Binge Eating and Bulimia Recovery – Women Support Group in Berlin
Binge Eating and Bulimia Recovery – Women Support Group in Berlin
**\>\> Please note that the event's location will be sent to you once you RSVP <<** Hey, I’m Annabelle, and I’m a recovering bulimic. I struggled with bulimia for 15 years, and I’ve always wished there was a space where I could talk about it openly, without judgment, without shame, just honesty, support, and people who *get it*. People who are also on this journey. People who want to heal and figure out who they are beyond bulimia. So, I decided to create that space. **What is this group about** * A space where you can talk about your **binge eating or bulimia** without feeling judged. * A space to reconnect with yourself — the *you* that exists beyond the eating disorder. * A space for support and real connection with people who are going through (or have been through) the same thing. * A place to share your wins *and* your hard days, and be met with encouragement and support. **What to expect** * Journaling prompts, discussions, games, readings from ED-related literature, meditations, and more. * Deeper conversations — not just about the ED, but about who you are underneath it all. **Who is this for?** * **This group is open to women who are struggling with binge eating or bulimia and *want to recover.*** **What this *isn't*** * This is not therapy. I’m not a therapist and won’t be giving advice on nutrition, exercise, or anything medical. * This is not a place to talk about numbers, weight, calories, or daily food habits. * This is not a place to give unsolicited advice. If someone asks for support, great — but advice will only be shared if it’s asked for. * This is *definitely* not a space that promotes or glorifies eating disorders. **A bit about me** I’m 33, I live in Berlin, and I have a very eclectic taste in music — but I always come back to Nightwish. When I’m not reading memoirs or self-help books, you’ll usually find me looking for a new café around the city or walking in the forest or a park. Some of my favorite podcasts include *The Rich Roll Podcast*, *How I Built This*, *We Can Do Hard Things*, and *The School of Greatness.* I’m a certified life coach, and I’m passionate about guiding people to unlock their own truth and remove the mental blocks that hold them back from pursuing their purpose. Right now, I’m writing a weekly blog called *Life Beyond Bulimia*, which you can find on my Substack. **Before you sign up** The location of this group will be revealed once you RSVP. While the space is kindly provided to us for free, we are asked to contribute 1€ per person per meeting (including myself). There's an online version of this group, to see the dates and register, visit [this link. ](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1820313028269?aff=oddtdtcreator) To make sure everyone is heard, the meetings will be limited to 10 people at a time. Can’t wait to meet you! Until then, know that you are stronger than you think. 🌹 Annabelle
Meetup #12 — Remaking the welfare state
Meetup #12 — Remaking the welfare state
A welfare state takes responsibility for its people and supports them when in need. When costs are rising, but budgets aren’t, government needs to find efficiency gains to maintain social protection levels. A government-commissioned report recently recommended ways to modernise social and welfare services, making them more people-friendly and less bureaucratic. Meanwhile, small and large projects are underway to make benefits services more fair and easier to navigate, and to make the state overall more equitable. At our March meetup, we will hear about what a modern, digitally transformed welfare state looks like. We will welcome the following speakers: * Florian Theissing, Agora Digitale Transformation * Björn Mohr, Technologiestiftung Berlin * Anja Mayr & Jakob Häußermann, DigitalService des Bundes CityLAB Berlin hosts the event in their stunning 1920s space, a former airport building. All presentations will be given in English. Questions in the later discussion part can be raised either in English or German. Pictures and videos will be taken.
Building Self-Improving CI/CD and Optimizing Performance at Superhuman
Building Self-Improving CI/CD and Optimizing Performance at Superhuman
Join us on **March 25** to learn how the **Superhuman Engineering team is building a CI/CD system that learns, adapts, and gets faster over time**. ✅ **To attend the event**, please **register** **on Luma**: https://luma.com/loqydsym Please note that **only guests with a confirmed Luma registration will be admitted**. Due to limited capacity, we won’t be able to accommodate attendees who haven't registered. Most teams treat their CI/CD pipeline as infrastructure that “just works”—until it doesn’t. Three Superhuman engineers share how they combined AI-driven automation, test-strategy overhauls, and infrastructure migration to build a pipeline that not only runs but also continuously improves itself. 🚀 [Dushan Terzikj](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dushanterzikj/) will share concrete examples of how the Grammarly Inkwell team reduced CI pipeline flakiness and duration—from parallelizing unit tests and migrating to Storybook, to switching from dedicated macOS runners to on-demand Kubernetes runners. Attendees will walk away with practical, actionable techniques to make their own pipelines faster and more reliable. 🚀 [Timo Fink](https://www.linkedin.com/in/fink-timo/) will explain how Superhuman incorporated AI agents into their CI pipelines to develop a Self-Healing system. You will learn how we leverage Claude Code to automatically audit the reliability of our test suite and proactively suggest and prepare improvements for human review. 🚀 Darek Komosinski will show how his team exposes structured performance trace data to AI to automatically detect issues and surface actionable fixes. You will learn how combining rule-based analyzers with an AI summarization layer turns thousands of raw traces into a concise, prioritized report without manual triage. **About the speakers**: 🔈 **Dushan Terzikj** is a Software Engineer at Superhuman Platform Inc., where he works on the Superhuman browser extension—formerly the Grammarly browser extension—which serves more than 40 million monthly active users. He has also worked on a platform supporting the browser extension, where his team’s main goal was to deliver an outstanding developer experience. 🔈 **Timo Fink** is a Software Engineer at Superhuman Platform Inc., where he works on the Grammarly for Windows application. Grammarly for Windows, now part of the Superhuman suite, is the trusted AI writing partner for turning scattered thoughts into aligned, impactful communication. Timo has started to focus his efforts on developer experience, ensuring work can happen as fluidly as possible by removing recurring blockers like flaky pipelines. 🔈**Darek Komosiński** is a Software Engineer at Superhuman Platform Inc., where he works on the Grammarly for Windows application as a tech lead. He focuses on improving the performance of our apps (from observability to fixing issues) to make sure we can offer maximum value to users with minimal system impact. **Who should attend**: * Software engineers who want to apply AI-based tools to common developer experience problems * Technical leaders who want to offer their teams a new perspective on how to approach these challenges **Agenda:** ✨ 18:00–18:30: Check-in and networking ✨ 18:30–19:45: Talks ✨ 19:45–20:45: Mingle with our team

Painting Workshop - Oil Colors, Acrylics [Series of Works]
A 2.5 hours oil color - acrylics painting lesson. **About this course** This is a painting workshop with the goal of teaching people how to create paintings using either oil colors or acrylics. The total subject lessons consists of around **27 lessons** that last 2.5 hours each. You can join at any time during the course. On each lesson the first part will be about theory and exercise and the second one about canvas time. Each participant will have the chance to work on canvas and start making paintings as artworks. All materials are provided by us. Each lesson has a subject. We do not follow a particular order, and every lesson is actually unique and many times personalized. This means that every time the attendess will have to do something new and different. You do not have to paint on canvas and with the mentioned art materias, you can also choose to use any of your wish. Most of the observations and exercises work well with all art materials. It is suitable for beginners and or even professionals who want to rationalize the canvas painting process. It is being hosted by the visual artist [Miltos Despoudis](https://miltosdespoudis.gr/). **How much does it cost?** Check below: * 5 x Lessons Packet (2.5 hours each) cost **120€.** * First lesson try-out costs **17€**. You can do that only once. * 1 x Lesson (2.5 hours) costs **30€.** You can pay either by cash or card at the event. All of the materials are included within the ticket reservation **except the canvases.** You can paint anything on a canvas we will provide you free but if you want to keep the canvas you will have to purchase it at the same cost we bought it. Canvases range from 3 to 9 Euros. **How do I subscribe?** You need to reserve a spot here and come at the event. You can pay at the event. Please verify that you are attending so that we know and prepare accordingly with the art supplies. **What do I need?** Watercolors materials will be provided at the venue. You can also bring your own art supplies, it might be helpful to learn working with what you have. Keep in mind that working with colors might make your clothes dirty, but in general we try to be clean. **More Info** The workshop happens almost every Wednesday. Let's try a Friday Night Fish Fry!
Let's try a Friday Night Fish Fry!
We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
