RSVP on Meetup is turned off. **Description:** Join us for a community-led developer event focused on AI-assisted coding with GitHub Copilot. This event brings together developers to explore practical workflows, real-world use cases, and hands-on experiences using GitHub Copilot. Whether you are new to GitHub Copilot or already using it, this event will help you better understand how to apply AI-assisted coding techniques in everyday development. **Agenda** \- 4:30pm: Doors open\, Snacks\, and Networking \- 5:00pm: Welcome\, Community update \- 5:10pm\~5:40pm: Tech talk: GitHub Copilot overview \- 5:40pm\~6:40pm: Tech talk: GitHub Copilot in Practice \- 6:40pm\~7:30pm: Open discussion and closing **Tech talk: Mastering GitHub Copilot CLI** **Speaker:** Aymen Furter - Cloud & AI Solution Engineer, Microsoft **Abstract:** Learn to harness the power of agentic development by transitioning to autonomous, multi-step terminal workflows. This session focuses on mastering plan-based execution, repository-aware context, and integrating external data via the Model Context Protocol. **Tech talk: GitStop Using GitHub Copilot Like a Toy** **Speaker:** Emanuele Bartolesi - GitHub Tech Lead, Xebia **Abstract:** Hub Copilot is easy to love in a demo. Real projects are different. Production codebases come with legacy code, missing context, inconsistent patterns, unclear requirements, and delivery pressure. That is where GitHub Copilot either becomes a real advantage or just an expensive toy. This talk focuses on practical ways to use Copilot in real development workflows, going beyond autocomplete. Agent mode, skills, Copilot CLI, and better prompting can make a real difference when working in messy repositories and under real deadlines. Designed for developers and tech leads who want more than flashy demos, this session shares concrete tactics to get better output, reduce noise, and make Copilot genuinely useful in day-to-day software delivery. **Speakers/Topics:** Stay tuned as we are updating speakers and schedules. If you have a keen interest in speaking to our community, we invite you to submit topics for consideration: [Submit Topics](https://forms.gle/JkMt91CZRtoJBSFUA) **Venue:** Microsoft Schweiz GmbH The Circle 02, 8058 Zürich ZH **Sponsors:** We are actively seeking sponsors to support AI developers community. Whether it is by offering venue spaces, providing food, or cash sponsorship. Sponsors will not only speak at the meetups, receive prominent recognition, but also gain exposure to our extensive membership base of 3,000+ AI developers in Zurich and 500K+ worldwide.

intergenerational women's circle
intergenerational women's circle
**Women Who Wonder: Intergenerational Women's Circle** The theme: Women and Nature Since the industrialisation of the 19th century, we have been segregated into age groups since kindergarten. This disconnect between generations costs us well-being, resilience, and even years of our lives. Women Who Wonder brings back the receptive, responsive relationships between generations. We sit together in a circle for 90 minutes, not to advise but to share, listen to and witness each other. Each participant speaks without interruption and can ask for the kind of response she would like, or silent appreciation. Being witnessed this way creates a tangible, lifting energy. **This circle's theme is women and nature.** Every participant brings her own experiences and understanding. We pass an hourglass as our talking piece. To create a safe and confidential space, every attendee signs our circle agreements on arrival. The essentials: we don't interrupt, we are non-judgemental, we don't fix, and we don't sell services. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. **About me** My name is Dr. Barbara Kleeb, I'm a coach, healer, gynaecologist and obstetrician with experience from birth to consultation, from hormones to operation. I am interested in many things, have written and recorded songs and created an online networking event for polymaths that lights people up. I feel that it is time for women to support each other, to learn with and from each other across generations. **Practical details** This meeting is free. Places are limited to 20 women. The circle is held in Swiss German and English. Location: Café Bar Flor, Seefeldstrasse 63, 8008 Zürich Date: Friday, 16 May, 5:00–6:30 pm When it's truly heard, your story becomes wisdom. \-\-\- Anything to adjust?
ZH3 Hash # 1726: Dude, where's my lube?
ZH3 Hash # 1726: Dude, where's my lube?
The recipe to success for an EPIC race day, is vigorous application of lube on your entire body. Come join for the pre-LUBE hash prior to the SOLA relay race. The aim is to find the most epic bottle of wholesale lube, and lather ourselves up prior to the big race day. Oh, and also to run, drink beer, and exchange racing strategies at a lovely on-after. Expect a short trail to save those running legs around the Schlieren area. On after will be decided depending on group size and appetite. Bag drop and start of trail will be across the street of the Schlieren Zentrum Tram stop by the Mobility Parking lot. **Where**: See location. Typically within Zurich Zone 10. Look for English speakers wearing running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm. There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards. **All Welcome:** If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know: • We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful. • The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun. • 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.* We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups. De-stress from work with somatic exercises
De-stress from work with somatic exercises
Tickets available at AnnTin studio: [https://www.eversports.ch/org/activity/a3ac0cae-7fe8-4a6d-ae56-3961e0214445](https://www.eversports.ch/org/activity/a3ac0cae-7fe8-4a6d-ae56-3961e0214445) Stress is eating you up? Can't stop overthinking? And when you finally want to get some rest after a hard day at work, you can't sleep? Prolonged stress can seriously affect your health, even contributing to burnout. The good news, there are many ways to reduce stress and keep it at a reasonable level. Somatic exercises help you regulate your nervous system, calm your body down, and release built-up tension. The exercises are part of a body psychotherapy method created by doctor and therapist Alexander Lowen in the 1950s. We are guided by one key concept: our feelings are reflected in our bodies. And our bodies have the power to regulate our emotions and heal the mind. Remember the last time you were extremely stressed? Chances are high you experienced it on a physical level. Sensations such as: Faster heartbeat - Headache - Tense shoulders - The feeling of something sitting in your throat - Stomach pains or nausea - A sense of having soft and weak legs These are just some of the examples of how our bodies react to stress. Research shows that chronic stress can have a negative impact on our heart, immune and digestive systems, hormones, and memory, to name but a few. According to a review of **various studies body psychotherapy approaches may bring about the reduction in people’s psychological distress.** This workshop will give you easy tools to use when your stress levels rise. Deepening the practice at home will help you build stress resilience in the long run. The workshop will be especially useful for people who **experience work-related stress but anyone can benefit from the practice.** What you'll learn and try out: - You'll understand your own stress response better. - You'll pay more attention to early stress signs and will be able to react before stress hits you hard. - You'll try simple exercises to manage stress tension on the go, even during a coffee break at work, not just sitting on a meditation **pillow in a quiet spa** - You'll gain the tools to build your lifelong stress resilience. We’ll cover the most common body symptoms and experiment with relevant somatic (bioenergetic) exercises for stress. The workshop is open to participants of all genders. **Your Facilitator** Anka Grzywacz is a psychologist and body psychotherapist **in training (final year of a 4.5-year training). She has extensive experience and 1.5 years of training in the facilitation of psychological workshops. She is also a sex therapist.** **Practical information** - Cozy studio near Triemli sto - Small group of max 7 people (all genders allowed - Unfortunately the workshop room is not easily accessible for people with movement difficulties (you have to go down a few steps) - Easy access via tram and train - Tickets Early Bird: 70 CHF, regular 80 CHF **Contraindications** - Pregnancy - History of psychotic episodes or taking antipsychotic medicatio - If you take antidepressants, you may participate, but only if you feel stable enough. I suggest discussing with a therapist or psychiatrist first. Somatic work in a group can be a valuable addition to talk-only psychotherapy, provided you feel stabilized - Sensitivity to noises, stomping (some people release emotions by making loud sounds, some exercises include stomping or kicking) - If you have another serious health condition or are taking strong medication, please consult your doctor first or message me for an initial assessment Here's what the participants of my somatic exercise workshops are saying *"I had the pleasure of working with Anka for a somatic exercise session, and I couldn't be more impressed with her expertise and approach. From the moment we began, Anka's calm and intuitive guidance made me feel completely at ease. She carefully tailored the session to my needs, offering clear instructions and creating a safe, supportive environment that allowed me to fully relax and connect with my body. Anka’s deep understanding of somatic principles was evident, and her ability to gently guide me through each movement left me feeling more aware, grounded, and rejuvenated. I highly recommend Anka to anyone looking to explore somatic exercises or deepen their mind-body connection.*

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
