Young LGBTQ+ Professionals Drinks
Young LGBTQ+ Professionals Drinks
\*\* Please RSVP - this helps the venue plan ahead and ensure enough space is reserved for us \*\* Hey everyone! Are you a young professional in your 20s/30s looking to meet other LGBT young professionals? Then we hope to see you at the upcoming Tuesday drinks! Most people come to these drinks by themselves, and half of the people are first-timers, so these evenings are great to meet new people in London. We have tables reserved on the top floor (loft) of The Yard bar in Soho. Go into the Yard, turn left, and head upstairs. Just ask the bar for the tables reserved for the "Meetup". We usually have the tables opposite to the bar. Many have noticed that it can be difficult to meet up with the LGBT community once you leave university or come to a big new city such as London. For this reason we've decided to start organising drinks for young professionals, intended for those who love to have a drink with like-minded people after a busy day of work. Do spread the word, and bring friends, colleagues and family! Frequently Asked Questions: It's my first time and I'm coming alone, should I be nervous? No, you found the right event! Almost everyone joins these drinks alone and there are always a bunch of first timers. Just grab a drink and say hi to those around the reserved tables and you'll be absolutely fine :) I cannot make it at 7.00pm, can I come later? Yes, definitely! There will always be one of the organisers present from 7.00pm onwards, but most people just join whenever they can. There is no official 'start' so to say, and it usually stays busy till around 10pm-11pm. For first timers it can be easier to mingle if you come before 8pm, when it's not that busy yet. How often are the drinks and where are they held? We have drinks every two weeks from 7.00pm at The Yard Bar in Soho. Sometimes we organise other events such as big nights out, pub crawls and picnics. Just keep an eye on the Meetup page. Is there a dress code? Nope, not at all. Just wear whatever you want. Is there a cost? Only for whatever drinks you buy at the bar. That said, if you enjoy the Meetup, we would really welcome any cash donations to help cover our costs for running the events. However, you will never be directly asked for any money from any of our team. Are the Tuesday drinks for networking? No, the drinks are super casual, and not intended to find your new dream job. We have people from all different professional backgrounds, so it's always cool to hear what others are up to. I don't drink alcohol, can I come? Of course! Since it's on a Tuesday many take it easy, so you won't be an outlier. If you have any questions don't hesitate to pop any of our organisers a message. Looking forward to meeting you all! Xx The young LGBTQ+ professionals team Xx

Leave behind stress, anxiety or unpleasant emotions for good
Leave behind stress, anxiety or unpleasant emotions for good
Do you find work stressful ? Do you have more to do than you can cope with ? Does your mind race out of control ? Do you worry a lot or even wake up in the night worrying ? Or do you suffer from any other signs of stress ? Stress and anxiety are also closely linked to depression, so this can often develop with time, so one leads to the other or you end up suffering from both. These CAN be a thing of the past. What would it be like to learn how to leave stress and anxiety, and associated moods, behind, forever ? Didn’t think it was possible ? Think again. There are some simple techniques we can learn to use that will make a massive difference, and can with time and practice make stress and anxiety a thing of the past - for good. Would you like to be able to wake up every single day with complete calmness and peace of mind, just looking forward to the day ahead, and without a single worrisome thought ? Then read on. If you’re only mildly suffering, now is a fantastic time to learn these things, before the problem gets worse. If you don’t suffer from stress, then it will build up resilience to prevent you suffering in the future. If you suffer from severe or chronic stress or anxiety already, then you absolutely need to come - this will benefit you straight away. We tend to think that mood problems can easily be ‘fixed’ with medication. This is often good in the short term but all too often it is seen as the only or permanent solution, which it isn’t. The problem with medication is that it works well for a while but either stops working, or the effectiveness reduces. Combine that with the common side effects and the possibility of addiction, and medication becomes less attractive. Medication is like cutting the weed down. But it doesn’t remove the root, or the source. So it will most likely keep coming back. And this can be seen in the statistics - after a course of medication for anxiety or depression, the relapse is huge when the medication stops. After learning how to control our moods however, the relapse rate is much, much lower. Even reading or hearing about how to control it, without putting in any effort, helps. Come along to this in person event near Ealing Broadway station, to learn some wonderful techniques for how to reduce (or eliminate) and control stress and anxiety, straight away. The event is free but at our venue you can expect to pay around £4 for a tea, coffee, cold drink or snack of your choice. Please email me to book your place by either emailing leadyourself11@gmail.com or sending me a meet-up message with your email address. I will email you back with the details of where to meet. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call me on 0785 999 5717. Finally if you prefer something online then there is a full 8 week course, which comprises 1-2 hours learning per week, and you will have full personal support and hand holding throughout. This course delivers guaranteed results or your fee is returned without quibble. Please email or phone for more details.

📜Offline Women Read Poetry
📜Offline Women Read Poetry
Step away from the screens and join us for our Offline Women Read Poetry. This is a dedicated, phone-free, quiet space where you can disconnect from digital distractions and reconnect with the beauty of words. This beautiful gathering was created and will be hosted by Angie, one of our most consistent members of Offline Women. Join our warm community to read poetry out loud together. Please bring a favourite poem with you in a book or on a piece of paper. If your poem is only on your phone, we will give you paper and pens in the first five minutes to write it down so you can put your phone away. We will have the chance to gift these handwritten poems to each other at the end. We will spend most of our time taking turns reading our poems out loud to the group. It is a simple, peaceful way to listen to each other and enjoy the rhythm of the words. Leave feeling calm and refreshed, with the sound of shared poems still in your mind, and maybe a new favourite poem beautifully handwritten by a new friend as a keepsake. Spots are limited to ensure the group remains small, intimate, and everyone has a great time connecting face-to-face.

Azure CBUS February: Build Your Own MCP Server
Azure CBUS February: Build Your Own MCP Server
### Tools in your AI's Toolbox : An introduction to MCP Servers The generative AI revolution has unlocked unprecedented capabilities, but the next frontier is agency: empowering models to interact with, query, and act upon the world. The current challenge is the “N x M integration problem,” where every AI model requires a custom, brittle integration for each external tool or data source. This approach simply doesn’t scale. How can we give an AI access to our sales leads, code repositories, or IoT devices in a standardized, secure, and reusable way? This session introduces Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open-source framework designed to solve this challenge and become the universal connector—the USB-C port—for AI. MCP standardizes how AI models discover and use external tools, moving beyond simple function-calling to a robust, client-server architecture. We will dive into how this open protocol is creating a new ecosystem for building powerful, context-aware AI agents. Join this session for a developer-focused introduction where you will learn how to: Understand the core concepts of the open-source Model Context Protocol and its architecture. Utilize pre-built, open-source MCP servers to instantly connect AI to tools like Git, Slack, and databases. Build a custom MCP server to securely expose your own proprietary data and APIs as tools for any compliant AI. Move beyond bespoke integrations and contribute to a standardized, collaborative, and open ecosystem. Stop building one-off connectors and start building intelligent agents. This session will give you the practical knowledge to leverage MCP and create the next generation of AI that doesn’t just talk, but does. Want to be a speaker? submit your talk to our Call for Presenters!!! [https://sessionize.com/azure-cbus-2026/](https://sessionize.com/azure-cbus-2026/)
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few. How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again. So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that. Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.

CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.
