We know these group rules wonโ€™t suit everybody, and thatโ€™s okayโ€”there are many other groups where you might feel more at home. To keep things safe, fun, and positive, we have 8 simple rules for people attending our events. Over the past 9 years, weโ€™ve removed 342 people (around 0.8%) for breaking themโ€”so please read carefully! โŒ Not a dating group โ€“ Weโ€™re here to make friends and share experiences, not find soulmates. ๐Ÿ“ต No phone numbers โ€“ Youโ€™re welcome to swap social media if you both agree, but please donโ€™t share or ask for phone numbers. Please donโ€™t add people to WhatsApp or other groups. ๐Ÿ”ž Our events are only open to people aged 18 and older. ๐Ÿ“ข No advertising โ€“ Please donโ€™t promote other events, groups, or businesses here. ๐Ÿ˜… Donโ€™t be clingy โ€“ Give people space to mingle and chat with others too. ๐Ÿš— No carpooling โ€“ For safety reasons and insurance coverage, we donโ€™t allow carpooling or ride-sharing through the group. ๐Ÿ’ฐ No sales pitches โ€“ That means no selling, MLMs, pyramid schemes, or โ€œlife-changing mentorships.โ€ Keep it scam-free. By joining an event, you agree to follow these rules. Breaking them means removal from all our groupsโ€”no exceptions. Thank you! **Liability Waiver:** The organizer of this group cannot accept any liability for any loss, damage, injury, or accident to participants or their property at this event. Meditation and Discussion Group: The Laws of the Universe
Join Stephen Fiyalko, President of the Melbourne Theosophical Society for meditation, self attunement, study and discussion on the Laws of the Universe. We welcome all to join at 5:30pm for a 30 min Meditation and will begin the discussion group at 6:00pm. For those who prefer to just attend the discussion group you're welcome to arrive at 6pm. An understanding of and action within the Laws through our choices give practical tools for facing, managing and surmounting with confidence the many challenges we face in our daily lives, in society and the world itself. Ignorance of the Laws can leave us adrift to be buffeted and feel overwhelmed by stormy seas. Each week will look at one of the twelve Laws which are principles, not rules, seeking a deeper understanding of that Law, our and their inter-relationship with the other Laws. Discussion will involve sharing stories from our lives which contribute to a growing understanding and confidence in our lives. Each session is free, but donations are welcome.

This is your perfect Sunday plan! ๐ŸŽ‰ Weโ€™re excited to invite you to our upcoming Melbourne Social Hike. A welcoming day out where the focus is all about fun, friendships and fresh air. Whether you come solo or bring a mate, youโ€™ll leave with new connections and memories! ------------------------------------------------------- ๐Ÿš™ Carpooling Makes It Happen Social Hikes Australia runs on community spirit and carpooling is a big part of that. Every seat offered means another hiker can join the adventure. Less cars, easier logistics, more fun together. Carpooling is a great way to start the day by meet new people, share a few laughs, and arrive at the trail together. Drivers, your contribution makes a huge difference, and passengers, your gratitude keeps it all running smoothly. Itโ€™s simple, social and one of the best parts of the Social Hikes Australia experience. ๐Ÿš—๐ŸŒฟ ------------------------------------------------------- ๐Ÿ‘‰ Carpool Driver information If youโ€™ve got spare seats and donโ€™t mind some company, offering a lift is one of the best ways to kick off the day ๐Ÿš™๐Ÿ’จ. It makes the trip more fun, helps out fellow hikers who donโ€™t have a car and is an easy way to make a few friends before we even hit the trail. Plus, fewer cars means less parking stress and a smoother start for everyone. For passengers, itโ€™s the easiest way to get to the trail, meet new people and enjoy the ride together instead of travelling alone. In our Social Hikes Australia community, many people are more than happy to help out those without cars itโ€™s part of what makes these days feel so welcoming and connected. โœจ Best practice: Passengers should try to secure transportation before purchasing a ticket to avoid any last-minute stress. Important Carpooling Note Drivers and passengers should stick with the arrangements they make. We do not recommend swapping drivers or cars after youโ€™ve agreed on a ride. If you do decide to change, please make sure all parties are clearly informed and agree to avoid confusion. If a driver forgets, gets mixed up, or doesnโ€™t pick you up, Social Hikes Australia (and your driver) are not liable for any inconvenience caused. For this reason, it is best to keep things simple with the driver you first arranged with. In the transport chat, drivers will share their preferred pick-up locations often major CBD train stations like Parliament, Richmond, South Yarra, Southern Cross, or North Melbourne. For this hike, the nearest station to the trail is Frankston , though drivers may choose whichever spot is most convenient for them. Passengers can then join from those locations. ------------------------------------------------------- ๐Ÿคฉ Why Join? ๐ŸŒŸ Make new friends in a super easy, zero pressure way ๐ŸŒŸ Enjoy nature and fresh air with great company ๐ŸŒŸ Friendly vibes full of laughs, chats and good times guaranteed ๐ŸŒŸ Your next hiking buddy might just become your next uni mate, housemate or travel buddy! ------------------------------------------------------- ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Tickets: All tickets are $20 per person. Let's try a Friday Night Fish Fry!
Let's try a Friday Night Fish Fry!
We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
