Fullmoon Soundbath Meditation
To book: ww
A gong bath under the moon is the ultimate relaxation. You are invited to lie down under the moon and relax while the sounds of the gongs and other instruments wash over you. This session provides ultimate relaxation and supports healing through full body vibration.
These sounds act to stimulate the alpha and theta brain waves associated with meditative states of stillness; while releasing nitric oxide which supports the health of our hearts, lungs and bones, helping to regulating our nervous system, immune system, hormones and sleep cycles.
As the mind and body relax, the heart rate and blood pressure decrease and our breathing become deeper. It is in this state that deep healing can occur. Thus, a sound bath not only reduces stress and anxiety by inducing a state of relaxation, but it also has physiological benefits.
London Playtest weekend meetup
If you've designed a game, bring it along and give it a play or just enjoy playing other people's prototypes in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
If you would like to bring along a new design, contact Rob Harris (Organiser) and we will add your game to the list.
Deadline for pre-registering games is 11:59pm on the Friday before. Be sure to include the name of the game, a brief description of the gameplay, the expected duration and the amount of players.
\[name\] \[description\] \[duration\] \[amount of players\]
If you bring more than one design, add a preference for which one you would like to show first. Please feel free to still bring extra prototypes on the day. They will be added to later playtesting rounds.
(Please note that as a condition of our use of the Jugged Hare, only food and drink bought at the pub can be consumed on the premises.)
Here is the list of prototypes to be playtested:
Fleet Fire - a tactical card game where players upgrade their fleet, activate weapons with dice rolls, complete missions, and try to destroy the enemy fleet, 2 players, 45-60 mins (Faryad)

Meditations is one of the greatest works of spiritual and ethical reflection ever written. With a profound understanding of human behaviour, Marcus provides insights, wisdom, and practical guidance on everything from living in the world to coping with adversity to interacting with others.
Explore this timeless collection that has been consulted and admired by leaders, readers and thinkers throughout the centuries.
**Questions we'll explore**
1\. A philosopher without clothes and one without books\.
“I have nothing to eat,” says he, as he stands there half-naked, “but I subsist on the logos.”
And with nothing to read, I subsist on it too. (30)
*What do you make of this?*
2\. Then what should we work for?
Only this: proper understanding; unselfish action; truthful speech.
A resolve to accept whatever happens as necessary and familiar, flowing like
water from that same source and spring. (33)
*What are the implications?*
3\. To pass through this brief life as nature demands\.
To give it up without complaint.
Like an olive that ripens and falls.
Praising its mother, thanking the tree it grew on. (48)
*How do you feel about this?*
4\. So remember this principle when something threatens to cause you
pain: the thing itself was no misfortune at all;
to endure it and prevail is great good fortune. (49a)
*Do you agree or disagree?*
5\. Take the shortest route\, the one that nature planned—to speak and act in the healthiest way\.
Do that, and be free of pain and stress, free of all calculation and pretension. (51)
*How would you go about this?*

Yoga & Art Club
**Join Psyfer and Akme for a mind/body/art session.**

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 11 at Streetlight Guild.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
**SCHEDULE:**
6:45ish - Quick introductions
7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour
8:00 - The End
**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

Happy writing & I look forward to seeing you at Streetlight Guild!

Whatever you need to be able to write! You're welcome to bring earplugs/headphones if noise will bother you!

* **COVID:** While masks are not required, please be mindful of the other writers around you and their comfort levels.
* **WIFI/OUTLETS:** Outlets are limited, so please ensure your devices are charged when you come! But Streetlight Guild does have free WiFi! Yay!
