll some dice (or shuffle cards), come join us. You might leave with a handful of new friends — and a full coffee cup.

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
