## 🐦 Birdsong Mindfulness Walks 🌿 *Slow, nature-based mindfulness in Barcelona* ### 🌿 TLDR — Please read before joining * Slow, mindful meditation walk (not fitness or hiking). * Birdsong as a mindfulness anchor (not birdwatching). * No individual Reiki during the walk for larger groups *(5-min Reiki available before/after if requested).* *** ## **🌅 Dawn Chorus Edition** 🌅 **Dawn Chorus Edition – February 8** This walk will be a **Dawn Chorus** edition, meeting at **8:00 AM**. The *dawn chorus* is the natural phenomenon where birds sing most actively in the early morning, just before and after sunrise. At this time of day, the world is quieter, the air is cooler, and birdsong is often richer, clearer, and more layered. Walking during the dawn chorus offers a rare opportunity to listen deeply, move slowly, and begin the day grounded in presence and sound. Everything else about the walk remains the same — slow pace, gentle guidance, moments of stillness, and an optional short Reiki session at the end. *** ### ✨ What we’ll do * Begin with a short, gentle grounding practice * Walk at a **slow, mindful pace** (intentionally slower than a usual walk) * Use **birdsong and natural sounds** as anchors for awareness * Pause at times to listen, sense, or simply be still * Close with a few moments of shared stillness For larger groups, **individual Reiki is not offered during the walk**. If you’d like a **short 5-minute Reiki session**, feel free to let me know in advance or come speak with me **before or after** the walk (always by consent). *** ### 🐦 A note on birds This is **not a birdwatching walk**, though we use birdsong as a meditation anchor. We usually don't have any agenda other than eat, drink and talk. :) If the weather is nice we will be on the back patio, otherwise we are in the cigar room. This group has been meeting every Tuesday evening for over a decade. Many attendees do not RSVP on meetup. Please don't let the small number here discourage you. Anyone/everyone is welcome to come. We'd love to have you join us. COTA bus #5 comes to W. 5th and Wyandotte Rd. And it's a minute walk to the restaurant.

We will have lunch at Cap City Diner in Gahanna at 12:00 then walk over to the theater afterwards. The Movie Solo Mio starts at 1:20.It will be posted when tickets available to purchase probably the week before then we’ll post our seat number so we can all sit together 😎
