Evening temps on Wednesday may slip back into the 70's on Wednesday, so let's do a 3.6 mile Rock Creek jaunt near Boundary Bridge. We will start on the Western Ridge Trail, go over the 150' hill, cross the river and come back along the Valley Trail. While the first part has two hills, the second part is essentially flat. We will meet at the Meadowbrook Park Pavilion in Chevy Chase, which should have plenty of parking along the baseball field. Be sure to leave enough time to battle traffic and find parking. We will leave promptly at 6:15, so that we can be back at our cars at least 20 minutes before sunset. The parade begins at 3pm at 14th & T Streets NW. I don't know what time they will make it down the route to the K St area, but we will try to be there at 2:15 to secure some prime viewing spots! Bring stools or chairs for yourself, if you want. If up at the street is too crowded for you, bring a blanket and hang further back. We just want to spend the day with our friends and community.
