About the film:
Climate change is here. As heat domes, atmospheric rivers, and wildfires reshape our world, how do we protect what matters most? EMERGENCE: Women in the Storm goes beyond the headlines to explore how women are navigating climate emergencies.
Recent disasters, including the wildfire that burned the town of Lytton to the ground and the devastating floods in the Fraser Valley, are seen through the eyes of survivors, while emergency responders and community organizers provide perspectives on preparing for â and moving beyond â the worst. Meghan Fandrichâs reflective readings from Burning Sage: Poems from the Lytton Fire, written after losing her town to the blaze, are woven together with stories of healing, resilience and hope in the face of an uncertain future.
Intimate and beautifully crafted, the film offers insights on how to live in this new reality, finding ways to carry on without giving up.

Tuesday, June 2nd, 5:00â8:30 PM Eastern
Central Ohio Chapter Meeting
IN PERSON IN COLUMBUS
How I Get Private Lenders and Partners to Fund My Deals
If you canât fund it, you donât have a deal.
And right now, funding is where more investors are getting stuck.
Private lenders are more cautious.
Partners are asking better questions.
And deals that look good on paper still fall apart when the money doesnât show up.
Thatâs why weâre bringing in a panel of investors who are actually getting their deals funded right now.
Youâll hear how theyâre finding money, structuring deals, and building relationships that lead to repeat funding.
Hereâs what youâll learn:
* Where theyâre finding private lenders today
* How they start conversations that lead to funding
* What makes lenders and partners say YES
* How they structure deals to be fundable
* The biggest mistakes investors make when raising money
* How to build repeat funding relationships
**Early Session (6:00â7:00 PM Eastern):**
**Having Trouble Finding Tenants? How Community Shelter Board Can Help**
Nicholas Brenner will walk you through programs designed to help rapidly rehouse tenants, including financial support that can stabilize your rentals.
**The Deal Room (7:00â7:30 PM Eastern)**
Bring deals, funding needs, buyers, and problems.
This is where connections turn into action.
This meeting is for serious real estate investors nationwide, and weâre known for our high-content, real-life education and our nationwide community of dealmakers.
Members and non-members at all levels are welcome.
Register below to reserve your seat.

Why Real Estate Investors Should Become Licensed Agents (And When Not To)
REGISTER HERE: [SIGN UP TODAY](https://link.elitereimm.com/widget/form/mUCJcb9LFDGoPqRg82jP?am_id=debbie4540)
Should a real estate investor get a real estate license? Sometimes itâs a massive advantage⌠and sometimes it can complicate your business if you donât know what youâre walking into.
In this training, weâll cut through the âagents vs investorsâ drama and focus on one thing: **what makes you more money and gives you more leverage**.
Youâll learn:
* **When being licensed helps investors win** (better access, better data, better terms, better deal flow)
* How investors use a license to **create extra profit centers** (commissions, referrals, listings, buyer rep, property management pathways)
* The truth about **MLS access, pocket listings, and being first to the good deals**
* How licensing impacts **wholesaling, double-closing, assignments, and disclosures**
* What brokerages donât tell you: **fees, splits, compliance, and time requirements**
* When itâs smarter to **partner with an agent** instead of becoming one
* A simple decision framework: **licensed vs partnered vs hybrid model**
Youâll walk out knowing whether licensing fits your goalsâand if it does, the cleanest path to do it without slowing down your investing.

Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you knew Del Close on a personal level, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games!
The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Not only is it a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and make friendships that'll last a lifetime!
Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "Yes, And" that you'll have fun!
