Planetarium Nights is an adults-only after-hours program at Melbourne Planetarium, with fulldome screenings in a dark, immersive dome setting. For this meetup, we’ll attend the 9:00pm session of XYZZY. Museums Victoria describes it as a psychedelic musical odyssey through a complex fictional world, combining animated hand-drawn compositions, surreal architecture, hallucinogenic patterns, alien deities, and 90s-inspired electronic synthesiser tracks. This will be a relaxed, low-pressure meetup for anyone interested in immersive art, animation, music, astronomy-adjacent experiences, or trying something different on a Friday night. You’re very welcome to come solo.
