Craft Night
Craft Night
**Craft Night has returned to Tog!** *From 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm every second Sunday, drop by and join in.* Whether you make the yarn itself (we love spinners!) or noodle about with e-textiles and blinky quilts, you will be very welcome. If you haven’t been to Craft Night before, it’s mainly people working on portable crafts like yarn-based and textile projects, jewellery and paper crafts. Feel free to bring your current WIP (Work In Progress). We’ll take over the common area with crafting and conversation. We might even try to bring a group Craft Night project to Dublin Maker (it’s been a while!). You’ll find the nights on [our calendar](https://www.tog.ie/calendar/), so you don’t need to remember which every other Sunday it is. Newcomers to Tog are more than welcome to join us. See you there!
reviving gardans, Growing community
reviving gardans, Growing community
**Hands in the Soil: Community Growing, Learning & Craic** This first gathering will be a relaxed mix of **hands-on garden work, shared learning, and good conversation**. It’s about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there. On the day, we’ll: * Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep * Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally * **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices * Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food * Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, we’ll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea: * The possibility of **small community “park farms” or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin * What that might look like, what’s realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further There’s no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Whether you’re experienced with gardening or completely new, you’re very welcome. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and if you have them, gloves. Everything else will be very low-key. This is just a **first step** — a chance to meet, work, talk, and see if there’s a shared appetite to keep growing something together.
The Unplugged Club (Art, Chats, Journalling, Reading, Writing, Fun))
The Unplugged Club (Art, Chats, Journalling, Reading, Writing, Fun))
A phone free night to connect with others, create, read, write, relax or just chill. No technology and lots of things to do. A phone-free night in Dublin city centre to slow down and spend time offline. It's a €3 entry but **free for all Meetup members,** just show you're part of the group at the door :) Come along for an easygoing evening of reading, making, chatting, relaxing, or just having a break from screens for a few hours. No phones, no notifications, no pressure to do anything in particular. The welcome event is taking place in a mystery venue near Temple Bar and will only be sent to ticket holders. We’ll have a large upstairs space with light background music and plenty of room to settle in however you feel like. Attendees are encouraged to come alone as we want people to meet others. There’ll be collage materials, paper, pens, magazines, and drawing supplies available throughout the night. Bring a book if you’ve been meaning to read. Start a collage. Draw. Journal. Meet someone new. Come with friends or come on your own. You’re welcome to chat with people or keep to yourself. Both are equally encouraged. This is simply a space to switch off for a while and enjoy being present, around other people doing the same. ### On the night • Collage materials and magazines • Paper, pens and drawing materials • Space to read, write or journal • Bring your own book • Light background music • Plenty of seating • A relaxed, phone-free atmosphere Come unwind with us. **Everyone is welcome but our policy is 22+ for all Unplugged Club events** , in the future we will be doing events for younger people too :) NOTE: We will be taking photos and videos at this event. (I know, phone free but we need to get some content for our new club :) **The Unplugged Club**

Let’s play… Monster of the Week / The Quiet Year
Let’s play… Monster of the Week / The Quiet Year
Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games - you will choose which game you play on the day. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of each game, you just need to bring your imagination. 🎭 **This week's facilitators:** * 🧛**Antonia** with *[Monster of the Week](https://evilhat.com/product/monster-of-the-week/)*. You are part of a ragtag group of hunters who investigate the strange, the supernatural, and the terrifying. Think *Buffy*, *Supernatural*, or *The X-Files*. Ordinary people (or mostly ordinary) who know that the darkness is real, that every fairytale and folk story contains some truth. As a hunter, you've decided to do something about it. This week, your group hears of a series of murders happening in Allberg. Four bodies in six weeks. All lost more blood than their wounds suggest. In addition, weird symbols have been found around each victim. Can you find the culprit and prevent further tragedy? * 🏘️ **Adam** with *[The Quiet Year](https://buriedwithoutceremony.itch.io/the-quiet-year)*, a GM-less, map-making game. You define the struggles of a community living after the collapse of civilisation, and attempt to build something good within their quiet year. Every decision and every action is set against a backdrop of dwindling time and rising concern. The game is played using a deck of cards – each of the 52 cards corresponds to a week during the quiet year. Each card triggers certain events – bringing bad news, good omens, project delays and sudden changes in luck. At the end of the quiet year, the Frost Shepherds will come, ending the game. *** Feel free to ask the organisers any questions you have (here or on our [Discord server](https://tinyurl.com/indie-rpgs-dublin)).
